We were looking forward to a nice walk in Bone Gully this afternoon, but this section of the forest is currently closed, so access is not possible at the moment.
GZ had us in the middle of a little gully amongst rocks and blackberries. Looked around but didn't find anything. Widened the search and still nothing except scratches and blackberries. We'll have to come back another day.
Gave it a show for about 15 minutes but no luck. Pretty low on energy after a 13km hike so had a few stumbles and onslaughts by the brambles (why did I come up here in shorts!), I also made the ill-informed decision to scramble up the hill face and follow it along instead of reading/looking properly! Sun was nearing the horizon too, so time to head home. Would love to get confirmation if this one is still here so I can come back another day.
Had a good look around for an hour or so but couldn't find it. I suspect it could have been overtaken by blackberries?
No luck after quite a search! Understand the comment about poor satlic under the trees. Saw lots of things that could have been the hint! Did enjoy the scurry around in light drizzle anyway.
Parked up and made my way to this cache, the search began and wasn’t having any luck but I knew it was here some where, I stood back and noticed something not quite right so went over and had a look, sure enough it was the cache nicely hidden
Today I headed south to Clarendon, Kangarilla, Meadows and Prospect hill to find a few caches that were new from previous visits and ones I’d missed previously. Total of 33 finds for the day
Thanks for the cache

Today I spent a leisurely day exploring and geocaching my way around the Southern vales. A little overcast but no rain so it was a great day to be out exploring.
An enjoyable walk through the pine forest. It was a long search but thankfully ended up finding the cache.
Over 12 months since last found. But when I went to sign I noticed it was found last month but they haven’t logged online yet. Oh well, still nice to get an oldie off the map.
Thanks for the cache fatnav.

Sadly this was too good for us today. Many many places it could have been the gps was bouncing around under the trees and the low cloud. TFTH!
Had a nice walk here today and this was find 2 of 4 for us today.
This one took a little searching but we found it! TFTC

At the end of August Groundspeak wanted a seven day streak to obtain a souvenir and so I started streaking. Despite having bugger all caches within 20 kms of home I am still on that streak. I am also trying to fill in the calendar to have found a multi cache and a mystery cache on all 366 days.
Today I needed to find a mystery cache for the calendar and doing so continue the streak.
The mystery was at the top so had to make a few stops on the way. This was first. A nice little fern gully gradually being overrun by blackberries. Took a while for the compass to settle and them I made the find.
Thanks for putting out and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Found while out hunting my usual traditionals on a beautiful spring day in the Kangarilla area.
Was nice to leave the car behind for the walk to this one and a few others nearby.
Thanks fatnav for the cache

The day had turned warm & humid but there were caches to be found on this hill...
I wandered up to the turn & into the rocks...
After a short search & some blood shed on a couple of sharp rocks, I located the cache...

had the day off work and thought to go for a walk in the rain plus i trying to get 5 finds in every calendar day ( about 61 out of 366 days left ). I looked where the gps said zero. I widened the search and after 4 - 6 minutes found it just as the rain started. It's going to be a wet walk up the hill.
First ever geocache to be found by the geoterrier who enjoyed a nice little bushwalk with Willeoliam and Geosophie. TFTC
Couldn't get to this one due to 2 girls taking photo's of themselves near by, so left to last but then I had to wait in the car as a family with children played hidey in the area. How hard is this going to be, I thought. Eventually made a dash, found it, logged it and took Geocoin.
Had to let the partner have a look around before I told her where it was. Good hiding
Went on a mystery trip with 'Dr Who 1' and the Tardis trio. [Mr and Mrs Sandalwood Cottage and Miss K] searching through time and space for hidden geocaches. Lovely walk and atmosphere in the pines, worth leaving 'Dr Who 1' just to experience the search. TFTC
We took Ninja Nana and a Geo-Friendly Non-Muggle on a what they thought was a Geocaching Picnic Day but in reality we were taking them to see our new "Shack" down at Hindmarsh Island. We stopped to find lots of Geocaches on our way and this one allowed us to stretch our legs and take a little hike. Lots and Lots and Lots of people out walking around here today. We will come by another day to find the others in this area. TFTC
Found more by luck hearing a plastic tapping sound while poking about with a stick!
Thanks for the hide.
Thanks for the hide.
This was a difficult one, the GPS was no accurate. But very good feeling when we finally found it! Cache is in good condition.
Great hike he'd work great little hide can't wait to come back and hide our own! Close call with the bike riders and I stacked it 3 times
Out with Mattycat and crew for a heart starter, a small group of caches on the side of a hill, a few caches needed some well earned rest breaks with lots of huffing and puffing in between, all caches were found relatively easy but sat lok certainly had us chasing our tails from time to time, lovely views with green grass and carpets of fungii to admire, finally found the time to enjoy this section of Kupito forestTFTC fatnav
Met up with Mr Froghoppin,
on a day with Purrfect Di, Sebastbat and muggle newb Alex on board.
Sat lock was dodgy as ever in the pines, Sebastbat's hacked Magellan
got closest of all and saved us a lot of searching

After a short stroll up the hill I spotted a likely spot to hide a cache, and sure enough, there it was. TFTC. 26/03/2016, 14:25 Find #1854
We had 5 of us searching today, sat loc was pretty bad, and we just could not find the right rock that this cache might have been hiding under. Will return another day.
After a DNF on 28/11 I was really keen to try this one again. Went into the forest for a dog walk and took a quick look around for about 5 mins but didnt find it. Continued the dog walk through the forest. On the way back thought I'd give it one last shot - walked into the area around the rocks and saw a suspiciously placed rock - moved it and....huzzah! there it was! Cache was in good condition (being well hidden by the rocks)
Signed the log. A very satisfying find after 3 attempts at this one.

Had 4 of us searching for 25 minutes but no luck. Dozens of hiding spots for this one, but couldnt find it unfortunately.
What else to do on New Years morning while so many people coincidentally have headaches and upset stomachs apart from go for a nice quiet walk through here! Explored another new area of this place with still more to go. Had a bit of trouble with my phones GPS bouncing me all over the place but after poking and prodding everything I came up with the cache.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Another tricky spot for the GPS. Eventually found it on my second attempt. To many muggles collecting mushrooms the first time. TFTC.
The Kuitpo Forest was busy with families and dog walkers due to school holidays and no rain.
The directions lead to an interesting location.
But my GPS was just as confused as I was.
Eventually, after a few attempts of places to search,
I found the likely hidey hole.
Thanks for the spot & location fatnav.

What a beautiful place for a walk. Found quite quickly despite so many possible places it could have been. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC.
Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.
Currently camped with our Caravan at Kuitpo. We left our Cat safely tucked up in the caravan and set off to explore. We took our geo bikes and tackled some caches on foot and some by bike trying to make the most of the nice fine winters day today.
The highlight for us today was seeing a Koala sitting high in a tree right above a GeoCache.
TFTC, Regards from FelixII

Up and down and up and down the Gpsr was guiding us, and then so many little spots which looked like cache homes to check but then success, took trackable and left coloured bands, signed log and replaced. Tftc
How beautiful is this spot?! So lovely here I could sit here all day and contemplate life [^] After finding another nearby cache and then this one, we set of for our hike to the top and then back down again. First time we had been to this part of Kuitpo and we loved it. Thanks so much for bringing us here. Left a TB, thought this was a nice safe spot for it. TFTC!
Mr Tardis was on a nice afternoon stroll through the black forest. I found the cache after searching a few hidey holes. A really nice and quite place, just the creaking of the trees could be heard.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache fatnav.

Luckily this was a quick and easy find since I didn't have enough battery power left to wander around in circles and read past logs!

Out for a day of caching with Firesafe and meeting up with 3LG Earthlight and the Xtrailers
Was heading out to do some caching in Kuitpo and made the stop on the way.
Took a little bit of finding but found it in the end. TFTC.

A nice cool sunny Sunday arvo perfect for a walk. This cache had been on my list for a while so what better way to have a walk than to take in a cache or two. Found in good condition. TFTC fatnav.
I had to go to Macclesfield today to watch a netball final so decided to make a day of it and go caching on the way.
What a beautiful day for the last day of winter and a perfect day for a leisurely drive in the hills stopping off and admiring all the wonderful countryside looking its best bathed in sunshine...spring is here...yay, [^] [^] after the long wet winter we have just experienced.
Stopped at the carpark near GZ and after finding another cache I continued my walk towards this one. It was so quiet and peaceful in the forest today and there were no mountain bikers to disturb my walk. There was quite a lot of water around and over the path so it made for an interesting walk. Had a nice little climb up the hill then got to GZ and had quite a number of hides to investigate. Clamboured around for a while, then coming from a different direction I spied the cache. Retrieved, signed the log and replaced, then sat down to really appreciate where I was and the nature surrounding me.
Thanks for the cache fatnav and for bringing me here.

The forest was really quiet today, and it's just as well because this one took us a while to find! A mountain biker was just packing up when we got there and another family happened to walk past when we arrived at GZ. They paid us no attention so we got to work and, after going round and round in circles for a while, came up with the find. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Almost 2 years since the last find eh? And 2 DNFs in between! High five! Plenty of little hidey holes about.
I am going to find this cache >:3 I love this forest and was determined to find it. Then it started pouring with rain and the GPS couldn't make up it's mind where we were, but ahhwell! I'll be back.
Spent the better part of an hour scrabbling around looking for this one - cloudy day and satnav problems didn't help, and when it started pouring down with rain we decided to give this one a miss. Have to come back on a nicer day!
Found on a very wet day.Nice walk through kuitpo. That hide rocks. Thanks for the cache.
Nice walk, took awhile to find, but got it eventually.

A great part of Kuitpo for a walk with a neat rockery [^].

HMmm? As we arrived 3 people got out of a car. The day was blowy, occasional showers and chilly! The people would have been late teens/ early twenties ... 2 blokes and a gal. The lass was wearing a nice warm jacket, short shorts and thongs (on her feet). Hardly good attire for walking in the forest on a day like this. Oh well - each to their own.
I suffered from poor sat lock and as there were many candidates for places to hide a cache it took me a while, but it was a nice feeling to get the smiley. )
Ingrid found some nice fungi to photograph.

First for the day at 1.15pm with fishing, vcamping and now geocaching pal "Are We There Yet!. He actually found it after a good brisk walk and a short off track climb. Good location. Thanks for the excercise, fatnav. I took a badge and left a koala in the pines.
This was the first cache on a geocaching day with my pal "How Do They Know?". Placed in a pleasant area of the reserve and within a relatively short distance from the car park. Took a TB (unite for diabetes) and left an ambulance and a badge. Tftc.
Another one we almost went flying past the entrance to, again there were muggles everywhere the parking area making unsure if we should attempt. We headed up the path and decided to resort to the hint straight away going on the amount of tree cover at the indicated GZ. It was geoD's day today as he made the spot and find after a bit of a search.
