I would do a NA log but I'm not allowed to do that until I've done one of these...
I didn't know this place existed despite growing up in the hills. The date on the plaque explains why, I was mostly at Uni by then.
When I got to the calculated GZ, I looked, but it was a bit hard to spot. Having just found a DNFed cache, I should have stuck around , but with so many DNFs, I gave up and went nearby.

Had a bit of a hunt and couldn't find it. Our first day of geocaching so might be lack of experience!
Although GPS signal was struggling with tree coverage, I'm pretty sure the cache is not there.

Hmm. Think I found a place where a 1ltr container ought to have been but alas no cache. If its supposed to be under the exocarpus, then it may have been muggled.
Grrrr

Mrs C grew up down the road from this park and used the play equipment here most days as one of her friends lived two doors down. The play equipment sure has changed! We worked out the coords and Mrs C knew exactly where this was headed. She used to walk her dog Chippyroo through here and had named this part of the bush "butterfly forest". We didn't walk all the way along coming out at the tennis courts as it was dark but there is an interesting old ruined chimney and an old oak with its limbs touching the ground where she'd make a cubby with her brother and in her later teenage years smoke a few ....
Anyhow, this was a disappointing DNF as it was dark, there were plenty of mozzies and spiders and the GPS just wouldn't settle down. We searched high and low but turned up empty handed. We will be back in day light hours.

A second look for the cache. Previously about 6 months ago - no success. This time possibly more experienced (I'd like to think...) and found it in no time. Took a TB. Thanks Sirius2.
Well this one was very unexpected and I was only here as we where looking for a nice park to have lunch as it was holiday long weekend and every where was busy we when up to the lookout and decided nope then after a couple of parks and reserves didn't suit finally tomtom came up with this one and double bonus a cache here too. so couldn't resist it solved the clues and a short drive and walk . I had to search a few spots till I came up with the right GZ.. phew
got it
thanks for the picnic spot and hello from us Canberra Cachers

The first location was a blessing for us as Sir Maxy was starting to get rather irritable and needed playground time to get it out of his system. While that was going on, Mr O solved the coords, then joined in the fun for the next 20 minutes or so. Found after a short walk in the bush. Dropped in a TB. TFTC.
I was getting really stroppy and made Daddy pull over next to this playground. I thought he was just being nice, but then it turned out there was a cache starting here . It was fun anyway, I laughed heaps. TFTC.
Iv'e had the location for this one for some time so thought it was about time to get this one of the list. I did not know of this park so after grabbing the cache went for a bit of a walk seeing as it was a very pleasant morning weather wise. TFTC Sirius2
We had a great day of caching with friends rosamapops and butterfly jen and this was one we targetted. We had a bit of trouble with one of the numbers we needed but by persistence we found what we were looking for. What awesome houses around here. Thanks sirius2
Wonderful expensive area for houses. Difficulty with coding but worked it out eventually. Thanks Sirius 2.
Glad to have the assistance of Liz and Bruce in establishing the location of this one.
A nice multi that started at a park I didn't know existed, which took me to a nicer park which I didn't know existed. I really must explore my local area more! SL. TFTC.
I attempted ages ago but unfortunately failed. I took home photos as homework to work the coordinates out. Finally I came back and found it nice and easy.
Thanks Sirius2 for the cache.

Limited parking close to GZ. A little more patience would have probably found a more suitable place to leave the car. Nice and cool for a spin in the hills today.

A bit chilly today! Drove around the picturesque (and hilly) surrounds before finding the cache.

New to this and decided to find this cache on a local walk.
Coordinates said we were at GZ and we were next to what we thought would be a great place for cache but didn't find anything.

Found after making mud at woodhouse for the day. Bit of a ride to get up, down and up again from this cache. I think the camera only has 1 picture left on it. TFTC Little Sirius!
Found at 11:00
Nice walk in with the dog. No chance of firebug accusations in the rain.

Some basic maths, some dodgy parking, a quick stroll and the cache was found. Nice little multi Thanks. Took voogoofish badge for muggle companions who know the fish in his other identity, left 50cents.
Took a quick detour on our way to Mt Gambier to rescue the Joshmobile TB - this TB likes to travel and had been stuck here for quite a few months now, so off we go for a cruise down the SE - TFTC
havent got the courage up yet to return, despite going to posspets for lunch today. will get there eventually
Apparently nosy neighbours are less suspicious when its a cloudy morning. Still felt like I was being watched though.TNLNSL.
This was supposed to be a quick easy find, before getting to posspets for lunch
The first part was easy enough, and i moved on quickly. Once at the final location i had only made it 10m into the park, before i was approached by the neighbouring nosy neighbour, and accused of being a fire bug. quickly talked him down, and explained that i lived 2 streets over and was just planning a kids treasure hunt
NOT HAPPY JAN. oh well off for a nice relaxing afternoon

Arrived at the small park and a horde of local children arrived. Luckily they didn't stay so we were able to get the information without delay.

Don't know what this geocaching is doing to our kids. We visit a playground and they are more interested in working out co-ordinates than playing! On to the second stage for an easy find.

An easy find with kggy... mrs kggy/voogs listened to the crows lose on the radio while us boys headed to stage two... BTW the ugly one in the camera self portrait is me but which one is the ugliest [?] TN left Badge SL, also left "sprintcar" TB...

Out with Skippy and shonky.
I was running round with a flashlight when Skippy found the clue.
However at GZ I was the one to find the cache.
Looks lots of picture. I had to I had just bought a new camera and was having trouble with the flash.
Dazed Shonky and Skippy staggered back to the car.

Took a slight detour on the way home to pick this cache up. Despite the glorious weather, the first location was muggle-free. So we took a seat on the apparatus to do the maths. A short drive later and another beautiful spot we've never been to before, and the cache was ours for the signing. We agree with Astro, coords spot on. Took the mini screwdrivers, left a robot. Thanks Sirius2.
This one bobbed up on gps whilst doing 4Fun's 'War Memorial Drive'. So thought I could get 2 multis at same time! Couldn't find any notes for it, and since I was only a few hundred metres away, so a quick call to Setsujoku to find out what it was about. He filled me in with the cache notes, clues and questions, and about 10 mins later I had the camera in hand taking a pic!
Thanks for showing us another park Sirius

Couple of lovely parks to visit on a chilly winter morning.
Quite a suburb on the back of the hill. I had no idea of the extent.
BTW At least now I am off 1313 on the 13th.

Found 09:45. Between dropping off the youngest to school and getting the old head shorn, came as I was going to plan a cache in the area , guess that will teach me to pull my finger out . Found easily before the drizzle kicked in. TN, L: Collect a Key TB. TFTC.
Great hide with an interesting start spot with an even more interesting finish spot. I should return here for a bit of a walk to check it out fully. Took the Laughing TB Thanks for the hide!
Coords very spot on. Don’t worry, you can’t be that smart for this one, though I tried!! Lovely GZ – took a picture on the camera, think I got in the way though . Thanks Sirius – aka Dog Star[?]
Clear skies, TeamAstro.

its no wonder posspet got a ftf on this. its only 200m from home for him!!!! no wonder porgy got taken along
Unlike Voogoo, decided that it would have to be warmer at Crafers than at home, so off we headed. Enjoyed the search, coordinates very accurate. Took Arctic TB (appropriately), left "Help save the Richmond Birdwing" badge (a souvenir of an entomology conference in Brisbane, and a reminder of more tropical climes). Claudia (aged 6) took a photo. Thanks for the cache Sirius2, and congrats to Voogoo for your recent 200th. Cheers, FeatherWaite.

Close!! So close that Porgy the GeoDog needed to go for a walk after dinner. The old boy was dragged along on a bit longer walk than he thought but was rewarded with a photo at the scene. One with and one without the flash. Ah, to close in on the location of Geocachers by placing a cache so close to their home. Cheers for this cache. Tokk nothing but 2 photo's and left a TB.
Exactly 10pm... was leaving and doh, the posspet boys already got it! no way I'm leaving in minus 1 degree weather to be second place, it can wait
This road was named after a Great(etc.)GrandAunt of theUMP's. Just thought you'd like to know that.
