Logs for caccbag

14-Dec-20
I took place in a great team. I had issues with my app but, with help from a local cacher, we got it done. Thanks for the great cache.....I may need to come up with something similar here in the states.

Weird coincidence that we found this on Earthcache day. I love earthcaches and own a few of my own. I am in Australia on business and brought my wife and daughter with me. We went out to find this one a very very short walk from our hotel. I can't guarantee 100% accuracy as to our layer count (vertical vs. horizontal, and colors made it challenging) but we did it. Thanks for our third Australia geocache.

I was looking all around but then my wife made the find. I own a few of these hides so I am a little embarrassed she found it. Signed log with her lip gloss "pen". TFTC

In town for work and decided to do a walk after dinner. Took the stairs up and then down. I searched for about 20 minutes but it was dark/dim and too many magnetic friendly spots. We will try again this morning.

Second time also DNF. Oh well. May try again.

After a business team-building exercise, I decided to go for a nearby geocache. The cords were very good and, with the hint, found it very quickly. I had four co-workers tag along and they learned about my hobby....I mean obsession. This is only my second Australia cache, but we are here for about 6 more days so we hope to add to that count. Thank you for the cache.....oh, we saw a large bat fly right over GZ too.

We arrived after a long flight from Newark, NJ, to Houston, Texas (waiting for a planed delayed for about 2 hours and boarded around 1:00 am) and then on to Sydney. There the later flights to Brisbane were sold out due to the delay, so we had another 4 hours in the airport. Let's see if there is a geocache (we own an earthcache one in Denver International Airport, so had to do this one). Gabi and I walked over and did the hunt for the answers. It was fun and the museum is pretty cool. Thanks for our first ever Australia geocache, A favorite point.

Finally knocked August 2000 off the list - about 17 years after it was hidden. We were in SLC for a concert and we decided to drive down to Potters Pond for the find. Along the way we crested a summit at almost 10,000 feet, passed a lot of deer, some wild turkeys and a LOT of sheep. There was a shallow stream to cross but I was able to to use river rocks as stepping stones. Coords were bouncing a bit but soon I had the cache in hand. I dipped some trackables and signed the log then snapped a few photos. Thank you for this cache.

Checked on it this morning - it was missing. Replaced with a smaller container.

I thought I stocked this one well...but left out the log book?! Thanks for adding one!

"Herring"? This has enough herrings to feed Sweden for a year! Smile

Unless faultlines was on holiday, it appears a bit out of his find range.....true there used to be a stronger UK connection with Australia, but since as early as 9 October 1942 and as recently as 2 March 1986, I don't think his UK finds can include Australia. I could easily be wrong, but I am thinking the log sheet is still empty.

I'm guessing you looked at your inbox and said "What the.......?" Enjoy the new found fame! Congrats from California.
