Way too good for me had no ideas at GZ didn’t spy anything cachey. TFTH will watch and return another day
Camping at Mt Compass for Easter we headed back towards Willunga and McLaren Vale to try and add some more to our map.

After performing some maintenance on my cache at Willunga Hill and stocking up on some beers from Goodiesons Brewery, I thought that on such a lovely day I should grab a cache and this was the closest unfound.
A little cache guardian was not impressed with the disturbance.
This one might suffer from moisture once the wet months come so it would pay to keep an eye on it, or possibly put the log book in a baggy.

What a nice lil spot, we pulled into the side road as part of our exploring the backroads and stopped to find a cache. We wondered who the famous Truscott was in the area to get a road named after them. Where we are from the locals have all got roads named after them haha.
This unusual and interesting name is of Anglo-Saxon origin, and is a locational surname deriving from one of two places; either Truscott in Cornwall, or Trescott in Staffordshire. The place in Cornwall is in the parish of St. Stephen's by Launceston, and means "the further wood", derived from the Cornish (Celtic) "dres", beyond, and "cuit", wood. The place in Staffordshire has a more obscure origin, but the name is thought to derive from a British (pre-Roman) river name similar to the Welsh "tres", which means "toil, labour", and which is found as a modern river name in the "Test". The second element is the Olde English pre 7th Century "cot, cott", a cottage or shelter for animals, so the name means "the hut by the river". The placename is recorded as "Treseltum" in 985. Amye Truscote was christened in London in 1611, and Anthony Truscott married Susanna Tremayne in January 1688, at St. Stephen in Brannel, Cornwall. The first recorded spelling of the family name is shown to be that of Michael de Trescote, which was dated 1272, witness in the "Assize Court Rolls of Staffordshire", during the reign of King Edward 1, known as "The Hammer of the Scots", 1272 - 1307. Surnames became necessary when governments introduced personal taxation. In England this was known as Poll Tax. Throughout the centuries, surnames in every country have continued to "develop" often leading to astonishing variants of the original spelling.

In Port Elliott today, great day for caching out to get a few near McLaren Vale before the heat hits later this week. TFTC
Keepin an eye on our Scouts who were cycling the Kidman Trail I had the chance to make a few finds with Kapybeara. This was the tenth find of the day. This one took a few minutes to locate. TFTC
Spent about 10 minutes looking for this one with my Geodaughter. We expanded our search because previous finders said that the co-ordinates were out. We might need to get a hint on this one from the CO. Lots of wet grass around after heavy rains. No alpacas today. TFTH anyway. Will be back
Stopped by, also found to be 8-10m out when using the Groundspeak App.

TFTC like others we went to the next one first and came back to this one for a hint
Found while out for a casual day of caching with Dr Owl.

Thanks for the cache crcirpayton.
After an errand down south Owl collected Sushilord for a caching trip. After a pleasant walk to collect some OTD caches and a very nice lunch at the bakery, they decided to wander around McLaren Vale to collect some of the back roads caches. This one took a while before past logs were read and the cache found 12 metres out.
This one took a little bit of searching but once I saw it I knew exactly what it was! TFTC
I started 2020 with some improbable caching goals that only lasted until mid February.
With so few caches within 20 kms of home they are now to just complete the Calendar to have found both a mystery and a multicache on every day. Should be able to do one probably not both. [^]
Today I needed to find a multi cache. But if I am going to have to drive forty or so kilometers to get a multicache I may as well take a circuitous route and pick up a few other caches along the way.
Once again I was having a lot of trouble with this. My GPS thought I was parked on it. Not likely so I tried all the familiar spots. Nada. Then I checked the hint and logs. Okay, so maybe not a small and others think not quite at GZ either. [8)]
So I spread out the search and looked for what I had found at the last cache. Yep there it was, in a cachey spot about 11 metres southeast from where the GPS wanted me to look!
***Thanks crcirpayton for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

It took a while to search. I was so happy when I found it as I did not want to go home with a DNF again….
Remember. There is no cache in the bees. If you think the cache is hidden under the bees you are wrong. Don't look there. Unless you like bees.

After doing a few circles trying to find a “small” cache, I enlisted some help. Shortly after I found the “micro”.
Kept the TB I was going to drop as you can’t fit a TB in a micro.
Thanks for the cache crcirpayton.

I had planned an afternoon visiting McLaren Vale and Willunga to find the caches that have been published since my last visit down this way. [^]
I had tried to find this one first without success noting from previous logs that the coordinates were a bit out. I spent quite a while here, but not knowing what I was looking for I decided to go to the other one and hope I had more luck there. I found that one and now knew what I was looking for, so I came back here and looked in a place I hadn't looked at before and there was the cache just sitting there waiting to be found.
