Logs for arose62

Found it after a bit of a slog along the beach (note to self, walk on the wet sand on the way back!).
Took the keychain screwdrivers, left a small spinning top turned from Jarrah.
Would have gone on to "A Swell Place", but the other Roses' tummies were rumbling, and overruled. Sigh ...
Cheers,
Andrew

Took a bit of finding, given that we were starting from south of the place.
Anyway, after reading the warnings in the log about spiders, snakes, scorpions and dropbears, we need to add "watch out for the slicingly sharp leaves on some of the bushes!"
My son wanted to leave a big blood spot in the log, but I dissuaded him.

Finally found it!! (I think)
I didn't open the container, as it was only on a whim that I tried, once again, to find this one on my way back to work late after a long lunch.
I was on a high from finding "The Naval Treaty", and knew my way by heart to the "Jam" from 5 previous attempts.
Will go back once more to sign the log.
Cheers,
Andrew

Got to the second-to-last point with some workmates a couple of weeks ago, then went for a wander (without the GPS) last week.
Never knew there were so many things-from-the-second-code scattered about. A vague memory of the decoded clue is NOT ENOUGH to find GZ, but enough to stimulate interest among one's colleagues.
Finally nailed it yesterday!
I must say that I'm not terribly impressed by the view of the Navy, but that could be because I work on Garden Island itself (grin).

This has drifted a bit from the original ... we couldn't find any log seat, and a guy checking out the view asked if we'd lost something, and pointed us to the green plastic bags that the cache is now wrapped in.
He'd opened the cache, and signed the log book, but had no idea what geo-caching was about, so we gave him a quick run-down.
My son took the sewing tape-measure, and left a gumnut baby.

Found it in between looking at potential new homes.
My son claimed the sunglasses, but had come prepared with a skull, eyeball, and a crystal.

This cache was wrapped in a blue plastic bag when we found it.
Spectacular view!
No swaps, but my son and I are enjoying this geocaching!

Our first cache (and from the logbook, the first cache for quite a few others).
My son found the cache, proving that young eyes, and a propensity for grovelling through dirt and bush beat technology hands down.
No swaps, as I wasn't sure of our ability to do this geocaching thing.
