After much consideration this just wont work in this location due to the destructive natures of the people who know where it is. I plan to put something else in this area which will not be as obvious to passers-by. Sad to see it go.
Two attempts at alternate containers have failed in the shed. A third and final effort will be made in the next month but this one may need to go.
We have just returned from a month away overseas. We have also had to move house so things have been hectic.
We will turn our minds to what we can do about this. We may need to change to a smaller container. Added to the to do list.
We will turn our minds to what we can do about this. We may need to change to a smaller container. Added to the to do list.
We have removed the remnants of the cache containers. So there is nothing to find or do at GZ. Given this is the second time this complex container has been completely ruined and the inner container needlessly destroyed it seems possible the same people were involved each time. Especially as it is not a place one would usually walk past.
Buying more replacement parts and putting it all back may just encourage a destructive repetition.
So we will think about it for a while but it seems most likely that it will have to go. Maybe we can replace it with a different cache and container?

Caught up with Wayne APN for some high terrain caches at North Adelaide today.
Cache has suffered vandalism. CO notified

Sadly I think we will need to archive this one.
This is the second time it has been completely destroyed.
Clearly the location is not secure.

Geocaching weekend in SA with Beardman75 and Karicka.
On the way to the airport we were able to stop quiet a few times for some target caches .
Thanks.

Thanks.
Georode
We eventually found our way in here and quickly found the container. Karicka said he's not very good at this and then immediately opened it. Thanks for the cache
Having a productive geocaching weekend in SA in the good company of Beardman75 and Georode.
Parked and went for a walk. At the coordinates I had first go, this cache was very soon in our hands.
This is my third loop for the long weekend, SA delivers.
Thank you for the hiding, this is what makes the game work!
Happy caching

I felt like getting a metal cutter and slicing the damn lock open! Got there though. TFTC Brad&Janet.
Found it, picked it, accidentally closed the lock after being terrified by a gecko, spent years reopening lock, finally was able to put it back
Great cache.
Easy to follow instructions to locate it.
My lock picking skills are improving. Not as fast as my first cache with a padlock, but it didnt take me long before it was open.
Love this type of field puzzle, adds another dimension to finally getting pen on paper.
Once opened there were 4 geckos looking back up at me.
Tnx for this cache and location. A favorite point given.

Oh and another new D/T square as well.

This cache was located quickly. The surrounding trees helped protect the cache from the strong winds and it was son retrieved. Then came the interesting part. We tried a few different approaches before we had the log in hand and were able to sign it. The cache and contents were in good condition. After reassembling the cache we hoisted it back into position without any hassles. Thanks Brad&Janet for the cache.
We came we lowered (didn’t need our TOTT) and then watched some videos, played with some TOTTs provided, signed the log book and replaced as found.

This find had the added bonus of meeting the cache owner for the first time and getting a tutorial on an important skill required to claim this cache. Thanks for everything, especially the well crafted cache.
We had quite the drama here. We latched onto the cache and were bringing it down when our pole split. That night the cache to the ground quickly.
We then tried to open the cache but couldn't get it opened.
I sent the cache owner a message about what happened and we managed to get the cache up a little bit.
I then got a call from the cache owner who said he would try to come by to help us out.
We went off to do the other nearby cache and met up with the cache owner who walked back here with us to help us out.
It turned out that we had dropped an important tool on the ground without noticing and that was why we couldn't open the lock.
The lock was soon opened and the logbook signed.
The cache was then replaced by the cache owner. Its not as high as it was.

New letterbox in place. Higher to avoid muggles. Please be very careful getting it down as it is metal and quite heavy.

Logging a beta test find after temporary adoption as we work towards setting a new challenge cache for others.
The cache page has been updated. Please read it as the instructions which were on a laminated sheet at GZ are now on the page. Do your homework first!
The replacement is ready and should be in place tomorrow.
The replacement is ready and should be in place tomorrow.
We have nearly collected all the components to replace this one. It should be done within the next month.
Well let me know if I can help in any way with the build components, necessary material modifications or further (specific) tools like I did last time.
Only too happy to help.
Only too happy to help.
What a shame. We’ve been honing our lock-picking skills in readiness for this cache.
Reading this log I am dismayed as one of the last finders that the letterbox that this has fallen into disrepair. I don't think any of us had **** ****** (Owner knows what this is) before, so it was a matter of trial and error until the **** opened for us. I am sure it was about 25 - 30 minutes sitting in the leaf litter playing with this until SSR came up with success.
I am 100% certain we returned this to the correct spot and to the bottom of the branch it was attached to. I feel bad being the last finder on a great cache before there is a problem

We are quite sure it was random non-cachers who found this one and decided to disbelieve the notes on the outside explaining what it was. Perhaps they thought it contained some sort of contraband?
We have recovered most of it and have now purchased a new letterbox to replace the broken one. Plus we do have some replacement tools for the ones that are missing. Maybe some one will find them in the area? Or the original logbook which we could not find. Please let us know if you do.
Hopefully it should be back up and running in the next few days.

Unfortunately this cache is in some distress!!! Arrived at GZ with SpidermonkeysMOm and Jolly0 but couldnt spot the cache up in the trees ............................... then we spotted it!! On the ground and broken into. The lock was still on but the hinge had been destroyed. We could only assume the recent strong winds had brought it down and some muggles had found it! Bits of it were scatteredd about so we collected it up and placed it under some vegetation to disguise it until the CO can get to it!! See pics!! A favourite for the effort that went into this!!
It seems the hint couldn’t be more true
An enjoyable morning adventure with CPwanderer and SpidermonkeysMom.
Big thank you SMM for your assistants with the extra reach
Keep smiling

You know things could go wrong when you wander gz and find a sistema lid on the ground. A reasonably fresh lid too. The majority of the hide was nearby on the ground but piled together near the sign. After things were collated, I found another part on our way out. Added to our collection and hid in case someone stumbled across it. Sad but hopefully it can be resurrected. Thankyou Brad&Janet for a cool hide
This one needed our TOTT and all the ones you provided and took all and more of our combinded skills to be able to sign the log.
Today was a drive round the North area of Adelaide collecting a short list of caches we had hand picked while waiting for this trip come together at long last.
Even with the numbers being down it was great to attend a Mega and at least get to meet some fellow cachers after so long and catch up with a few people, we flew over from Tassie on Thursday and after spending a few days in Adelaide we headed Northeast to clean up some series and then head South to Millicent for the start of the Mega long weekend.
This trip has changed so many times since it was first booked and I'm glad we got to do it at long last, to start with it was just myself and GooseandEgg nipping over for the Mega and then it was a few more days with the addition of 1 toolman, then with lockdown it was back to two of us but then another Tassie cacher in the shape of BudgieTas stepped up to the plate and we were back on for an over a week trip to grab a few caches before the Mega and then finish off with Millicent before flying home on the Tuesday.
Thanks for the cache.

All 3 of us took turns with this one. Yeah we were here a while but we evebtually achieved the objective.
Thanks Brad&Janet, that was a tough one.
The Millicent Mega trip had been a long time in the making, for the Tassie trio of stainless steel rat, budgietas and gooseandegg, due to a couple of false starts thanks to COVID19. More and more caches were added to the extensive list as planning was being finalized. We focused on old caches, large caches, certain D/Ts, virtual caches, the On your Bike series and a few other special ones on our journey. Our route saw us caching in Adelaide for a few days before heading north via Gawler to the Barossa in preparation for the On your Bike series, whilst basing ourselves at a gorgeous cottage in Waikerie. We continued on to Renmark for a night before the long trek south to Millicent.
Some of the many highlights along the way were Gawler Fort Knox, Dustin’s Cache, Barossa High and Riverland (the oldest surviving geocache in South Australia).
At the Mega we caught up with a few of our caching friends, made some new ones, and of course missed many who could not make it this time. The weather was not the best in Millicent, and a COVID19 situation in Mt Gambier altered our plans but we had plenty of caches to keep us busy between showers, including tree climbs, plenty of adventure labs, and the entertaining Finding a Fish series - giving the new pole a good workout for the first time.
Thanks to all the CO’s who have placed and maintained all these caches that made our adventure so memorable.

Found this cache while touring around north of Adelaide, the targets being high D/T caches
Loved this cache, they we quickly becoming a favorite type

Early in 2021 I received an invite from GoosenEgg and Stainless Steel Rat to join them on a caching trip to the Mega in South Australia. As planning got underway some caches with high Favorite points, very old caches, and the On Your Bike Series were listed as "must-dos"
The trip ended up being 10 days of solid and very enjoyable caching with quite a few highlights. The find count for the trip was around the 950 mark when all GCA, Adventure Lab, and GC caches are included. The high point for finds was a day of 335 finds in the one day, which would have been more, but a sudden storm put the end to caching for the day. No one was interested in getting out of the car to find a cache in a downpour in the dark
We were lucky enough to find Gawler Fort Knox, Dustin's Cache, and my favorite for the trip Barossa High (From 21st of January 2001 with the original log book still in place) all in the one day.
Unfortunately, the caching around the mega was beset by bad weather and the day we had put aside for Mount Gambier was scrapped due to a covid case in Mount Gambier on the previous day, so we avoided the area. We all enjoyed the Fishing series and just managed to get the remaining of these before the light failed for the day.
In the end I managed to completed my D/T grid for the first (and possibly the second time) which was my aim for the year, although some of the D/T combinations were not really achievable in Tasmania without a 3 day overnight bush walk.

Down in Adelaide today doing some caching and also to go to the Van Gogh Alive event with the family. 11 cache finds today and a couple DNFs due to muggles.
Unable to reach the gnome cache where we parked, we set off to try out luck with this D5 cache. Arrived at GZ, found a big stick and soon after, had the cache in hand. Played around with the lock for 10mins before hearing the satisfying click open. Signed log and found quite a few geckos inside.
Thanks so much for the challenging and fun cache Brad&Janet, love the work gone into this cache and series. Fav point added, TFTC!

I wish I had found this, but not yet. Mixup with what appears to be duplicate TBs. One is still in this cache
This was FUN!!! Got it open within 30 seconds lol. That's pretty good for first time picking I think. Lots of geckos inside. Even taught dad how to pick a Lock.
Dropped 2 TBs took 1
Today me and my dad ventured off to North Adelaide to do the TOTT series.
Thank you for maintaining and placing this cache!

I had visited this cache not long after it was published. I visited with KTPops after getting the bird down from the tree just east of here. Not long after that I had ordered my own little lock kit, and had practiced during the evenings watching TV. Definitely, some time has since passed.
I wandered over here, and meandered directly to GZ after chatting to the horse owners and their dog. I used the fat sections of my pole which worked well. I sat down preparing for a long haul, and indeed it was. Using the supplied equipment much faffing took place. I reorganised position many times, with the letter box firmly positioned between my legs.
With no success, I resorted to using my own TOTT, I cunningly selected a number 6 from the array of tools, and proceeded to gently work at it, using techniques kindly offered by Google and Lockchick. Nuffin, not working. I resorted to raking and on my third swipe I had success. Now it gets interesting....
I slide out the lock and open the letterbox, to be greeted by a lizard and a hunstman. May I remind you that this is still between my legs while sitting idle on the ground. I am not sure what muscles were used but somehow I managed to separate myself from the ground and be 2 foot from the cache, with the letter box still roughly in the same position.
Signing duties were performed and a TB retrieved, a second lizard found. One lizard out, one in, huntsman in, cache in, lock on and back up the tree safely. Thanks for the cache Brad&Janet, this completes a quadrella of Tottology for me this morning. Super pleased with my work, and yours of course. FP4U

After not reading the instructions correctly, I struggled to find GZ. But eventually hopped over a couple of fences and then found what I was looking for.
I had my TOTT in the car but managed to retrieve the cache with some stuff lying around.
Having recently practiced this art form with a training lock, I set to work and after a few minutes the lock clicked open. A very satisfying click it was too.
A fav point for the fun.
Thanks for the cache Brad&Janet.

Following today’s DNF we visited GZ. The cache was and still is correctly in place. We did some minor repairs to ensure the TOTT container remains attached to the cache. Please replace both the TOTT container and the instruction sheer inside the upper part of the cache. Thank you.

This was on the ground when we approached. Fortunately Mr FF has been researching this hobby of late and was into the cache in no time (after he paid attention to clockwise vs anti clockwise).
Feetlet once again provided helpful encouragement and assistance replacing the cache to, we hope the right place. Said hello to the nearby four legged muggles and cuddled a resident of the cache container.

This cache looked intriguing, so made the walk over to GZ, the local horses very interested in our meanderings .
Used a local tool to retreive the container and our own to open the box [8].
So nice to find a good sized cache in the suburbs (and not a puzzle) [^].
TNLNSL. Stamped our run sheet .
Thanks Brad&Janet.

After a lunch event, locus cache was kind enough to invite me to go and look for some TOTT caches.
It was good to be out after COVID isolation.
Locus cache supplied the retrieval TOTT but it wasn’t required because the letterbox was propped in a small tree near GZ.
I’ve never picked a lock and I was not overly confident I would succeed but with urging from locus cache and instructions from a video on the net and probably a whole lot of luck I eventually heard a surprising click!
Log signed and we discovered a gecko was being a guardian inside the letterbox.
TOTT was utilised to put the box in the correct spot. A small issue occurred with the TOTT getting stuck behind the cable but locus cache suggested a solution of using a big stick and success!
Wonderful cache!

Having seen with interest these types of hides being published and having found a few in Perth earlier in the year I was keen to give it another go. A stop in at Brad's caching supplies and a less than social distancing hello to Ruff_Ruff and MisterQuinn before a couple of TOTT where loaded and Brad and myself headed out in separate cars of course to practise social distancing.
I soon got the hang of things again and worked around the various hides in the area and avoiding the horses. A few tricks and the field puzzle was completed in reasonable time. Logs signed and returned. TFTC

Embarrassed by my feeble attempt at opening the mailbox the last time I was here in March (Csaba! was the master locksmith on that occasion), I returned today to erase my shame and had it open within a few minutes. I can hold my head up a little higher now.
And we’re back! After a hiatus of 46 days and with our last cache back in Buenos Aires on the day before total lockdown was announced, I was jumping out of my skin to get back ‘out there’ again.
I was joined today by Brad&Janet who was also very keen to clock up some new finds.
After successfully navigating TOTT#1, there was just a little time left for one more TOTT cache. I have been waiting for a 5/4 cache in Adelaide for over 18 months now to finally finish my 10th D/T loop, so I was keen to give this one a crack.
My lockpicking skills were very poor to say the least and with more than 6 weeks since the last find, the lock was pretty tight. B&J was a good mentor though and eventually I was able to get the pins in position to open the lock to gain access to the prized log book, finally achieving my milestone.
Tftc lesson and cache B&J!

Well today I got to do a a cache I would never do.
Thank fully I was in the company of B&J so I got to try this one out.
I was pretty good at it as well but I think I prefer to stay on the other side of the bars.
I can see a lot of effort was put into this one and I am glad I will be able to say I at least tried one.
A very interesting experience.

This series was fantastic fun. Sometimes I helped, sometimes I watched. Wish I was much taller. Tra La Laaa
I had a great morning out with Malco!, Csaba! and SupaOrange. Being the shortest member of the team I was not very useful. Always fun to visit new places. Turtle Out
Came to GZ thinking I was all prepared. I was half right. Between Malco! and I we thought we had most things covered. First Malco! had a go. Then I had a go. SupaOrange wanted a go. Eventually I was the lucky one using Malco!'s own TOTT. Thanks for the FUN....
Thank you to the person who kindly provided the seat. We had plenty of tools to choose from (since I brought my own). Csaba! had the skill for this one. Much fun was had.
Thanks for the cache, Brad&Janet.
Thanks for the cache, Brad&Janet.
I had been to look at a couple of these TOTT caches soon after they were published, and I could see them but just didn't have the right TOTT.
Today accompanied by gridge98 and the CO's TOTT that he kindly let us borrow we headed off to find the cache.
The cache was retrieved with the borrowed TOTT, then came the time consuming part, but eventually after manipulating in just the right way the cache was opened and the logbook revealed. I was happy to stamp the log, then do everything in reverse and the cache was replaced as found.
This cache was also the required D/T that I needed for my 3rd loop, so a fav for that and the cache. [^]

The usual day our with a Rat and a Starfish. The plan was to meet the third member in North Adelaide who had the appropriate TOTT specially acquired for this series, the targets for the day. The fun then began. The balancing act and careful manipulation of the tool to get it just in the right position. Retrieved and now to get to the log. We had encountered one just like this before however we were advised that there was a special way to do this. The Rat attempted the task with no success. The Starfish then tried (he had been successful before) but not this time. The Adder next trying it a different way. using the given tools differently and soon had access to the log book. (Maybe I should take this up for a living?)

The Adder picked up the Rat for Wednesday wanderings.
The plan was to meet up with the starfish.
We strolled over to this one to check out the mail.
No trouble getting this one down.
Took a while to unlock the lock.
The Adder tried something different and the lock opened.
We had some curious horses watching us.
Stamped the logbook. Then the fun started getting the letterbox back to it's position.
A Fav point. TFTC

Due to the current world situation (Covid-19 & social distancing/isolation) I'm using this "Stay Home" time to catch up on my back log of unlogged finds.
Today I was in the company of locus cache & earthlight and this was our next target cache.
The retrieval was heavier than expected... having not all that long ago completed #01.
Kaye tried, I tried, Kaye tried again, I tried again and finally Liz gave it a crack... she opened it... not once but twice. Liz seems to have the knack... it really didn't take her much time at all!
A cute gecko was found to be living inside. Guessing it probably has concussion or at least a headache from the drop ????

Called past to locate the cache with e.gregory1 for a letterbox cache find on a leap year day. After a heads up by someone in the know on how to pick a lock, e.gregory1 had deftly unlocked the container in seconds. Thanks for the cache Brad&Janet!
Found with FeatherWaite today as we sought out a variety of cache types for Leap Day.
After seeing the rapid proliferation of these types of hides on my most recent visits to Western Australia, I had wondered how long it would be before we started seeing the idea being replicated here in SA.
But this one also has a second twist, and one that had previously foiled us a couple of years ago at a different cache some kilometres away.
It didn’t take long to sort out the first challenge with the aid of an improvised TOTT. And then we surprised ourselves, getting through the second part of the challenge within a minute or so using the tools suppled.
After signing the logbook and replacing the cache, it was off to find the remaining cache in this series before heading home for some lunch.
Thanks Brad&Janet for the cache.

Found at 15:56. I used one of the local resources for retrieval rather than the one B&J were offering. The second part had me fumbling about for quite some time. Long enough for B to show me how it's done. After signing the log book, I had another go, and had it sorted out in no time.
Out of the 4 new TOTT hides here in this park, this one to me was the most realistic chance i have of getting any of them lol
I had a wander by last Friday at about 11:30 and saw this one and the Gnome one nearby before heading off to watch some Superloop ADL500 practice action [^]
Today, the 27th of Feb i moved in for a go at this one. No Muggles watching or even present unless you count the curious horses Ascending to this one was no problem but wasn't necessary due to 'other objects' handy nearby. Cache obtained and i began my luck with the lock. Knowing was what was needing to be done i already had keys of my own
Gaining access to the lock was tough going for me at first with my keys so that was deemed and Epic Fail lol.
Using the proved tools? Success!
It was done in about 15 minutes, very chuffed indeed [^]
As i opened the cache container within to get to the logbook i noticed a Police Car within [Swag] then threw my arms up and said "Ok.... you got me" Don't bother cuffing me i'm likely to pick my way outta that too ha ha

CO please delete if TMI ... it’s a picture (shameless company plug .... see what I did there? Plug? Nevermind it’s a locksmith term)
this picture illustrates just how to position one of the TOTTs so the other TOTT has the best chance of being effective. And one needs to apply Just enough tension so as to simulate how much torsion would be applied when actually was turning a key.

A walk through the park and I made my way to the GZ on this one whilst Brisal5 drove the car from the other side. We met up and looked up. Ah nice big cache there! Our TOTT just about managed to retrieve the same and we set about opening the cache. After a few minutes, we resorted to using a YouTube video, and realised where we were going wrong... it still took us all up about 20 minutes, but we persisted and managed to get the cache open, stamp and log out names in. A little precarious manouvers and we had the cache back into position for the next finder. TFTC
I started 2020 with some improbable caching goals that only lasted until mid February.
With so few caches within 20 kms of home they are now to just complete the Calendar to have found both a mystery and a multicache on every day. Should be able to do one probably not both. [^]
Today I needed to find a multicache. But Nurseyjulie was in town for the fruit loops 500 and as usual had the day to cache until boarding a flight later in the day. [^] How about we do a series she suggested. I had both the TOTT series and the Anna Tommy series to collect and so an ambitious day to do both was hatched. Firesafe and Anymules were late scratching's due to too much partying at the racetrack me thinks.
Our third of the series in the park lands today. This was a bit easier to get down but that as it turned out was the easy part. [^] We fiddled for a good twenty minutes before we watched a video explaining what we should have been doing. That done - twenty seconds later the cache was open and we were able to sign the log. Easy when you know how
And the CO even provides a chair to sit on and ponder the intricacies of this cache. FP from me.
***Thanks Brad&Janet for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

I joined Rod81w to find 4 of the TOTT caches. This one was the last one we attempted. The cache was easily found but then the challenge started. I took a seat and had a try but with no luck. Rod did a bit of research and then had a try. After a little bit of a fiddle he had solved the problem. It was a bit of a surprise to do it so quickly because I thought we would be there for awhile. Log signed and cache put back this was the finish of a great time walking around this area doing the 4 TOTT caches. TFTC Brad&Janet

It can either be really hard or really easy. A second attempt after work tonight had all the pins in the right location. The barrel turned nicely and a massive sigh of relief was heard. A fun cache. TFTC
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Bgmat tried this one the other day when it was disabled and like many others had no luck in opening the lock. Even with several keys that fitted the pattern and using some special techniques, nothing was working and was also out of time. So the attempt was abandoned. Then back in the office it was found that the cache was disabled. Luckily I had memorised the instructions and the location of GZ was easily found while I was there.
This morning, now the cache is back online, another attempt was planned. Detoured on the way to the office and parked nearby and wandered straight to GZ. Once again used the natural TOTT to get the container down and sat in the comfortable chair. Noticed that it was a different lock to the last attempt. Once again, by bgmat immediately pulled out genuine TOTT and one of the keys on the massive keyring that is carried opened the lock. Gotta love that. No picking required, YAY. Log stamped and then everything reassembled and replaced. No sign of the cache guardians.
Yet another fave for this one.

I have been watching this cache for the ensuing finder logs after donating time and a bit of kit for a necessary hardware upgrade (done with a certain Frog and at the CO’s request) after my initial visit was a memorable “joint FTF” (a generous name sake afforded me by other cachers that night) when I was PAFed as as a “human TOTT”.
Of course the team standing at GZ finally (somehow....!) managed success with it before I arrived.
I don’t do ladders so they all had to stand around and wait for me to also wrestle with the Chinesium hardware which they’d re-secured despite having opened it for themselves and bloody hell! It all took waaaaay too long for me to conquer what should have been a 10 second walk in my park considering I do it for a living!
Anyway it’s been a cute and fun experience, being part cache and part locksmith call out at the time!
I have a new name too, The Human TOTT. It’s actually ... awkward at first but now I like it the more I read it aloud! Haha
I met several people I had only names for previously so I consider this a good outcome for all *cheesy grin*
I am so happy to see these ensuing finder logs indicating the upgraded hardware is suitable.
My little locksmithy job is done here *wanders off contentedly*

Thanks again to lockchick (and Freddo) for helping to make this one better fit our original intent.
Which always was for this one to be fun for people to do
You may need a ladder or one of the new TOTTs or a tree climber or an improvised TOTT from nearby “stuff” to get your hands on the letterbox.
And then some patience or some luck using the TOTTs provided (or even one of your own if you are lucky).
And there is a chair at GZ so you should be comfy.
Please contact us if there are issues.
Enjoy

Mr Tardis was out with AnyMules for some after work caching. I got the cache down to ground level, but it was AnyMules talent that got us access to the logbook.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Brad&Janet.
PS: Sorry for the late log. One advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic is an opportunity to catch up on logging finds rather than being out geocaching.

Came out here after work to have a crack at this one... alas it took over an hour to shake off the gridlock coming from Wakefield St!
Used the projection, and soon spied the cache, retrieved easy enough, then fun begun...
Must've just missed the Mule and Tardis...
Anyways, a bit of this and a bit of that, and before I knew it I was signing the logbook in tin place.
That completes my 15th loop.

Now for the fun going south again, may need to make an expected detour!

All good to go again. Thanks to lockchick and Freddo for helping to get the field puzzle component slightly modified.
This one needs a bit of modification. So we will disable it until this can be done. This may take a couple of days. Thanks for your patience.
All I can say is I can’t believe I tried for so long. That’s false confidence in my own abilities. We will be back.
We had just had success at the Kookaburra so we wandered over and tried to play postman. Some quick calculations and very soon we had GZ.
Very soon after that we had the cache container in hand. Impressive.
But that's when the fun started.
Both H423L and I have done this before and were both fighting over the supplied TOTT.
But it all soon went pear shaped. Let me try could be heard half a dozen times.
After about an hour of swapping TOTTs, we both threw in the towel. I think we could have been there another hour and no cache log to sign would have been the result.
I don't know but I think this is a 7 star as it currently stands. Too good for us.
Clear skies, Astro.
(by the way we found the cache and could see the log book but could not sign it, hence a note I think is fair, not a DNF.
I arrived with nothing. Your notes said that everything was supplied.
Cache retrieved and instructions glanced at. I know this stuff. I have a certain skill set that is illegal in twenty US states and European countries.
Sat down in the comfortable chair. Concentrated on the task and found as usual a certain sphincter was released.
Did my business and watched a horse or too. When you gotta go. No Melbourne Cup winners here.
Comfortable chair. Afternoon. Time for a nap.
Fiddled with the lock for ten minutes. Nothing much happening. Being a lefty I was going anti clock wise.
Why would I do that? It is lefty thing.
Started going clock wise.
Right tightly. Lefty loosely.
Fifteen seconds later the lock went plink and the cache was mine.

Two gheckos had taken up residence in the outer container. Their names were John and Sarah. They were hoping to start a small family. At least if there are gheckos in residence there are unlikely to be spiders.
Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.
Easter 2020 sees South Australia Geocaching hosting the next Easter big MEGA event, GeoVenture 2020 at Millicent. GC82DAN. Check out the event page and our website. We would love to see you at this four day event. Sponsored by Wattle Range Council, Geocaching.com and many other supporters. Lots of caches to find including two classic art work trails.
This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...

*FTF* First to Find joint with [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY), Lockchick, locus cache, and ttrogg at 2049 hr.
This evening, I teamed up with [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) to find a few more geocaches in Belair National Park. We each had been here a few times before finding caches, but hadn't explored some of the more further away locations from the front gate, so those were targeted, in particular a few harder Zytheran puzzles that were more adventures than anything. A few sections were targeted, and once the light began to fade, we disappeared before the front gate was locked, and made our way into the city to attempt a FTF. It turned out that we were not first, but the field puzzle was still underway, that we were allowed to join for a five way tie. A fun Valentine's Day evening out and about.
We left Belair, and [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) had the bright idea that this TOTT cache still hadn't been found, and with my ladder strapped to the roof, we should make a run for the FTF. So we drove back into the city, passing all the romantics dining around the place, and Fringe garden festivities. We arrived nearby, and made the jog towards GZ only to see a few others with flashlights and voices ahead of us. It turned out that we were too slow to arrive to be the first to find the cache, but yet this field puzzle had slowed them immensely. ttrogg managed to complete the puzzle after numerous YouTube educational videos, and I wanted a go, so the field puzzle was reset, but I struggled big time. I got the hang of it, and I think within another 30 min, I probably would have solved it, but it felt like the cheap lock was having some wear issues.
Lockchick arrived, and we were convinced that this would be a quick exercise at the field puzzle, so we can finalise signing the log, and putting all the contents away. However, even with Lockchick's expertise, she struggled, and she had her own TOTTs to complete this one! Her comments were if she had a lock like this, her time was more valuable to cut it, then persevere with this type of field puzzle. We discussed replacing the field puzzle with a more quality product, but after what seemed like another 20-30 min, the field puzzle was completed, hurrah (it was well after my dinner time at this point, as I had survived on Belair blackberries earlier). TBs were sighted, and then everything was placed back where it came from. An interesting geocache indeed, and I'm sure glad to have had the group attack this one together. A Favourite Point from me for the interesting and different adventure. Thanks [@Brad&Janet](http://coord.info/PR8T99X) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance efforts!

Genki Sushi Bar in Gouger St[^] was where muggle partner and I met at 4.30pm to have tea on Valentine's Day [^]
6pm and we were still sitting there and I'd been messaging ttrog about my driving to his place after tea to pick up a new TOTT and maybe both of us coming back into town to find some caches[^]
When another TOTT cache was published, that all changed to 'meet you at WP2 at 7pm and bring my TOTT please'
It took me a tad longer to have coffee and say goodbye to muggle partner than expected and so Rex and I arrived at the start coords just a bit after ttrog, then we headed down to GZ together [^]
Getting the cache was a moment's work however then the fun started
That chair was quite comfortable for an extended stay, too. Thank you
Apparently watching 2 horses enjoying kisses[:X] and sharing treats (1 literally picked up something in its mouth and held it out to its friend and then both nibbled at it together) as they enjoyed Valentine's Day cuddles over the gate separating them is NOT what ttrog likes to see but geez, I loved it: they were so cute![:X]
I managed a couple of pats too in between sharing duties with ttrog, who was threatening to leave while I was threatening to stay all bloody night!
Some TOTTs are carried around in your pocket on a daily basis[^] and other TOTTs are called upon by PAFing when needed[^]
We used both tonight and watched[?], listened[^] and rang
You know that geocaching stereotype where you make the PAF and literally then make the find just as they answer[?]
5 minutes after the PAF was made, ttrog earned us access to the log book! [^]
We decided to wait until the human TOTT arrived to share FTF with her[^] and so we started to walk to the meeting spot with the log book in our hands for safe keeping
In the now darkness, 2 torches approached and then a male voice called out: apparently ttrog is now 'Greg'
Davidwazza and gridge98 had arrived before the expected TOTT and so back to GZ we returned and then they both took turns at accessing the log book
Hmmm, was it really this hard to start with[?][?]
In good time the master (or is that mistress[?]) TOTT arrived and there ensured lengthy conversation[^], education[^] and displays of skills that I had never used before
I also learned a new word: Chinaism
Finally, 2 hours or more after arriving at the cache[?] it had been returned to its spot[^], we wandered back to the cars and then ttrog left[|)] while Lockchick and I discussed caches for a while before leaving[|)]
Nothing like a 5 way FTF event
Woohoo! *FTF* with ttrog, Lockchick, Davidwazza and gridge98

{FTF} with locus cache, Lockchick, Davidwazza and gridge98 at 2049 [^][^][^][^]
Had recently received a new TOTT and was wanting to try it out so when this one came out it seemed like a good idea to head into town and meet up with locus to see what we could find. And then see what we could do with what we found.
The new TOTT worked a treat but that was the end of the smooth sailing. Before my frustration got the worst of me it was decided to try an organic TOTT. So a call was made, and responded to in the affirmative. So of course, soon after I managed to broach the final barrier.
Eventually it was a five way FTF with the organic TOTT being a big help in getting cache ready for the next searchers.
Thanks Brad&Janet for an interesting cache
