Logs for Budzdunwerkin

28-Aug-21
On a cross-country tour with MyBetterHalf and today we are in Idaho. This was the main goal for today. Thought we had a good set of instructions to follow but of course I messed that up. I wrote it down wrong! Do not turn right at waypoint 2. Go straight onto NF1445 like the previous post says!We turn right at #2 and took about an hour to figure out we should’ve gone the other way.. Eventually made it back to waypoint #2 and went on the other road. Things went a lot smoother after that and only had to pass by one or two logging trucks. The road kept getting smaller and smaller but we followed the way points perfectly and when we got to the downed tree we had to walk from there. Didn’t bring the chainsaw with me! Short walk only a quarter mile. Arrived at GZ and found our favorite container type!
We SL RAF Thanks for keeping the oldie alive and TFTC
Took one travel bug but forgot to bring some to leave.

On a cross-country trip with MyBetterHalf and this was the goal for today. We took the tunnel route which was something different anyway. Cold & dark but we knew there would be light at the end of the tunnel. LOL. Short walk to GZ after that and quick find. We traded four TBs and took three. Then we SL RAF Thanks for keeping this oldie alive and TFTC

Out with MBH looking for a few counties but this was even more than that. This was an oldie and an adventure all rolled into one. We read the description but weren't too worried about this time of year, so we headed up. Narrow blacktop road heading in. Hey, this is going to be easy and then.....the road ended! Right away there were a few spots that made us rethink our decision to grab this one. But we wanted this one bad so we kept going. Some parts were very nice and then we found a few that were OMG!! Can we really do this? Can't turn around here so we have to keep going. Passing Jeeps and 4X4 trucks was a little scary too. But we made it all the way to GZ!! I looked everywhere no luck! Then MyBetterHalf says those magic words - Got It! We stamped the log with our team stamp. Covered the container in camo tape to cover up the graffiti. It was not hidden well so we put a few rocks on and around, topped with a white one. We won't forget this trip and we haven't even gone down the hill yet! Thanks for keeping this oldie alive!! A FAV 4 U

"MyBetterHalf" and I traded coordinates with "wombats_4" and "TDronsfield" earlier in the month. In the area again today for a Thanksgiving Camping get together. We wandered over to GZ and at first we weren't sure we were in the right place. Just started to look and noticed a suspicious "pile" right away. Bingo! We SL RAF Thanks to our New Zealand friends.

This was on our to-do list for a long time. Finally planned a trip to Utah and set up camp at Provo. Enjoyed the ride out here very much. Great views all around and the wildflowers all in bloom. Had the truck so the creek crossing was easy. Drove as far as we could and started hiking. Had to cross the creek again, but at least the bridge was working today. Smile Headed UP to GZ and after a short search this cache was finally in hand! SL RAF Dropped off a TB. Jasmer Complete Big Grin. Thanks for keeping the 'oldie' alive & TFTC

One of the important stops here today with Beege49. Found the first part easy enough. Took a few more and several eyes to spot the "real" hide. TFTC
