Logs for plowfive

Thanks to everyone that has done and logged this cache, we've enjoyed reading all the logs. We are glad it has brought finders both joy and frustration in varying measures.Unfortunately we need to archive this as the local kids have been damaging all of them in the series, so time to retire them as they get broken as currently both of us are unable to maintain them. This one is still in place atm but a key component is missing.

This cache has been reported vandalized and missing again. We have decided therefore to archive this one. Thanks to all the cachers that have logged this cache.

Its with sadness that we have to archive this cache. We were meaning to get to it, but medical issues have intervened. Mrs Plowfive while recovering well from a stem cell transplant late last year has very recently had a thyroid operation and whilst I was meant to be looking after her. But roles have changed unfortunately as I managed to roll my ankle very badly while walking on the weekend and have only just got home from hospital myself after some surgery to put humpty dumpty's ankle back together again. I'm in a cast for the next six weeks followed by a moon boot. Maintenance is currently out of the question!
01-Jun-24
Disabling as it has been reported damaged. We will look to get out to retrieve this in next month and see if it possible to easily repair , if not we may need to archive, as it's spare cache double is also damaged and Mrs Plowfive hasn't been able to repair.
Cache is in nature, ants are part of nature, we can't kill them . If you don't like ants , give this cache a miss.

Having had lots of fun a few weeks back, we decided it was time to come back out east and do some JuzzMagic caches. This time we thought we could use a bit more brain power so we dragged along our Muggle Friend Phil. Again we were in plow three mode rather than plowfive , with the boys choosing to stay home.So after a quick Maccas break, we were back on the trail. We did the obvious things and no luck. We cast our eyes further a field and we still couldn't find the numbers. Then little Miss Tess pointed out the errors of or ways (or rather just the help we needed) and we were back on the numbers.Another really fun cache that was very craftily done! Yet another fave for you! Thanks for the awesome work (and expense) you put in JuzzMagic to provide us with so much fun.Later in the day we would run into BackPAQer and monch's mob and learn that they needed a little help with this one. We passed on Little Miss Tess's tip! So lovely to meet some cachers out in the field! A good bunch of people! We would run into them again after we finished caching for the day and they gave us a tip for one that we didn't get to finish ... back another day for that one.

This time we thought we could use a bit more brain power so we dragged along our Muggle Friend Phil. Again we were in plow three mode rather than plowfive , with the boys choosing to stay home.We had a heads up from BacPAQer who we met on the trail, that this would give us a laugh, and sure enough, first thing I did on spotting this was to have a laugh. This was a fun one too. I think I fluked it but got it almost straight away but I am guessing this could take a while if I hadn't had a lucky go!Thanks for the cache JuzzMagic - you've got such a great imagination!

This time we thought we could use a bit more brain power so we dragged along our Muggle Friend Phil. Again we were in plow three mode rather than plowfive , with the boys choosing to stay home. Was looking forward to this one having read ahead, as Mrs Plowfive has built a few Birdhouse caches. She does all our builds as I (Mr Plowfive) have no skills with the tools (I do provide the electronics however for a few of our gadget caches). This took us a little while but we managed to solve it all together. We did use the hint of course! Mrs plowfive in particular marveled over the mechanics involved! We had once planned (but not yet implemented) a gadget cache (much simpler mechanics and far fewer steps) with the main same trick and have done a few caches with that particular trick but not with the extra steps.....so we cracked it in the end.Absolutely amazing cache. Just loved it. So tricky , so involved., and so well implemented. A definite favorite! Well done!!! This is what a gadget cache is all about. Thanks for the fun JuzzMagic, this one truly was JuzzMagic. We would run into BackPAQer and monch's mob later in the day after we had finished caching and the second time after meeting them on the trail. They told us of their entry to the cache which they suspected was not the intended way - we let them know how we managed to sneak in and they shared with us some tips on Evil Eeny Meeny (which is where we first met them)
We had just started working on this when BackPAQer and monch's mob arrived. Love meeting cachers in the wild. We handed it to them hoping they would be able to solve it for us, but alas Little Miss Tess wanted to move on, so we moved onto the next cache. Later after finishing caching we would run into BackPAQer and monch's mob again and they let us know it took them an hour to solve!!!! They gave us a few hints and I think this would be a very challenging cache to get into even with insights they gave us.... so maybe another time or maybe not for Evil Eeny Meeny!!!.

Again we were in plow three mode rather than plowfive , with the boys choosing to stay home.Well for a muggle, Phil, really had his eye in and managed to find this before the rest of us.Well that is a big Log!Little Miss was very impressed!Log was soon signed and replaced. Thanks for the cache JuzzMagic. Now off to find the next one.

Again we were in plow three mode rather than plowfive , with the boys choosing to stay home. This cache, our third for the day, was a quick find but not so quick retrieve lolz. This was such classic geocaching fun. We all loved it! Another fave. At this rate we are going to need to do a power trail to earn some more faves....Really love your work JuzzMagic. Bringing the fun to geocaching!

This time we thought we could use a bit more brain power so we dragged along our Muggle Friend Phil. Again we were in plow three mode rather than plowfive , with the boys choosing to stay home.Arriving here, I panicked when I read the attributes and saw it had UV as one of them. But it all worked out ok in the end.We got Muggle Phil to do the work here... even though he is quite a few years older than me and Mrs Plowfive he is a bit more nimble when it comes to getting up and down on his knees.... I didn't feel like bending down here.. Lucky Phil was up to the job and had this sorted after a few minutes. We all loved the mechanism and how effectively it worked to make it tricky to get into! Another great cache and another fave. I think we will have to stop doing your caches until we have done a few power trails to get our faves built back up!!!! Thanks for the cache JuzzMagic. You have given us a fun day today!

Again we were in plow three mode rather than plowfive , with the boys choosing to stay home. This cache, our first for the day, was a quick find and retrieve => wasn't expecting a quick retrieve from a JuzzMagic cache but of course later in the day things wouldn't be so easy! Thanks for fun and the cache JuzzMagic.

Again we were in plow three mode rather than plowfive , with the boys choosing to stay home. This cache, our second for the day, was not such a quick find and retrieve, but wow what fun with a few twists and turns.Lucky we had Lucky Phil with us and he helped us here nicely.See photo of Muggle Phil and Little Miss contemplating what needed to be done.We all really enjoyed this one! A fave from us.

Again we were in plow three mode rather than plowfive , with the boys choosing to stay home. Now this was one we tried a few weeks back, but didn't manage to solve. I thought I knew what had to be done and we came back later that day but it was quite crowded by then so we didn't reattempt.I thought I knew what was needed, but just couldn't seem to get it done last time. This time I could clearly see what needed to be done and was able to quickly achieve it. I think I was just too timid with so many people around last time.Wow this is such a cheeky bold hide.. I love it. ... luckily there weren't too many people round today and I quickly gained easy access to the lock...Now what's the frequency Kenneth! Yep, being called Ken, and of a certain vintage, I certainly did get asked quite often what the frequency was back in the day when that particular REM song was popular...Now I am a 3RRR fan, but Mrs Plowfive is more a Nova fan. As I am usually driving, i get to pick the station. So anyways 102.7 was my first try (even though I consider it the best station)... luckily it was not the right answer!! But I still would argue that the right answer is not an unpopular station in my circles! Thanks for the cache JuzzMagic, it hit the spot for me , being a music lover...another fave.. we are quickly running out...

Hopefully, if all is going well with Mrs Plowfive, we will be there, well at least three of the five of us. @3@

It's been a while since we've geocached so with the sun out (although a little cool this morning) we headed out east.Have heard on the grapevine that JuzzMagic caches are pretty cool so we decided to target a few today and we weren't disappointed. We are a bit rusty geocaching so we did find a few a little too hard for us today - but we will be back to try them again another time. We had great fun trying never the less and were really impressed with the construction and bold placements! We love a cheeky cache hiding in plain sight with a little twist to solve. The boys had some homework to do and weren't keen on being seen with the oldies so we headed out with just little miss - so it was a case of plow3 for today. This was the first cache we tried. A very well constructed cache and a very bold hide which we really liked. A fave from us!Thanks for cache JuzzMagic.I did manage to stand in some Doggy Doo later in the day but at this stage my shoes were clean.
A nicely camo'd cache. Luckily we have done a few in this style before and it was a quick retrieve once I managed to get a little taller. We had visited "What the frequency" just prior. We loved the construction and the bold hide but didn't manage to solve it. We came back after lunch but by then the car park was a little fuller so we decided we will come back another day. We've got an idea what needs to be done we will try that next time. I can see we will be coming out this way more in the future as you've definitely built some fun caches! Thanks for the cache JuzzMagic, now off to do the next one!
Our last cache for the day as we were all getting a little hungry for lunch. Then the drive home....plus a few stops on the way at some op shops for little miss to do some clothes shopping! This was a very quick solve but I really liked its construction and its cheeky placement. We had a lot of fun, at this small introduction to JuzzMagic caches. We can see there are quite a few more in the area and we will be back to try some more (and complete the ones that out smarted us today!).Thanks for the fun this morning JuzzMagic. Another fave.
We had just visited "Brain tease" before getting here... but our brains just weren't working today. We had a lot of fun trying but the cache was elusive today. We'll be back for that one! This one we knew what to do straight away and quickly had the cache in hand.Good old school caching fun. Much better than some Tupperware under a bush! Thanks JuzzMagic for the effort you have put in to these caches.

Thanks Geocaching Victoria for organising and hosting this event. It was great to be able to show support and buy a snag or 3!It was wonderful to see everyone and to thank those for all the well wishes over the last 12 months. Now that Mrs P is able to get out and about hopefully we will be able to get to a few more events.
12-Apr-24
While Mrs P is not able to help on duty at the moment she is now able to enjoy a Bunnings snag.3 of the plowfive gang will drop in sometime for a feed and a chat.

Swapped for it's stunt double cache (spare). Ready to be found. It is tricky to open, but no force is required.
25-Feb-24
We have unfortunately decided to archive this cache. The cache has gone missing and whilst we have a spare, it needs repair and is not fit to be put in play. Mrs P (our cache builder) has been seriously ill, and has completed her treatment but is currently still immunocompromised so now is not the time for getting her hands dirty, splintered etc etc repairing or making replacement caches. We plan to keep the rest of the series going until each cache is damaged beyond repair or needs repair when we aren't able to do it.Maybe one day in the future if she is well and feeling up to it, we could place a new cache to replace this cache in the series. A WEGT #1 Take 2 hopefully! Thanks to everyone that has done this cache, we really have appreciated your logs and hope it brought some joy & fun to your travels.
The cache was broken, but it has now been replaced with it's stunt double (spare) and is ready to be found.
This cache was vandalized. We have replaced it with it's stunt double (spare) and it has the correct contents to give the proper experience
We have unfortunately decided to archive this cache. The cache has gone missing as has the previous version of it. A WEGT #5 Take 2 hopefully! This time in a far more discreet location. We do love a bold hide, but perhaps this was too bold for this location. Thanks to everyone that has done this cache, we really have appreciated your logs and hope it brought some joy & fun to your travels.
Quick check. Latch is a bit tired but still working. New log book. All good.

On a two and a half week family holiday road trip to SA from Victoria.2023 was a very tough year for the plowfive team, with Mrs Plowfive experiencing some very serious health issues starting in late April. The rest of the year was spent in and of hospital (mostly in) getting treatment and finishing with an autologous stem cell transplant requiring 3 months isolation post the procedure. We are wishing for a much better 2024 and a very long remission for Mrs plowfive. So with treatment completed and Mrs plowfive feeling just well enough to travel we packed the car and headed on a road trip to some of our favourite places including Adelaide and the Limestone coast to make some great family memories. We had a great time and even managed to do a few geocaches.Today was the second last day of the trip and we visited Robe earlier in the day , including the Transmutation shop where they sell recycled goods and gave us a quick explanation of what they do which was interesting. We visited this earhcache on our way back to our temp base of Mt Gambier. No trip to SA is complete without a Freddo earthcache - always interesting and educational. This was a lovely spot. We parked at the air down spot, as I couldn't be bothered letting the air out of the tyres and walked our way in. Probably we should have driven, as I suppose it is a little dangerous walking on the tracks when 4WDs are in the area. We encountered 3 on our way out but luckily they were driving very safely. Thanks for the earthcache Freddo and bringing us here. We wouldn't have found this spot without your cache. A fave from us.

We've been past these caves/sink hole many a time over the years and maybe stopped many many years ago (I can't recall for sure). Today we decided to stop and I checked them out again with middle child while the rest of plowfive stayed in the car.We got chatting to someone at that sinkhole (another Victorian) who told us there was another one nearby they happened upon by chance while driving across from Nelson and we went on to visit it next (Earl's Cave) where there turned out to be another cache hiding in plain sight (hadn't checked the app at that point!)Thanks for the cache Davidwazza

We visited a nearby cache CSS - Allendale East and we got chatting to someone at that sinkhole (another Victorian) who told us there was another one nearby they happened upon by chance while driving across from Nelson. So next destination sorted and here we ended up. He followed us round and led the way to this sinkhole where we got chatting again. The cache was in plain site and log scattered on ground. Middle child replaced log into cache and we signed. What an interesting location and geocaching and a random chat let us here. I'd probably not have ventured in had not the other fellow led the way as the grass was a little high. This spot has been neglected by the locals but has such potential. Would never have found this spot as it is not sign posted. Only the small fence and the stile give away that there may be something of interest to see here! Thanks for the cache Blamik

We had a great time and even managed to do a few geocaches.Today we were heading down to Port MacDonnell from Mt Gambier. I still remember vividly the first time we visited Port MacDonnell, it was late at night, pre smartphone, GPS, kids and all of that. It was a dark, misty night, and it was very eerie as we drove in under the blue neon glow of the very unique water tank. I think it no longer has the neon but it is still an unusual site that water tank. We even managed to see a few penguins up near the lighthouse in a deep hole back then....and never managed to see them again in subsequent visits. We read that the penguin colony is now long gone...Plowfive love an EarthCache (well Mr Plowfive does) and this one was on my list to do. I think I had been to this spot with Mrs Plowfive pre kids probably about 25years ago but didn't know what I was looking at back then. This time we found the sign across the road. Thanks Davidwazza and a fave from us for an interesting earthcache at an interesting little town that we like very much.

Nice to tick of one of the caches we might have done had we made it to the mega and we wouldn't have found this interesting location and story without this cache.

Great little spot and great facilities. Particularly liked the home made heater/fire place/oven (see pic). We've seen a few of these in SA at sporting fields... can't say I have ever seen anything like this in Victoria. Great idea.

Disabling this as it has been reported vandalized.
Sadly we will likely be archiving this series soon as Mrs Plowfive (the cache builder) is unfortunately currently undergoing treatment for a serious illness and won't be able to repair these any time soon.

Mrs Plowfive (cache maker) is unfortunately in hospital and will be in and out of hospital for the rest of the year. Luckily we have a replacement cache but given our current circumstances it is challenging for me (Mr Plowfive) to get out there. Will attempt to get there by end of August. If I can't then unfortunately I will have to archive this and potentially the rest of the series as they need maintenance.
This was left un reset by previous finder or muggle. Cache just needs to be reinserted / replaced ready for the next user.
