Well there was an event I saw published in Bordertown hosted by Roaming Howie and since I was able to have 4 days off I decided to head over to attend the event and then to also do a few of the On Ya Bike series to finish off my D/T loop.
Throw a few oldies into the mix for my Ausmer grid and it was going to be a busy weekend with lots of Km’s.
So after attending the event, finding the ones required on the OYB series, surviving the heat then wind and having a good nights sleep last night today is a new day.
After checking my map I realised I had missed a challenge series yesterday so I came back up this way to find those ones.
I’m now heading back in the right direction with a few hours delay.
Collecting caches that I come past as I have a bit more time on my hands today.
A nicer day today with the heat turned down a bit.
This is one of the caches that I had targeted on this trip as I needed it for my Ausmer grid.
A very interesting name for the road and I still think that they are waiting for their town 18 years later.

Big things are continuing to happen! Are you joining the fun again in 2023?

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. This is the second 1/1 we have found today, I seriously doubt that a wheelchair bound cacher could get to either of them.

We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs & wine. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.

Today was a hideously early start for a Sunday. But after seeing my footie team had won overnight spurred me into action.
I was at Morphett Vale by 6.30 and we were off to Wellington to meet the rest of the JAMS crew. We were a little bit early so we started off with one cache in Wellington.
Then we piled into Sir Spectres 4WD, we were crammed in like sardines and then headed over on the ferry for an action filled day of ‘out of the way’ caches that just never seem to be ticked off.
Then back to Wellington and towards Langhorne Creek for some old roads before splitting up and heading back home.
Just one more in Strath and then in Onkaparinga River Park before finally making it back home.
I was laughing so hard at one 4WD stretch that I couldn’t speak, it was a hell of a ride.
Fun day out.
This one has always been just a little too far to detour to on my hundreds of trips between Naracoorte and Adelaide. Grateful to finally have off the map. TFTC

A day finding caches with the JAMS Crew( Sir Spectre, mogni, JJ52 and Michells&hound). Plenty of 4x4 driving and bouncing around in the back seat. A real fun day. TFTC Skippy

15 years after the cache was placed and still no town here. quick find.
The full quota of JAMS crew ( jj52, allister w, Mongi, Michells&hound, plus myself ) where out for a drive today. The Wellington ferry is the location we meet and then we combined in to my 4 x 4 for the rest of the morning and the start of the afternoon. We headed off to Malinong then took a 4 x 4 short cut to some more caches and followed a geocachers path to Meningie then to Narrung, where i question if the Kartoo Road is really a 4 x4 track or just high clearance for the sandy patches ,and back to the Wellington Ferry and Allisters car. Two cars then headed to get some caches that where missed on the JLWE at Langhorne Creek. Again the crew jumped in my car at times since some of those used to be a road you just need a 4 x4 or it's a walk to the cache. A fun day out was had by all, even though at times it was a bumpy ride. Always good to get those out of the way caches off the map.

06-Mar-22
Another JAMS day was organised and after a very early start we all met at the Wellington ferry where we all squished into sir_spectres 4X4 to go and find some out of the way caches that you just don't get to. We started off at Malinong then headed to Meningie via a round about route, then to Narrung and back to Wellington where we separated into 2 cars again and ended the day finding a few Roads that never were around Langhorne Creek before heading home. A fun day was had with lots of laughs and plenty of excitement driving a few sandy tracks. [^]

This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to the Coorong for a night camping. We first stopped off at Nairne via Littlehampton, and then travelled past Salt Creek to cross into the Coorong. We camped at Tea Tree Campground, and on Sunday we travelled back via 42 Mile Crossing and Kingston SE, visiting Jip Jip Conservation Park and Coonalpyn.

Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I continued our adventure along the Coorong with a beach visit, and then departed via 42 Mile Crossing. We did a loop of the vicinity by stopping off at Kingston SE, followed by Jip Jip Conservation Park. We then made our way back to the main highway, making a brief stop in Keith, and then arriving just in time for the Coonalpyn waffles event. We then returned home via Meningie and Swanport Wetlands.

This had a funny street name! This turned out to be a quick find, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks xxx for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Our last day before leaving Meningie in the morning after a very pleasant week here. Decided to have a run to Coonalpyn grabbing any caches we could on the way

We found the shattered container with the cache contents scattered roundabouts. We replaced the container, put the least used log book in a ziplock bag, added a couple of bits of swag, CITO’d the trashed container and old log book and rehid under the camo. Should be good to go for a while again.

Many thanks for the hide Skippy.

I set myself two caching goals at the start of this year.
1) Reduce the number of days in my calendar that I hadn't found a mystery cache to satisfy a challenge cache. Razz
2) Complete my calendar so that I had a minimum of 5 cache finds per day. Razz Tick - done.Big Grin

Then half way through the year I heard a whisper about another challenge cache in the pipeline that required a Multi cache on every calendar day. At that time still needed 129 days so 3) reduce those days became yet another goal. Razz

Then Groundspeak wanted to start a streak at the end of August to get a souvenir. So I did. Surprised And I am still on that streak so I guess I now need to achieve 4) goals.

Today I needed a multi cache to find, and in doing so, continue the streak. Surprised I also needed to take the in-laws car down to Naracoorte for a service, so on the way back I detoured a little to find a few caches. - As you do. Cool

The detour took me along this road which today was neither cold not wet. Surprised It was a gorgeous 25 degrees and the lizards (five) and snakes (two) were out on the roads getting warm. Twisted So I made sure to tread heavily and slowly when I got out of the car to find the cache. Luckily it was a quick find but the container has succumbed to the sun, has UV cancer and is brittle and cracked. Twisted Logbook was fine and dry though as I stamped it. Smile

A nice day to be outside with friends and caching together.

Some logs are stamped "Fabulous Randoms", others our names are handwritten.

Thank you for placing this cache.

What cool names these roads have.

Our group found this cache in good condition. I have driven past this cache for the last couple of years and not turned off the highway to grab it, so I am thrilled to knock that one off my list.

Please note: generally we stamped the log as "Fabulous Randoms", however some logs we have written our caching names.

What a great 'long' weekend travelling to St Arnaud from Adelaide for the wonderful annual festivities. I cached with many awesome cachers including Feathertop, micaparamedic, Locus Cache, Muzza, Sharkie Fan, BushFire and of course TheDame. I also socialised with many others.....gosh I love Victoria!

Found with FUF009.

Intriguing road name. We had to come look!

Based in Meningie last night we were heading home the long way.
This weekend's mission was to get to 10,000 finds.
Initially the plans were to do the ROTF series, but a combination of not realizing that I was so close to 10,000, plus not wanting it to be a boring power trail cache for my big number AND the trail was on such a bad road with awfully incorrect hints and coords, so we abandoned the original plan at about 3pm and concentrated on just seeing the sights and finding what was along the way. It was much more fun.

The end of the weekend had me at 10,010 finds and quite pleased with the rest of my weekend.
I had found 5 types of geocache (trad, multi, mystery, letterbox and Earthcache) and seen some amazing wildlife and scenery. Basically the ideal caching trip.

Headed over the border into South Australia for a June Long Weekend caching trip to Meningie. To hit the ROTF trail (but we abandoned that after only 96 finds on it) Oh and to help sharkiefan make it to the big 10,000th smiley.

This cache was one I needed to fill an empty month in my Jasma. we also had a laugh when we noticed that the road was also called "Cold and Wet"

It wasn't cold here today, more like mild to borderline balmy. It wasn't wet either, although there was a slight mist of rain from time to time. Did we come at the wrong time of year?

The cache was found without too much fuss, but the container will need replacing much sooner rather than later. The Sistema is very brittle, and the lid is disintegrating to the point that its nearly totally smashed. I returned the container upside down to protect it from the wet...and cold.

Thanks Skippy.

Found this cache during the Coonalpyn Event held as part of the Coonalpyn Centenary celebrations.

One of the legs of the Coonalpyn Event multi-cache took us just past here to the Gold Escort Route marker just down the road.

As we drove down the road looking for the Gold Escort monument I saw that this co-ord came up very close so after recording the information required from the monument for the Coonalpyn event multi we came back to this spot. I found the cache quickly and easily.

I used to travel this road a lot during the 1980's when we lived in Coonaplyn and were mallee stump picking on a property down the road and bringing the stumps back into the Coonalpyn railhead.

Signed the log.
