Another perfect morning to explore Kuitpo today with Hill2Sea and find some caches. We had a lovely day - only marred when I lost my sunnies near a cache. We are hoping to complete this series today after dabbling in it a few weeks ago.Our last cache on this road for today - brought back memories of walking a few kms on it while hiking the Heysen. The feet were burning by this point!
Part of a group of hikers walking the Heysen. Just enough time to find this one
Thanks for the cache, 3LG

Out today targeting a few previous DNF’s, if possible I want to turn some sad blue faces into happy smilies
Also targeting Tree Fishing caches…….I’m currently 43 of 50 for the GC9RQRK SFE Challenge - The Lawrie Keats Challenge
Who knows, might be the odd cache throughout todays journey as well
A quick find, stamp and return here today

After a successful morning doing some of the Animal Fact Series we thought we should try to turn this blue face into a smiley . So it must have been cache blindness before tftc
Found on a bash around Kuitpo forest on the MTB, grabbing the odd cache on the way as well. A quick find and all good here.

TFTC. Having a day out with geokids and crystal1984 in Kuitpo forest.️ no phone service was a little tricky
Today, I headed solo out for a combination of driveby and hiking geocaching, in an attempt to clear some of the Kuitpo area geocaches. It was a splendid day to be outside with a blue sky, sunshine, and freshness, so one didn't get too hot. Christmas Rush Mine was a great area to walk around, and an unexpected sight. Some more walks around Jupiter Creek Forest, before taking a detour past a few Mount Bold Reservoir viewing spots. An enjoyable bakery lunch was had at Meadows, and then I headed south through Prospect Hill, and partially completed a section of the January OTD series before it started going dark. A twisted ankle had me slow down in the late afternoon, but otherwise a nice day out.
This OTD series had been my target today, but after an around about sorta way to arrive, it turned out to be a secondary thought after all. I was delighted to find that all of these geocaches that I had found were in excellent condition; evidence that the CO had been here recently perhaps. I mostly had these back roads to myself, and continued to cache these until the sun started to set, leaving the last remaining seven for another day. I had twisted my ankle on an earlier geocache just before attempting these, which had probably doubled my time with walking back/forth. My geocaching partner did think I was quite stupid in continuing to stay out with my injury, whoopsie.
It was interesting to hear/read about the three earthquakes in such a desolate place. I managed to find this cache quickly, helped by the fact that the cache was rather exposed upon approach! The cache container was in good shape, but the logbook was wet. Thanks 3LG/LiB for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

While staying in the beautiful Mount Compass Caravan Park we opted to try for the OTD January series plus any others nearby. We found 32 and had 3 DNF’s.
We were delighted at the condition and maintenance that has obviously gone in to the caches and thank the CO’s very much for that.
Many thanks 3LG

Got up early this morning and headed south to collect a few caches before an event in mount barker around lunch time. A good morning out with 65 finds in total.

Nice find while in the area with tmann421.
Really enjoying travelling around and discovering more about these areas.
This series was a bit more of a challenge as when we started it was extremely dark

We really enjoyed finding the good containers and visiting the nice locations.
*Another find for us here! SL TFTC*
We love the OTD series, this one was fairly tough as we started it at nearly 9-30pm and it was quite cold and windy in places.
Some caches hadn't been found for a long time and we had trouble finding some so we ended up with 3 DNF's this January trail.

Beautiful day for geocaching in the bush so decided to have a crack at January, our first foray into the OTD's. Most caches popped up quickly but a a couple had me going. Thanks for the caches 3LG.
This was to be our final full day in SA before heading back to Perth tomorrow afternoon . It has been a fantastic caching trip with old mate KrabiBoy and we have been flying through as many caches as we can manage . We targeted Willunga today and then cached our way northeast towards another OTD series [^]. Another rippa day!
I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here . I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Our adventure took us from the CBD over to the Yorke Peninsula and then back across to the Murray Bridge area . We were relentless in chasing down the finds and picked up as many as we could in the week that we had available. Due to the park and grab nature of our visit, the log books which weren't able to accommodate the ink stamp we had made were signed with the initials 'jk'! Fave points will be awarded for those caches which are considered awesome
A massive thanks here to 3LG for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture over to this area. Cheers!
jinta29 found your cache OTD 22.1 January 22nd today. This is my find #8109 and find #110 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again 3LG for placing this and bringing us to this part of the world!

We had a lovely day with Shonkylogic out on the trails in the southern wine area. This was one of the caches that we targetted and were able to find. Thanks to 3LG for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
After completing the October series Liz and Bruce and I headed up here to find most of January. This was slightly more difficult because the coordinates were less accurate due to the tree cover. They took a while to find but looking at the geotrail rather than the GPS often helped. Some of the coordinates were showing 9m from GZ. If you're having trouble broaden your search and look for the trail. Lovely part of South Australia. Thanks 3LG.
Spent a great day caching around Kuitpo on an unseasonably drizzly February day - 21 finds with 8 TB's. Found and signed log.

out for the day with sir_spectre doing the otd trail, some harder than others and hoping the rain stays light
i dragged out jacknor to the forest in the rain, we thought so start the jan otd trail, some harder than others but all the caches found where in good condition.
Such a beautiful autumn day to spend some time in the Kuitpo area and to enjoy another of the OTD series. It's always interesting to read the information and we appreciate your effort to vary the hides. All the caches were found in good condition, although we did have trouble with sat lock in a few spots. Great use of a natural hiding place.
Thanks for the cache and the series!

Out to do some caching in the area with my geodaughter. We started this series today at 12pm. We didn't have any intention of doing all 31 days but by 5pm with a lunch break in Mt Compass in the mix we had completed the series. We had a great day working together to find them all. It is obvious why this series won the best series award. TFTCs
After dealing with a number of routine matters this morning, we had a few hours this afternoon to cache. We chose the OTD January series for our focus. We managed to find all caches in the series, most quite quickly but some took a couple of minutes of hunting. There were a variety of hides. In all instances, the caches and contents were in good condition. Thanks 3LG for this cache and the January series.

Cache # 56 of 60 for this Sunday down south.
The Parrot was on a roll to try and get closer to the 10, 000 mark as this last 500 seems to be taking forever.
I had a great day with Mrs Parrot heading to kuitpo and checking some trails that have been in GSAK for far to log,
I worked on Animal Facts, Are you kidding me and the OTD Jan series.

I think this is the first time we've logged an OTD series cache, but I could be wrong there. Normally we give series like this a wide berth, unless they are designed to walked to. Today though, we thought we'd log a couple on our way home.
This cache was a quick find, and are happy to note the contents are dry and in good condition.
thanks 3LG.

Visited a cousin in Normanville that I haven't seen for nearly 20 years the drive home was a perfect excuse to cache in an area I've never been to before. Stupidly however I didn't load all of January's caches and was missing 5 the rest were found today, not the easiest of series most not drive bys (good!) Thanks 3LG you have zillions of great caches!! Sorry for generic log
Mogni was in town for one of her flying visits. She had allocated today to catch up and do some caching. So far she hadn't done a OTD series so that would be the order of the day and if time some Cats and Dogs. And of course any other that we were just passing. All up 91 finds and only 3 DNFs.[^]
This was the series selected. Lucky my brother had already moved from Tennant Creek when these stuck. Would have only improved the hovel the government found for him to live in. Another find. Thanks 3LG for placing this cache and series

This was my first attempt at any of this series.... out with brisal5 getting my numbers up for the year Thanks for the series.
Glad most of our earthquakes in Aus are remote - must have scared them though.
So this started as a late night Halloween run, but ended up mostly past midnight.
Only ten months since January - better late than never
Despite having Chloe the geopup come along for the ride,
the only things I managed to scare were a few kangaroos, two foxes and some bunnies.
All finds made by torch and moonlight. No ghouls were disturbed at all.

we though we would mix this up a little. We turned this in to what we like to call "speed Caching".
Rules: drive to location. jump out of car and find cache in less than 45 seconds.....
We won some, we lost some but it made for a fun day.

While the elder of the 2 daughters hiking with the Cubs in Kyeema, it was up to the younger Geo daughter and I to go out and collect some caches. We had previously found a few of this series, but wanted to get a few more. We weren't going to have enough time to collect the all, but still a good number today. Only a couple of issues where caches took us a little longer due to tree cover and dodgy Sat lock on the GPSr.

It was decided that we would have a go at the OTD series and we started at 1.1 - where else would you start. Decided to go for this months worth of geocaches today. Most were quickly found but there were a few more difficult ones. All quiet despite the beginning of the school holidays. Interesting history as well. Thanks 3LG.
