Waterlogged logbook

A wet afternoon in Adelaide, not many out today. I came to this park in Adelaide and quickly found the cache. Unfortunately, it had been placed in the tree crevice so it was soaked.

Walking up to North Adelaide and stopped by to find the cache dedicated to the birth of Rose. It's nice to think the hospital across the road is the site of happy family moments too. All the best for the future Rose and family.

I liked this one and taking notice of this statute. The Dame was indeed observing the day's proceedings at this corner, the sunshine, the cloud and a spot of rain. I quickly spotted the cache with a nicely sharpened pencil inside. Good spot for an urban cache!

05-Jul-24
Out for an explore on the train and stopped at Kyneton for a walk. A little hidden surprise this structure was. Tftc!

28-Dec-23
This was a terrific cache, my mate found it while we were on a bike ride. Tftc!

Unable to maintain

07-Oct-23
Overcast late Saturday afternoon, about to head back to Jamieson Creek Campground for the night, but not before checking out the pier and going in search of the cache. Plenty of fishing rods around as I tried not to get hooked. I had a few false starts before I started thinking like a cache and getting low. As soon as I did that the cache was located and I had a spring in my step. Thanks for the cache!

07-Jul-23
A second one for the day with the littlies and this was a nice easy find, so not too much pressure on the old fella. Both littlies lifted up to retrieve this one and put it back, each enjoying the elevation. The pencil inside the cache drew some added interest and then we were off on the way back. Thanks for the cache!

A morning of geocaching in the winter sun with the littlies. I knew we had the right place but didn't lay eyes on the treasure too quickly, because it was nicely camouflaged. Without too long it was spotted and a cherry picker was rolled out to extract it with the help of some little hands. Cache log signed and everything put back. Thanks for the cache!

Thanks nirgalagrin for tidying it up, I'll try and take a look at this one.

28-Dec-22
I would never have had the joy of stepping through this reserve if not for the placement of this cache. Native plants abound here. Tall grass, so snakes must be near. Found after the GPS settled. TFTC!

06-Nov-22
Cache has taken off

Thanks for the find! I had this one saved as a draft, I was walking with family and a few pets that day.

16-Oct-22
I walked to the top of Gellibrand Hill. Clear day, planes taking off. Sun out. Swung by to find this cache.

02-Oct-22
A really enjoyable walk today in fine weather. I had a look about and found the thing the hint was alluding to, but I didn't find the cache. Better luck next time perhaps.

22-Apr-22
I received a report that the reserve has been fenced off for works. I'm out of town and should be able to verify within three weeks.

A bit of a cold, cloudy morning, not too many people out but plenty of cars. It's a clever hide, you did well to find such a hiding spot!

22-Jan-22
I have checked on the cache and determined it is no longer suitable due frequent waterlogging, depth of the tree trunk and the extent of thistles in the proximity. Unfortunately, I have decided to archive this cache.

The cache container has been removed.

I'm pleased to advise I will be checking on the cache today; sorry to keep anyone waiting.

22-Aug-21
Hi cachers,

I popped down to the cache today and was delighted to read the logs you have written. I enjoyed reading about the wildlife you had seen.

The cache is dry and the log and pencil intact.

Looking forward to you visiting this nice reserve when you are able to.

Stay safe

Thanks Camfoley for the maintenance report, I'm sorry you didn't find the geocache in good condition. I will get down there in the next 14 days to fix up again for the community to enjoy once again.

08-Aug-21
This is one of the best caches in the area! Unfortunately someone didn't secure the cache when they found it last and it seems to be down the hole

Thank you Riddell for visiting this cache and the favourite point!

I'm really pleased people are enjoying in this interesting location.

02-Nov-20
This cache is back online. New container, new logbook with pouch and some new swag.

Watch out for snakes now that the weather is warming up. Be advised you don't need to be wading through large thistles to get to this one. Keep to the low grass.

Enjoy finding.

29-Oct-20
It's taking a little longer to get down here but I haven't forgotten about it. I may need another two weeks.

20-Oct-20
I'm sorry to hear the logbook is soaked, I shall get down and replace the container to ensure an enjoyable caching experience for those yet to find it.

Aim to have it fixed within seven days.

02-Oct-20
As indicated, the logbook is in need of replacement.

I was walking past this cache last week and I knew straight away it was a cache when I saw it but I didn't have a pen and there were too many people around so I decided to leave it.

I came this afternoon on a walk in glorious late afternoon sun and warmth. I opened it up and found what appears to be a temporary logbook which is in need of replacing, being both full and a bit damp.

Thanks for the walk motivation.

30-Sep-20
I came down here for some fresh air and to escape the confines of four walls. A pleasant walk along the trail here and an opportunity to check on the cache.

The cache is in good order and still contains the pencil I put in. I also dropped in a couple of -ies of the oosh variety.

I also updated cache size from medium to small and in the description from 1L to 200mL. I made a last minute change to the container before it was published and forgot to update it.

No sugar gliders sighted but they are lurking.

Thanks to all who have visited this cache so far.

29-Sep-20
I took a walk this afternoon (within my 5km radius of course) and checked up on this little cache. I had to do a little search for it and found it just as I remember.

I put in some -ies of the oosh variety.

Also - the pencil is no good anymore so, please bring a writing implement!

Hi @veevers12, thanks for visiting, and thank you for the favourite point!

10-Aug-20
Thanks for sharing the photo and log @Georhysie, it's exciting to see koalas in these parts!

16-Jun-20
I popped down and gave the cache a thorough dry out and replaced the logbook and all the swag. It seems from a previous log that the cache was simply left open so I have not needed to replace the container.
I'm glad so many people are enjoying this area.

15-Jun-20
Thanks for the alert by ilukaperi. I will disable this cache so that I can put a new logbook in and ensure a happy Geocaching experience. I will aim to have this one back up and running with seven days.

14-Mar-20
I almost finished my walk and a young lad who helped me find to a cache earlier helped me find this one (thanks friends!) Many friendly locals on the track and a friendly Golden Labrador called Max with a very large branch in its mouth.
The cache is in good condition.

Broken container

I was out for a walk this arvo. Sunny and a tad chilly. I bumped into some fellow cachers. The young lad found it no time and I added my name on. It was very nice to meet people on the track to have a chat.

28-Jan-20
I'm 4.5km into an aqueduct walk and decided to stop and find this one. Sun is out and it's a great afternoon to be out. Thanks Paige for the cache

18-Jan-20
I found this cache after cricket finished early nearby. I parked reasonably close to the entrance. I slopped on some screen and my broad brim and went for a walk. It was great to see so many people and families enjoying the park today with shade tents, BBQs and sports on display. This was a very nice vantage spot and a nice place to visit. The cache had a pencil too which was good. Favourite point awarded for choosing good location and nice laid back cache.

Relaxing walk to get some peace and quiet The cache is in good order and ready for the next find. It has a pen inside in case you forget to bring one.

I went for a walk down the trail for peace and quiet. The cache is in good order and ready to find.

Wow, I didn't think I'd get this one today. This is so very near to the edge of the Cape. Yet here I was with t00thpaste after his sudden decision that we were going to do the whole loop. I wondered where this cache was and started looking under a bush. Then all of a sudden I turned my head and realised it was standing right next to me. This an 'end-of-the-earth' style cache and a fun reward for coming out this way. You have so many caches Gonefishen07, it's remarkable! Thanks for this one!

This was the first cache for the day. It was a beautiful morning in Cowes. The sun was shining. The dogs were out. The joggers were out. I was out with t00thpaste. This cache was tucked away nicely and in good condition. Thanks for the cache.

I came here with t00thpaste. This was our final visit in Phillip Island and it was to the Forrest Caves. We went past the Moonah trees and got to this boardwalk. We looked up and down the boardwalk but could not find it. We looked up the hint. And still we couldn't find it. I found two golf balls. I found some rubbish under the boardwalk. But no cache. Oh well. We have had lots of fun finding your caches over the last couple of days. Thank you for making them available for us to find.

My friend t00thpaste gave me a boost into this tree. I went right into the main fork and found a nice place to stand. However there was no sign of this cache. I had no idea how high it would be or whether it required special equipment. I went up as high as I thought without risking my life but gave up after about 10 minutes. It was still fun. But no cache for me.

I came out here with t00thpaste, we were planning on walking from here to the Granite Quarry via the beach. However, the tide was a bit high and we had to abandon that plan. Instead we walked the whole Cape Woolamai trail!
Nonetheless with this cache it was a bit of a rugged little spot. I saw a bush and said, 'I reckon this bush is hiding something'. I went around the back and sure enough it was. Thanks for the cache!

This is my third Earthcache and the best yet. I'm not a huge fan of the long winded Earthcaches where you have to give detailed answers which seem more like guesses.
In contrast this was fun. It takes you to a place you might have skipped over. You get to admire creation. You learn something. You see the ruggedness of the coast. I can see why this cache has so many favourites. I add mine to that number. Thank you

I came here with t00thpaste. This one over shot the carpark! This is a particularly good cache for the kiddies, a fun one. Well hidden and well put together. You have shown us many clever caches. Thank you

This one was not too far from the carpark and had a few favourites. T00THPASTE and I went in search of it. We bumped into locals who lived no more than just a few doors down from this cache. We explained we were geocaching and they were fascinated by it. They saw the hide and thought it was a brilliant hide. I agree with them. We had a chat for a good 20 minutes with them. Thanks for the fun with this one.
