This is our second visit, we came more prepared this time, torch and good shoes. I also brought gardening gloves as we are pretty squeamish about sticking hands into places that might also hold creepy crawlies. This was junior cacher's first find by herself. I was ready to scurry out of there when she spied the guardian. TFTC
We headed over but phone reception dropped out and I hadn't saved the co ordinates or details, we will revisit this one.
LOG BY JUNIOR DRAGONBIRD, MISS 8
We took a long time to find this cache. We looked practically everywhere. We had a bit of trouble with the GPS. We didn't see any steam trains unfortunately. It was what Mrs Dragonbird called HARD, but I, Junior Dragonbird thought you just needed to LOOK like an upside down monkey would. As i said, the GPS was mucking up, so if it seems like it is not working properly don't bother to try and get around 0. Ill tell you why. When we tried to do that the cache was several meters out.

I was pretty sure I knew where to look but it was very muddy and smelly, and we weren't dressed for it. We plan to return with sturdy shoes and a torch when there hasn't been any rain.
This was our very first cache! A fun one to start with, not far from home and in a perfect spot for a picnic dinner. It took a little while to find and we were looking in the wrong spot for a little while. Luckily there was no one around which made it easier. I don't think many people wanted to brave the 40+ temps this afternoon. We had a great afternoon out with some found and some we will go back to better prepared. I can see this becoming addictive.
Found where to look easily, but it took ages to actually find the cache. Mostly because there were heaps of people around so we spent lots of time pretending we were interested in the history of the place! We didn't manage to get it until after dark and the station master was looking at me strangely by then. We had fun with this one. Thanks Juanmatt.
