Logs for No. 1 Son

04-Jun-17
Out with MissK1103 to watch the planes and the battle at the Open Day. We finally found the cache, it was behind a temporary fence to stop the public going near the hangar except the fence didn't stop us geocaching.

30-Apr-17
Went to Waiuku Steel 'n' Wheels with MissK1103. We had a look for this cache because we were almost beside it with the WWII Historical Reenactment Society, who did a battle display in the afternoon.

14-Apr-17
Out with MissK1103. It was rather good climbing rocks because lots of places were water logged after rain. We enjoyed the view and saw a rat running between the rocks.

Out for a walk with MissK1103 and we went looking for some caches. It was good being out in the fresh air but it had been raining a lot and the puddles were big and deep.

Out with MissK1103 and Brian, who was a little disconcerted at the reason for this cache but we reassured him it was for someone else.

20-Aug-16
Thank you. I really liked the chocolate cake.

09-May-16
I'll be there because MissK1103 will be there. I do have a pair of mismatched socks to wear.

Thank you Sophie. I didn't wear mismatched socks because I thought they would make me odd.

... Go. Where MissK1103 goes I go too.

05-Mar-16
We went camping at Ambury Park Farm. We did this earth cache on Saturday and a guided walk with the Ranger on Sunday. He tooks us to a lave tube in the bull paddock that was like a cave because the roof hadn't collapsed. We put on hard hats, climbed down the ladder into the cave and looked around it with torches. It was really cool to go inside a lave tube after being on the top of one.

I really liked it out here. This is a good place for a cache.

I went camping at Ambury Park Farm with MissK1103. We did lots of walks, visited the different farm animals, and found some caches. One of the walks was with the Ranger, we got to feed the goats, chickens and sheep, and we went into a lava cave.

26-Jan-16
I went to Rotoroa Island with MissK1103. We went into the Exhibition Centre, looked at the old buildings, did lots of walking and climbed some steep hills. We found the cache, had lunch and then I got to have a swim at Ladies Bay even though I'm a boy.

09-Jan-16
I thought there would be a telephone inside but it was like a library. There were lots of places to look for the cache and I needed MissK1103's help to find it. I like telephone boxes, there is one at M.O.T.A.T. in Auckland too.

We went on a road trip to do a kayak trip and go to Hamilton Zoo. MissK1103 walked all over the domain and I never thought we'd get to GZ. We did eventually and found the cache in a good hiding spot.

03-Jan-16
I know the Billy Goat's Gruff story and had a bit of an idea where to look first, and there it was. I traded for an awesome ring that was made from a 1986 American quarter dollar coin. Thank you.

I was exploring the bush but kiwivet found the cache before I did. MissK1103 wasn't even near us.

I went geocaching with MissK1103 and our friends. Found this cache and kept walking along the path.

I was walking through the jungle when MissK1103 found the cache. It wasn't anything like the purple scooter hidden I found hidden in there.

23-Dec-15
This was a fun cache to find. I found a dead moth when I was looking for the cache too.

17-Dec-15
Out with MissK1103 after being at work all day. I didn't want to find the cache the first way we tried but I enjoyed running up and down when we went the other way. It rained and I tried to catch the rain drops in my mouth for a drink. Thank you.

10-Nov-15
Just like a jungle. Superfun. I swapped some swag.

18-Oct-15
I went to look for this cache after attending the Police National Day at Ellerslie Racecourse. MissK1103 helped me get to GZ.
I was so sure I knew where the cache would be, MissK1103 watched me move it out of the place it actually was whilst I searched the wrong place so carefully. When I stopped focusing where I thought it was I found it under my nose.

07-Oct-15
I saved the cache. Out with MissK1103 who was looking, and looking, and looking, and ... you know how it goes. Problem is there was no finding so I went to play on the grass and there was the cache! You should have seen MissK1103's face when she realised I wasn't joking when I called out "I found the cache".

01-Oct-15
A chance to climb, a show put on above Stonefields, and a cache found on a nice spring afternoon. Hooray for school holidays.

This was clever. I got to yell hello to everyone in Stonefields. Thank you.

I climbed on the rocks and crawled around under the boardwalk. I stopped to dig the mud with sticks and then looked in the right place. It was a fun way to finish the day.

29-Sep-15
Just like going on a safari. Thank you.

20-Sep-15
Gross factor cache, just like a movie. I found the cache but didn't know how to get the log out. MissK1103 helped and we signed the log. Thank you for the cache.

05-Sep-15
After a day being quiet at a conference with MissK1103 I was rather keen to be outside and hunt for a cache at the same time. MissK1103 took me all around the practice nets looking for the cache and I got in a bit of bush bashing as well as a few rolls down the wet and slightly muddy grass for good measure. Finally, we looked in the right area again and where we'd started and there was the cache.

This was the second Hamilton cache today and on the way back to Auckland. I really liked the fountain in the park and the walk in the park after being at a conference with MissK1103 all day. It was really cool to find a slug on the cache when we retrieved it from its hiding place. Smile

03-May-15
This was a good one. Biartch79 used her GPS to get us there, I climbed the fence to look for it and MissK1103 found it and signed the log for us. Thank you.

I could see someone looking for this as we got closer. He found it as we walked up and we all signed the log. Thank you.

Biartch79 found this special one and I helped get the log out of the bottle. MissK1103 signed the log for me. This is a good cache.

I was really looking forward to a geocaching picnic because I love geocaching. I took the long way round with MissK1103 and Biartch79 and was a bit tired by the time we got there but then I had 100s and 1000s biscuits after lunch and it was all worth it. I didn't find the cache everyone else was looking for. Thank you Uncle Sam.

04-Apr-15
This cache is awesome. I had 100% fun. I couldn't have retrieved it without help from MissK1103 and put it back in reverse without MissK1103 and Magdajh.

Out with Magdajh and MissK1103. Madgajh knew I'd like this cache so off we went. The tree had just finished a meal and I'm glad it didn't eat me. We only just found out (15/9/15) how to log a premium cache with a basic membership so until now I'd just signed the log. Thank you it's a cool cache.

Set off to find this cache after helping my best friend Magdajh solve the puzzle. I know that Mercury is the closest planet to the sun and Earth is the best planet. Thank you.

10-Jan-15
I went to find this cache with MissK1103 after a morning at the zoo, then we had a picnic in the shade of a tree. Thank you.

09-Jan-15
My second visit to the Island and I stayed for two nights and three days. I had "night adventures", walking the Kawerau Track on Wednesday night when I saw four Little Blue Penguins (one was walking along Ridge Road!) and a family of Oyster Catchers (with three chicks), and walking part of the Wattle Track down to the wharf on Thursday night looking for Little Spotted Kiwi (we didn't see any). I helped feed the North Island Robins by moving the leaves round on the ground and found this cache, the last on the Island for me because I found the other two on my first visit in April 2014.

I took the lolly and put it in the rubbish bin back in Auckland because we're not supposed to leave food in caches.

13-Dec-14
Thank you Sophie. The best part of the day was going on the jet ski.

07-Oct-14
I went on a real adventure with MissK1103 to find this cache. I like rock climbing. We swapped a year of the snake coin trackable for a freezing geocoin trackable

Last cache of the evening with MissK1103. It was just at the right height for me to look straight at it.

MissK1103 really likes a breath of fresh air after a day at work so off we went for a few caches. I missed the first one because the playground was too cool. This one was more like a maze but it didn't take long to find the cache.

01-Oct-14
MissK1103 thought a walk and some fresh air after a day indoors at holiday programme would be a good idea. We tried the rocky mountain goat thing just because they were there. I got a big surprise as I opened clips on cache and heaps of bugs tumbled out.

I'm not silly and let MissK1103 do the moves to get to GZ then I assisted from above. I traded for a Little Shop apple from the first series.

29-Sep-14
School holidays and stopped for some fresh air after a day at work with MissK1103. We found it just as it started to rain and inside cache was wet so back to the car to dry it out and sign log. I'm not silly so I sat warm and dry whilst MissK1103 put cache back. Did some cool trades.

28-Jun-14
I had a whole morning cache hunting with MissK1103, Magdajh and Goober24. Once we got to GZ I knew just where to look.

I had a whole morning cache hunting with MissK1103, Magdajh and Goober24. This one was a bit scary because it was near the motorways but the lizard is really cool.

I had a whole morning cache hunting with MissK1103, Magdajh and Goober24. I was sort of looking in the right place and a few questions from MissK1103 helped me fine tune my search and there it was.
