Beautiful day at the beach... found cache quickly... couldn't work out of puzzle was still functional as opened easily. Pencil inside needs a good sharpen.

Unfortunately forgot to decypher the hint before leaving home, and so had to bare the elements on a very wet and cold day for longer than we would have liked. Thankfully none of the resident sea lions were around so we made it to the end of the mole!
250m from the road seemed straightforward, but we soon realised much of this is vertical! Still, a great way to walk off the pub lunch and some nice views over the bay from the cemetery. Hints were helpful to find the cache.
We’re new to NZ so this was an event that was unknown to us, but a beautiful tribute, and relatively straightforward to find cache
