We are travelling from Portland Victoria to South Australia to meet up with Pprass at Point Elliot. We spent last nigh in Langhorne Creek at the Frank Potts reserve and today we headed to Milang and then Point Sturt and Clayton Bay.We enjoyed our tour of the cemetery - sadly the container is cracked and in need of some love. Nice to see a bigger container though. Thanks for contributing to a fun day out Aussie M & M
Well after a whirl wind tour of Tasmania to help with 3 challenges that Im working on, I got back in late Tuesday night then packed the car and headed off to SA early Wednesday morning to attend the Leap Year Mega and to also tick off some LGAs along the way as well.Well after crossing the border the other day and staying in Millicent and then Wellington last night its now time for more LGAs and head towards Cape Jervis for the night. So its LGA time and any others as I make my way Westish. After coming back on the ferry again I was on my way.A nice little town and another cemetery to have a wander around. There was quite a few Potts buried here and I eventually found the old postmasters grave.I soon found what was needed, did the maths and headed off to GZ which was dotted with holes so watch your footing.Cache was soon located and my name added to the log. Thanks Aussie M & M TFTMC.
Out for the day with The White Dog Gang. All caches found were in good order unless otherwise mentioned. The weather was cool and drizzly and the mozzies were out in force at times. Thanks to all who placed caches.

With my geosister H423L for a caching day before heading to cairns tomorrow. Another cemetery multi that I love that she stopped for me to do. FP from me TFTC
Another 'didnt know this was here'. Interesting way of looking at the history of some of our oldest towns. No either today. TFTC Aussie M&M.
Really enjoyed this little multi we so love a cemetery cache. Despite the warning on the gate nil were spotted phew. TFTC Aussie M&M
With the weather in my end of the Adelaide Hills being dire today, I’ve headed south. I’m not sure if Strathalbyn counts as being in the rain shadow, but the strategy is working so far.
I thought I already had the answer to one of the questions, but as Kookacrew noted, there have been a lot of Potts in this town. A quick find once I had the correct numbers; thanks Aussie M & M.

Not sure why we have never taken the short detour to this cache before, suppose its one of those "we havent got time" things. After talking with one of Postmaster Potts' descendants just up the road for about half an hour we came further down here to the cemetery, he was so interesting, telling us about the vineyard irrigation setup and a bit about his ancestors, he also owns the brewery just near Langehorne Creek!!
Wow there a heap of Potts buried here, bit sad to read some of the gravestones and see how young some of the early settlers died, life was tough!
After doing the calculations for this nice straight forward multi we set off to Ground Zero, found the cache in good condition, signed the log and replaced safe and sound as found. TNLN

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. A beautiful day today, perfect for geocaching. All good here TFTC.
We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs & wine. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

Camping at Langhorne creek for a lazy weekend of R&R and of course caching. Today was our last day and we headed out to finish off a few before packing up, hooking up and heading home. Wow they have gone Potty in this cemetery with all the Potts!! We found the postmaster and got the finals, a quick walk and soon the cache was in hand. TFTC
So many Potts graves here. Eventually found the right one and then found the cache.
It looked like it was going to be great weather for caching today, so I made a late decision this morning to head out for the day.
I headed towards Milang and Langhorne Creek, also caching at Wistow, Strathalbyn and Macclesfield along the way. Multis and puzzle caches were my main targets.
The required information was quickly collected and the final coordinates calculated. The cache was found in good condition.
Thanks Aussie M & M for the cache.

We decided to collect a few more caches around the Langhorne Creek area, along with ilook4geo, before heading to another destination.
The info needed here was easily obtained from the right head stone and then it was not too far to go to make the find.
Thanks go to Aussie M & M for adopting this cache.

Left Mt Barker after the long weekend of caching, climbing walking and just relaxing. We decided to get more caches today. We had more success than failures and also got a few Multi's. There are still more caches to find so we will be back. TFTC
Full time nomads exploring SA, currently staying in Strathalbyn. Mr Felix decided to ride his bike along the Nurragi track today, whilst he did that Mrs F tackled a few drivebys nearby.

Stopped here with Gizmo's Gang & CPwanderer.
As Gizmo's gang had been here before,
she found the cache before the waypoint, which we eventually found.
This place needs to be renamed as Potts cemetery, lots of potts...

We went for a drive today and visited a cemetery. Interesting story. We like history
We did our sums and found a cache
TFTC Aussie M & M
It is time to go back and actually log on line those caches for which we have only submitted draft logs. As our drafts have hit well over 200 we need to work through them.
While we may no longer remember the specifics of each event we are pretty sure we met and spoke with the usual subjects, and drank coffee, and chatted about geocaching and other stuff. We also quite possibly shared some hints about one or more of our own puzzles as we do get asked about these from time to time ??
As far as physical caches are concerned we remember all the puzzles, although some are harder than others [;] and mostly the hides.
As far as trads and multis are concerned we most often pick these up while traveling or at least while we are out and about for other reasons. Nearly always a bit of fun and good to break up a long trip.

My first geocache for 2021. Todays learners drive with my son took us to Langhorn Creek where we found 3 caches in total. A Multi, a Puzzle and a Traditional. It didn't take us long to work out the final and find the cache. I did notice that there a quite a few Potts in this cemetery. TFTC Aussie M&M
Catching up with late logs.
We made a spur of the moment choice to visit South Australia and try our luck at the Adventure Labs here as well as anything else that popped up close by
What an interesting life Post Master Potts must have had. We followed the requested respect that is due in this type of area and once we had the information we headed off to GZ.
Once there the cache was located quickly as it was sitting in the open. One we had added our name to the log we re hid it a bit better.
Many thanks DustyandDizz for showing us this location.

After a bit of a search around the first way point and finding a few similar headstones I eventually came across the one and only... quickly worked what I needed to and ventured off to find it. Great cache just off the beaten track. Cache and contents are all good. SLTNLN TFTC
A nice and peaceful spot out here, after a quick calc the cache was found and is all good, not very well hidden though
Today I headed from Adelaide to the south east and made a few detours along the way for the long weekend, 36 finds plus a new set of adventure labs found.

Today, jesswrigley and I headed to Strathalbyn and Langhorne Creek. We spent a bit of time in Strathalbyn walking around the town's parks completing the adventure lab, and then headed east to a few of Langhorne Creek's wineries. A few stops and tastes of the drops, and as time went on and it got colder, we returned to Strathalbyn for a few remaining geocache stops, and then back home for the day.
Some nice history here. We arrived and soon worked out the required coordinates. We were surprised at where GZ turned out to be, as I had suspected that it was another hide location after passing Potts Reserve travelling through town nearby. I soon learned that the Potts family were famous residents in this region.
We found the coordinates slightly out, but otherwise the hide wasn't too difficult. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks DustyandDizz for the cache placement, and Aussie M & M for its ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

When found the container was well and truly buggered, log book saturated and water in the base. Replaced the container with a 700ml screw-top bottle with a new logbook in a placky bag

A nice ride out on the push bike this afternoon to find a quiet resting place for many local pioneers and their families, from the good old pioneering days.
Our thoughts go to the early settlers and the hard effort and toil it took to settle this land for future generations.
Thanks for sharing this interesting local historical site.
We found your cache tucked away though broken, with signing duties done and dusted we replaced the cache as found.
Though, with the winter weather about to come in heavy soon, this cache container is broken and desperately needs replacing before the winter rains set in.

This was one of the target caches. Mmm. the sign on the gate made me think of CP. I am glad he wasn't with me today or I would certainly find one! A quick calculation and I was at GZ for a quick find.

Easy multi, quick find. The inside of the cache is wet as wet; the logbook has started to fall apart but is still signable.
#2877 Always enjoy a wander around a remote cemetery oozing with history. We finally found the Postmaster amongst all the Potts. Some quick calcs and we had a likely gz which produced the goods. Not sure about the object that was used to cover the cache. Thanks postiegirl06.
Stopped by on my way to Meningie. A nice quiet spot but you get that in a cemetery . It's interesting to look around the grave sites. Gives a small glimpse of the history of a place. Thanks for this nice multi.
Ok ... time for a road trip - Mum and Dad came down from Qld, in their campervan, for a visit, then Mum flew home (ready to go overseas with a friend) and Dad and I headed off in the campervan, on a trip from Canberra (where I live) to Adelaide (where I was born) for his sister's 80th ... we spent a week driving there the long way, and taking our time visiting some interesting places and checking out a few places we used to visit/live/etc ... and stopping for me to find the odd cache or 5 ... or more ... lol
We then spent a week around Norlunga, Moana, Sellicks Beach, Mt Compass, etc catching up/visiting/doing things with relatives, and driving around looking at places we used to live/do stuff/etc, and a few beaches and other interesting things ... and me finding caches here and there as we went
TFTC - We camped at the free camp, and as there was still an hour or 2 of daylight left when we arrived, I decided to go for a walk up the road, along the track to this cache, and back along the other road ... and because I was walking past the wine tasting place, and it was still open - I decided to also sample a couple of the local wines ... and beers ... (Just a taste, and I wasn't driving anyway
It was a lovely walk up beside the vines, and paddocks, and along a bush track to the "dead centre" ... Took a few photos on my way, and there ... found the info, did the working out, found the cache, took the TB and then had another lovely walk back ... stopping frequently to take a heap more photos - lol - and I arrived back at the camp as it got dark
Then later in the evening we got to watch a distant fireworks display through the trees ...

I went to log the TB I found in here, and it wasn't listed as being in here ... so I looked it up - and it said it was in a cache in Meadows ... er ... We didn't even go to Meadows ... I found it in here
So ... I am writing this note so I can explain that, and "visit" it here ... seeing it actually was in this cache for at least a little while

# 1631 - On the road with Triciac2 from Qld to SA we try to find a cache (or two ) at every stop.
We stayed at the nearby campground and as we like to go for a walk in the morning this would do us very well. We had a nice walk, worked out the new coordinates and had the cache in hand in no time. After a stroll around the cemetery we made our way back to the campground.

Decided to go for a nice Sunday drive that ended up being 300km from home to Strathalbyn, Langhorne Creek, Wellington, Jervois and Tailem Bend grabbing the odd cache along the way. [^]
When I left home the sun was shining, but the further I drove the greyer and windier it got and I encountered the odd shower of rain, but mostly while I was driving, not while I was looking for caches...that was pretty lucky.
Arrived here and had to wait a couple of minutes for a shower to pass over then I headed in to find Postmaster Potts, which I did quite easily given the coordinates were spot on. [^] Gathered the required info and headed off to find the cache.

We certainly enjoyed the wander around the cemetery. First, Find Mr. Potts, there are certainly a lot of them. Thanks to the staring co-ords the one we needed was and easy find, and the headstone was easy to read. Once we collected the information we headed to the new GZ. All is in good condition.

We came to L C to drop the oldest Ratbag off at the oval to participate in a footy trial match, went and did a lovely tasting at Bremerton Winery and thought we'd quickly grab a cache or two.

We are in the area because Ratbag 1 has a trial match at the nearby oval. While he warmed up, so did Apty and I down at Bremerton wines (OMG the Malbec is soooooo good!). Had enough tasting on two Weetbix and a little biscuit so time to find a cache.
Gosh, there's a shortage of caches in this area, isn't there? I'm not far away, really, and would be happy to place more caches just as an excuse to go pick up more Malbec when I do cache maintenance
Anyway, nice easy multi, and glad to see where this one was *respectfully* placed. Thank you for that [^]

#11618. Day 5 of our SA holiday. Today Robmc and I moved camp - left Robe and headed to Victor Harbor. It seemed a long trip and just for good measure we threw in a good assortment of cache finds along the way. Crossed the river at Wellington and had a very nice late lunch at Strathalbyn.
We thought we had found the right Potts but then we realised there were Potts and Potts and more Potts - oh dear! Eventually, we spied Postmaster Potts and then we soon had the cache to hand. Contents and log book have dried out now.
Thanks postiegirl06

Day Five of our holiday, BettyBoo3747 and I left Robe and headed around Encounter Bay to Victor Harbor. We did a few caches on the way.
Potts to the left of us, Potts to the right, and here I am stuck in the middle.....trying to work out which one we wanted!
Thanks goodness for accurate co-ordinates and a GPSr.
We did our calculation and walked off to GZ for a dry find.
(we had a nasty feeling you might have put the final in the Frank Potts Park back in town - it was full of muggles!)
Thanks, Robmc.

Found after having a win at footy against Langhorne Creek. It took 5 hours to get back to Victor. Found many caches on the way home.

Finding the correct gravestone nearly sent us Potty!
Once we located the postmaster, the rest was a formality. We always enjoy a PG06 cemetery cache.
Thanks postiegirl06.
