Off on another adventure around Strathalbyn! Thanks for the cache, found with Chloe!
One of 18 Nurragi Reserve caches logged today to complete the series for me, with the exception of the new one at the north end that Ill collect at a later date. A beautiful walk at this time of year; everything is green, the wattle is out, snakes all still asleep. No issue with coordinates or cache condition and no DNFs. I headed towards Milang (autocorrect insists its Milano) today, otherwise you have the sun in your eyes all afternoon. An enjoyable afternoon, thanks for the cache and the series Hurtle.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Milan a few days to do the Nurragi track caches and to grab others in the area. Quick find. Thanks for the hide. LNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. Staying at Milang for a few days exploring the area and picking up a few caches. along the way. Thanks for the cache. LNCU
Paddle Chick and myself are heading to Victor Harbour area as she is going for a paddle today. Getting caches along the way
Found it after the Milang event, we ( myself a , Kayche23, northstar76, Superman_22 ) walked the full Nurragi Walk. We saw a lizard, kangaroos hopping through the field, and a ton of ants .
This was a maintenance run for the CO, we replaced some containers, replaced some logbooks, removed a container at a location where there was two, removed an archived and dropped in a new one.
All logs signed as “Dave’s Mob”, aka doineedthis, aka The Brown Family aka “the coloured mint tin by the sea people”

doineedthis, kayche23, Superman_22, northstar76 and myself went on a walk to collect this series after the Milang meet up event nearby. We did the whole 12.5km walk.
We also performed maintenance on the CO's behalf when it was required.
After consideration at the event, we decided to write "Dave's Mob" in all cache log books.
It was a good day with nice weather and meeting some new cachers which is always good, as well as catching up with familiar faces.
Stories were told and laughs were had, as well as 51 caches found for the day. Thanks Dave for getting us all together.
Quick find here today, all is well with this cache.
Thanks Hurtle for this cache and series, which brings Goldy's total find count to 2674 on the 25th of March 2023.
I have hosted quite a few CITO's in my time, making huge differences thanks to the people who came along!
Whether you're out finding caches or just taking a stroll somewhere, remember to always be CITO-ing to help maintain our parks and reserves!

I spent the day venturing around Meadows and Strathalbyn. I was particularly targeting caches for my 360 degree from home grid.
I parked on Dry Plains road and headed off on foot. I walked a few kilometres south picking up 9 caches before turning around. Then I picked up another 5 north of where I parked the car.
Quite a bit of walking but it was very enjoyable. One DNF on this section of the trail but the rest were all found without problems.
A very enjoyable day. A little bit of rain but it didn’t last long. I will return soon to finish the unfound caches.
Thanks for the cache Hurtle.

Unfortunately the container appears to be missing, also had a good search in the wider area, checked hints and previous logs for clues.
Oh no, a broken line of smilies. No luck for us today. There appears to be a likely spot with a couple of stones at the base of a tree. There is also a mallee root nearby but still no luck. Searched for 10 minutes and then searched a little more. Thanks for bringing us here regardless.
Out and about caching around the Milang area while staying close by in Victor. Today the Nurragi Walk trail was targeted on the geobike. This cache was one that was found today. All good here.

Set out today with the bike to tackle the Nurragi Walk series. Waited out a couple of short showers early in the day so it was going to be close to dark when I finished.
But that didn't happen, instead a puncture with only 6 to go Not up to fixing them on the trail yet so it was an almost 4K walk back to the car.
All caches attempted were, thanks to good co-ords, quickly found, usually without taking GPSr off bike. I'll be back for those other six sometime.
Thanks to Hurtle for putting out this cache for me to find

Full time nomads exploring SA, currently staying in Strathalbyn. Mr Felix decided to ride his bike along the Nurragi track today, whilst he did that Mrs F tackled a few drivebys nearby.

Caching with Southern Cross Caching along the Nurragi Trail and beyond. We parked a vehicle at each end and took the mountain bikes along the trail. Although the trail is flat and more of a walking track than a bike track it wasn't too difficult apart from having to lift the bike over the fence at each end of each section.
This cache was found at 11:56:00 AM and was 7 of 66 finds today.
Apologies for the generic log but it is a powertrail. Thanks Hurtle

Found with Shonky Logic on a great day out in an attempt to close in on 100 for the year, poor effort I know. But 2020's been that sort or year. We had a great ride along this trail and found all but one cache.

In Port Elliott today, cooler day today, out for a few caches around Milang this afternoon. Bike on the car with the anticipation of getting some on the Nurragi walk. TFTC
Beautiful day to be out caching. Didn't do the trail soon after publishing as I was out of action for 2 to 3 years. First time on a bike in awhile. Thanks for the series Hurtle.
The whole team found this one before the millions of flies nearly carried us away.
Decided today was a good day to get on the mountain bike and grab some of these Nurragi walk caches. TFTC
Thanks Hurtle for Nurragi Walk. I had a blast today riding its length. I appreciate the effort in placing and maintaining these caches.
Finally having a day off from work, I joined @Davidwazza and gridge98 on this trail, which was also my first time on a mountain bike! The weather was great to us until the end of the day although there were some grimacing clouds in the sky, it actually turned out to be a perfect day with a lovely temperature and only a few raindrops towards the end of the day. I definitely don't enjoy power trails, but enjoyed the boys doing most of the finds, hopping on and off the bikes, and very much enjoyed the day (although being a power trail).
We started at Marker #1 at the old Sandergrove School, and then rode 10 km towards Milang. At the Finniss-Milang Road, we decided to make a shortcut to the town to have lunch at the bakery before it closed. We then made a small loop of the town collecting those caches, seeing the old train station, and then following the old railway tracks as it returned us back to the Nurragi railway trail. We ended up riding back a little in the Moonlight, a fun day!

A last minute plan last night, and very weather dependent, a plan to head down and complete the Nurragi Walk series with [@Davidwazza](http://coord.info/PR61VZX) and Jesswrigley. Turned out to be a lovely day and a perfect set up to ride the bikes along the trail. Majority of the caches are in good condition and all the co ords were perfect and within 2m.
Thanks Hurtle for the series, an enjoyable one.

Reviewing the weather, @jesswrigley, [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY), and I decided to take our mountain bikes (with [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) bringing his all purpose all terrain geocaching bike) to ride this Nurragi Conservation Reserve linear trail. We studied the photos of the trail to ascertain if it would be too muddy to ride with the rain about the place, but it seemed to be ok to ride. I had spoken to the CO previously who mentioned it was an enjoyable power trail to ride, as some websites suggested it was walking only, but in the end, we were really glad that we rode. It seemed to be quite a slow trail if we were just walking, and we even passed a couple of other riders on bikes also halfway. Although there were some grimacing clouds in the sky, it actually turned out to be a perfect day with the right temperature and only a few raindrops towards the end of the day.
I'm not really sure if I enjoy power trails, but on bikes, they are awesome. It gets you outside out and about, and allows the trail to be more interesting. Most of the geocaches were found reasonably quickly with thanks to good coordinates, and we didn't have any DNFs for the day. Most in good condition, although there were a few that were starting to show their age with cracking due to the UV, like the old fruit containers. However, they were probably still ok for another 1-2 years before requiring to replace. I did come with some backup containers and logbooks anyway, but didn't need to use them other than a few plastic bag replacements.
We started at Marker #1 at the old Sandergrove School, and then rode progressively through approximately 10 km once we neared Milang at the Finniss-Milang Road, we decided to make a shortcut to the town to have lunch at the bakery before it closed. We then made a small loop of the town collecting those caches, seeing the old train station, and then following the old railway tracks as it returned us back to the Nurragi railway trail. [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) and I then accelerated our cache collection as time marched on, and had to ride back along the trail back to the car. It took a little more time than what we had planned, and the last few kilometres were done in the dwindling light and dark, which added another adventurous element to the day. Luckily some moonlight allowed us to see a few metres ahead of us, and no trees or branches were harmed (nor us) during that time. Thanks Hurtle for the series, and all in great condition. Cheers!

After a surprise Tuesday Trekking this week for some members of the Puzzled Puzzlers as some could only make Tuesday, the usual Wednesday walkabout really was to be a walkabout. [P] We were going to tackle the entire Nurragi Walk from Sandergrove to Milang in one hit. I was joined today by Anymules, Sushilord and Blackadders. Cars either end meant it was only a one way walk!
Still not having any trouble finding the caches.

I was surprised by the variety of vegetation along the length of the reserve.

Another day of the usual Puzzled Puzzlers group outing. This time with a Mule, Starfish and A fish Lord.
The Plan, leave one car at the end of the series then start at the beginning.
Now recovering from the sore leg and calf muscles that are not used to walking that far. No nasties seen along the way and surprisingly no major injuries.
All caches were found in good order except where mentioned in logs from other members of the team.
Thanks for the series Hurtle.

As tomorrow is going to be 39 degrees I decided to come down tonight and go for an evening maintenance walk. I checked on 12 of this series and another 4 other hides along the way too.
Some containers and/or logbook were replaced, some GZ co-ords tweaked, some cache creep was encountered too. All up only one of the 12 was missing.

Decide to divide this walk into sections and then take two days to complete it. By doing short sections at a time we didn’t have to carry too many supplies with us and we could stop at any time. For this first section we parked at the access point on Dry Plains Road and walk to the Nurragi Road collecting every second cache on the way out and the remaining caches on the way back.
We found fourteen caches, sadly had to mark three with DNF on this section and it took 2 hours.
Thanks Hurtling Posties

What better way to deal with a heat wave than a long walk. Up this way for daughters surf school so grabbing a few caches. TFTC
I thought I would come here for a walk and find some caches to finish of the year. I was by myself and walked from #1 to the multi #8 which was 5.5kms so I ended up doing a 11km walk once I had returned to the car. Along the way I saw foxes, rabbits, kangaroos and lots of different bird life. Thanks for the series Hurtle, I'll be back to finish the rest another day.

Did more of the Nurragi walk from Nurragi Rd to Tucker Rd today, finding all caches and 1 TB for our efforts. We came prepared for the mozzies this time (see our 5/2/17 logs) but encountered non thankfully. Saw lots of roos, bunnies, a blue-tongue, little bird life this time and no snakes. A pleasant walk, thoroughly enjoyed it - thanks Hurtle for the series!
Sorry for the delay in logging. We had a day trip out with HevWalker and geomutts. Was a lovely walk. Just need to organise a day to complete the other half
A lovely day to be out doing part of this walk today with the_xtrailers, their girls & our dogs...
We saw kangaroos along the trail...
The caches were easily located...
Thanks for bringing us to this peaceful place, Hurtle.

Today the plan was for me to knock off as many of this trails as I could. Was a bit concerned with the weather forecast but thankfully we didn't get to anything like 37 degrees. Geohusband dropped the hound and I off at the start and we headed off on our merry way. Thoroughly enjoyed the walk as did the hound. I kept thinking about the snake attribute and was worried the hound would come one as he made regular forays off the track. But it was me that had an encounter with a snake I stepped on a brown snake that must have been on the trail. I had looked away from the path to the gps as knew I was approaching a cache, heard and felt the snake, then thought I was going to die, adrenaline kicked in and I stepped away and snake made a hissy snakey retreat. So we made our way to the lunch spot, finishing the initial caches planned but shelved the rest of the trek until the colder less snakey months. A really good trail with a nice variety of hides, thank you for your time and effort in placing these caches.
Maintenance - all of the fruit containers we encountered (other than at the bridge and the siding) had perished but the contents were dry and the ziplock bags were doing the trick.
TFTC and series.

Thanks for all the caches Hurtling Posties. What a great walk. Managed to find all the caches along the way. Saw lots of kangaroos, a couple of rabbits; almost stepped on a couple of lizards and was pleased to see neither snakes nor spiders. Enjoyed the peacefulness of this walk. A cache hunt to remember for sure.
I forgot to add at the last one... there is an incredible number of flowering Sundew plants in the vicinity. Very pretty... and fascinating. Was feeling a bit competitive finding this cache... ME FIRST!! Got my hands on it first, but I think Apty might have seen the clues first [:o)] Nearly at 400! TFTC Hurtling Posties

One of our hopes for this visit to South Australia was to complete the Nurragi Walk and, in the process, look for the caches along the way. Family commitments gave us that opportunity today. The weather conditions were ideal - fine, temperature in the low twenties and a very gentle breeze. We really enjoyed the walk with the varied bird life, some wildflowers in bloom, and the variety of plants and trees - the colours and variations in colours of the trunks of some of the trees was superb. The good size caches were very well spaced and all were in well planned and sensible hides. Our GPS units indicated that all coordinates were within the limits of accuracy of the devices.
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a well hidden cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Hurtling Posties for the cache and the series.

Mr C has been eyeing this series off since they were published from back at home in Newcastle, NSW. With today being the coolest day of the holiday break, I got Mrs C to drop me off at the start and I began the walk. I scared some sheep in the paddocks, disrupted some kangaroos, and was lucky enough to not encounter and slithery, scaley things. I found all the caches, some were harder than others but most were easily found. A total of 13 kms walked in close to 4 hours.

Nurragi Walk: What an interesting Conservation Reserve. Our second tilt at the trail. It was out with the trusty-treadlies and we set off in search of a few more caches. We completed the section Nurragi and Sandergrove. It was a little different to the Bellarine Rail Trail in Victoria, in particular, the more ‘cross country sections’. We enjoyed finding, those now familiar SA containers, usually within a few minutes of arriving at each GZ.
Our thanks to TeamHurtle for creating this interesting trail.

Long weekend camping is the way I like to do it. Wonderful weather during the day and only a tad chilly during the night. Was a brilliant achievement to all in the team. Beautiful bird life, kangaroos, bee's, ant's and only one fly. Scratched arms and itchy fingers as some silly plants decided to attack a few of us.
Great work setting out this trail we didn't try and complete this in a day we broke it up in two, I don't think our bodies were meant to do 40,000+ steps in a day without yelling and screaming at us.
Thanks for the trail Hurtle set out nicely and researched

A breezy, showery day. A great sleep at the Milang Motel saw us up and ready to tackle today's challenge: clear up Milang and the Narragi Walk before 5pm. Our normal attack would be to "divide and conquer" each section but with only the phone looks like we are both in for some walking today. Ah well a good day for a brisk walk.

Despite one of us sporting a dodgy knee we could not resist sampling part of this walk. It was a cool sunny afternoon, just right for a very enjoyable walk out and back with the kangaroos and wallabies. Thanks for the effort you have put in along this delightful walk.
Mrs S dropped Mr S off at number 1 and drove to the other end of the series, while Mr S walked the line, collecting all of the caches on the way. Great day for the walk as the weather was very kind. Sat down in the shade here for a few minutes, out of the wind, to catch my breath.
