Hunted around up and down after scaring off the local graffiti artists. Phoned a previous finder and the owner but came up empty handed.
After some time searching numerous areas the 4 of us came up empty handed. The last find was before the big rains a couple of weeks back, so we wonder if its been washed out or washed away. We could see how high the water rose with all the logs, sticks & debris still clearly visiable.
This took me a while to find but after thinking about previous cacher logs I did eventually find something that got my signature on it,put back where I found it,tftc
A great cache in a big day caching with Team Waldon. Lots of fun today! Team Waldron is probably going to write in his log that he found the cache where I had looked previously, but I prefer the story that you hid the cache so well that it was extremely difficult to find, and he was, well, lucky!. Well, thats my story!
[On the way home, and baby Geo wanted a feed - so junior pirate and myself stopped to look for the treasure. Our iPhones had us up the top in the middle of the bridge, so manual sleuthing was in order. We were going to give up, until we gave it the last "where would I hide it" approach, and found in less than a minute (after 10 minutes of searching). ]
The cache container has lost it's lid (in the hole???), so a new eclipse container is needed.
[Junior pirate SL (a little too large - sorry, she's only 4) - TFTC and yet another thing that I didn't know about that is close to home]

We are about to move out near here and thought this would be a good place to hide a cache but we were beaten to it. T.F.T.C.
Rocked up to the bridge and wandered out onto it and saw some muggle teens below. Wondered how to get to GZ without them seeing when one of them went to the hiding spot, pulled out the cache and showed the others. They were actually pretty good as they were going to put it back but we managed to sign the log before they did. We asked the guy who grabbed it if he was a cacher and he said no, he had just learned about geocaching from school.
An interesting experience.

Finally after a couple of days searching we found it. Good spot. I think that the container needs replacing and needs a pencil or something to write with. TFTC SL

This was our best cache for the day.
Loved the old bridge and found after a few minutes searching .
Stayed and had a coffee near river,A shame their was no table to sit at.
For a heritage sight it was sadly in need of attention.

310. Was taking too long and we wanted to see if we could do 100 in a day. Sorry that we didn't give your cache the time it deserved.
Took us about 15 mins. J found this one. H still wants to beat him and find next one.
Our second find today.
Our second find today.
Second attempt at doing this one today, thought I had loaded the coordinates into my gps but realised I hadnt - didnt matter though, I spent so much time here last time fossiking around that I new where GZ was and today we came up trumps. TFTC
What an awesome old bridge. We had to search a bit for the cache & then suddenly we had an AH HA moment, and there it was.

I spent a fair bit of time searching for this one and came up with my second DNF for Angle Vale - Oh well another time another day......
Found after a brief search. I saw this spot one day driving past and would have placed a cache if not for this one being here already. Good spot. TFTC
Thanks to good coordinates and a bit of good fortune I found this one very quickly, which left me more time to admire that bridge - it is quite impressive stone and timber work.
Found it after ten mins of my iPhone sending me in big circles under over and around the bridge. Too many obstructions for the poor thing to work how it should but found in the end! No pencil on me, or in cache, so left alone after my victory raise-in-the-air tftc!!
Just as well its school holidays or getting to this one would have been hard work at 3pm. But found without too much trouble, plenty of bugs guarding the cache. Despite the recent heavy rain, cache was as dry as a desert mans lips! Cheers!!
So close to giving up on this one.
The car from the house nearby pulled out of their driveway to watch us for a bit, opened their door as if to see what we were doing and all these excuses jumped into my head for what I am doing.....luckily they drove off a little suspisious.
Finally found the cache and quickly left. Thanks for the hide though a nice little spot I didnt know about.

Nearlly gave up on this one, some cars driving past did look twice, so once found made ourselves "disappear". Clever hide, TFTC
Went straight for the obvious spot, and wasted time there. Need to trust my GPS more. TFTC.
A lovely old structure, and an easy drive by cache. Found during the walenators caching SMASHEX of Western Victoria and the Yorke Peninsular SA. TFTH...SL....TNLN
Found by Gawler Trawlers on a lovely New Year Day out. I think the reason a few hadn't found it recently due to it being out in the open probably from a mowing/slashing of the grass and plants nearby. It was a little way from where it was supposed to be and the tin is a little rusty from being wet. Logged find and hid it again. Hopefully this time it will stay hidden.

Found the Location - didn't find the Cache, but was fun exploring around the bridge anyway
What an amazing test of time and engineering! Thanks for bringing to it. Without caching I would never have found it.
We really enjoyed this location but obviously didn't take a lot of notice when we first pulled in, it was only after we had found the cache, replaced the wet log and were sitting down enjoying lunch that we saw that the span of this bridge was made completley out of wood. They certainly were craftsmen back in the early days
Thanks Robtas for the cache and for bringing us here

The GPS wouldn't settle but finally found it. The log is in very poor condition and really should be replaced.

Out for a little St. Patty's night-time caching...easy find. Yes, log book needs a little TLC. TFTC & Cheers!
Second attempt as the first one was at about 2300HRS a few nights ago, torch went flat so had another go today. Logbook is a little soaked. TFTC
Found with mouse 1. finally after two previous attempts and then didn't even turn the gps on
Another attempt at this cache and this time we seen what we were doing wrong thanks to some pointers from goingtheredoingthat. TFTC
Found after some gentle nudging from goingtheredoingthat after lunch At the Cumbi event..... TFTC
Visited again with Dazzatron and Margieh on the way home from the Christmas Lunch event.
Despite trolling around for over an hour (on two separate occasions) still came up empty handed. We checked and checked the GPS and kept getting a similar spot as GZ; I am starting to get a bit disheartened with looking, looking looking and not finding.
Saw where the post was hacksawed though, nasty!
Will return another day.

Found by Swampy. Thanks to all the cachers that placed caches I found during this "Fly-in, cache, reunion, cache, fly-out" trip.

Had looked for this one in 2006 and this time followed the gps and had success!. The sad part was that on reversing out, the car cleaned up a post and got stuck on top of the post. After a half hour of hack saw work managed to get free with only a few thousand dollars worth of damage to the rear of the car. At least we won't need to return. TFT Adventure
Time against us but couldn't put a finger on it..... Will try again on another trip through this area TFTC
A very nice spot and a nicely tucked away cache! Unfortunately the damp has crept into its hidey hole and the paper is pretty soggy... we couldn't record our visit for fear of ripping damaging the log.

Quick, easy find on the way to Adelaide no matter what angle you look at it. Log was extremely soggy, so was unwritable. TFTC
Found cache after having a wonder around. What a beautiful spot. Cache was found to be very damp, but can't complain with the rain. Thanks for a great cache.
Rocky Glen Groms made this the last one for today - only had a couple of hours to spare and Grom 2 found easily. Nice spot - wish we had the camera with us but we didn't - will have to come back again.
Easy find in the rain. The weather was more like robtas would get down in Tasmania today, cold and wet.
The logbook on this is very damp and I had no suitable replacement with me, so could maybe do with replacing. Perfect excuse to visit the family again??

Thought we would do this one while having a look around Angle Vale. A lovely spot and an easy find.
Log was a bit soggy. I had to go so couldn't stay and dry out sorry. Love this place - no water in river today but I've seen it nearly to the bottom of the bridge.
This was my nemesis cache, I've visited this spot four times in the past couple of years, but today for some reason I walked up to it and found it in a matter of seconds. Glad to finally cross it off the list. Thanks Robtas.
Found the cache at 2pm. Nice easy walk along to the cache and love the old bridge. SL. Thanks robtas for organising the cache and hunt.
Nice easy find - the GPS was spot on, and looking from the right angle I spotted where the cache would be. TNLN.
Thanks Robtas!
Thanks Robtas!
Walked straight up to this one ... Gotta love it when that happens... The old bridge reminded me of being a little kid on a jetty and being scared of falling down the gaps

27/12/07 9.39am Team:A Day 57 of our big November Challenge
Found, but the lid was open and had to shake out the bugs, replaced container, had a hunt in the car and came up with one almost the same, just a different flaovur logs was a bit tatty but still was able to sign, did not have anything to replace it with. The Bridge was nice to stop and look at so thanks for bringing us to this spot.

This spot looked very familiar - did there used to be another cache here that predated this one and went missing? Anyway, the GPS had me in a slightly different spot than what I remembered (not that I could find the last one from memory) and had it after a short hunt. TNLNSL, thanks robtas.
Found even with dodgy sat lock. Log was damp, could only read previous three visits, but didn't have any paper handy. No water in the river. TFTC
Found it, a bit higher that were we thought it might be. I explained to my daughter that I used to travel past here twice a day as a kid and she asked if it was on the old bridge. Grrrr, it was old even then!
Love these old bridges! Found cache easily, though it wasn't white? New container maybe? TNLN TFTC
I'd forgotten this great old bridge was here. It is a real work of craftsmanship
The micro cache was more of a crafty work though. Eventually I got the right angle

Found cache wrote in log. Interesting, had me walking in circles for a while. Is definitely above the flood level.
Found pretty quickly, muggles were zooming past took no notice as we admired the bridge.
Went the long way around to find this one, but once on track was easy to locate.

This one found by Professor Vertigo.... on the way home from a Christmas Party.
General agreement was that we felt like we had found a PORT KEY
Great hide, had us looking just the right amount of time.
Pretty bridge. Professor Vertigo's first find... claimed he found it as he was desperate to get off the bridge with the Golden child, and safely back in the car.

An easy driveby, on a caching morning. Log is a little damp, still writable though. The cache container is a lttle the worse for wear though. Tucked it a little further out of the weather.

This is possibly the hardest one I have found to date.
My all singing and dancing GPS did not get me to within 3meters this time.
After about 5 minutes searching the general area we finally lucked across it.
knew it was a cool bridge and wanted to fit a travelbug to it but it didn't fit.
Cheers Anyway.
Oh, if you come this way on a saturday on sunday my model flying club is only 800mtrs away. Travel north to the T-intersection then turn left and it's 300meters on the right. Come watch us fang around, your welcome. 9am-12pm

This was our first look for the day, and we were disappointed. Looked high and low to no avail. We'll be back!
