#2310This was the first of two finds for the day. My unfound Earthcaches are getting further away from home and I decided to visit this location. I had no idea about this location and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn. After parking at the provided coordinates, I made the trip up to Stage 1 and took in the views and started taking notes to answer the questions. I was glad to have worn my gaiters for this walk due to the height of the grass. After this, I walked over to Stage 2 and tried to look for the required items to answer the question. This is definitely a place I want to tell my nephew about, who wants to be a scientist. TFTE.

#2296This was the second of two finds for the day. After attending 'World Postcard Day at the Sydney GPO', I spent the day picking up Adventure Lab locations and found myself down at Pyrmont to discover the locations for the new Monorail Adventure Lab. I realised I was walking straight past this cache after checking the map, so with a slight pause in walking across Pyrmont Bridge, I checked the hint and very quickly had CIH. SL. TFTC.

#2295This was the first of two finds for the day. When I saw the date of this event, I realised with the school holidays and uni marking only just having come in, that I would be able to spend the day in the city, starting with this event. It was great to catch-up with familiar friends and to make even more new friends. The amount of organisation for this event is impressive and I can't wait to receive my postcard in the mail. SL. TFTE.

I went with blackdiamondrun with our new telescopic ladder and whilst we had the right height, the only tree stable enough is just out arm's reach of the cache. Might need some from the CO to determine how to reach the cache.[sarah_frances](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=sarah_frances) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA4WXP/75243 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.User has 20 finds (20 needed).Filters:( types (Unknown Cache) , county:Hawkesbury , country:Australia)

#2263This was the second of seven finds for the day. After attending The 13th Annual Hills Geocaching Event, blackdiamondrun and I headed up to Lower Portland to check out conditions for some higher terrain caches requiring a ladder. On the way back home, I noticed we would pass GZ for this cache. I solved the puzzle a long time ago, a relatively easy puzzle once I recognised the pattern. We parked near the fence line and I thought the cache was in the nearby facility. After walking towards the boundary fence, I realised the caches was not in the facility. I found a gap in the fence that I could crawl through and then started to search. This time I realised that the +/- on my app needs to be noticed more often as I needed some previous photos to help me narrow down where to look. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2262This was the first of seven finds for the day. I havent been able to attend an event in the Sydney area for quite some time and when this one was scheduled, I realised I would be available to attend. It was great to catch-up with familiar faces and meet some new ones. SL. TFTE.

#2264This was the third of seven finds for the day. After finding Mercury, blackdiamondrun and I continued our local caching tour in Hawkesbury. Given we were driving right past this traditional, we decided to stop and look for this cache. I took note of the hint and I searched in a couple of areas that could possibly fit but with no luck. After walking back and forth, without really getting a settled GPS reading, I searched a previous spot a little more carefully and found the cache lying on the ground covered in long grass. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2255 This was the third of four finds for the day. After locating 'Sydney Car Ferries AL - Bonus', blackdiamondrun and I started our way back home, with the plan to visit as many ladder caches as possible. As I was not sure how many souvenirs I now had following my trip to Adelaide and the Cosmic Quest, I used the checker and the following result was published. [sarah_frances](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=sarah_frances) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA4FXP/74926 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did. Number of souvenirs: 150 (100 required)Once arriving at GZ, I went to look for the cache and once I had spotted it, returned to the car to tell blackdiamondrun. This was the second time using our new telescopic ladder and we managed to access the cache, although it was tricky to navigate the bush right around GZ. Nevertheless, I have now filled in another D/T combination. SL. TFTC.

#2256This was the fourth of four finds for the day. After locating '100 Souvenirs Challenge', blackdiamondrun and I attempted a nearby ladder cache but were experiencing some problems with the ladder and decided to abandon that and attempt this cache. It was on the other side of the road to the direction we were heading, but found a good spot to turn around and it is helpful to have a clear area to stop for this cache. I used the checker and the result was sarah_frances has used Project-GC to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did. User has 122 finds (50 needed). Filters:( county:Hawkesbury, country:Australia)With the hint, this was a very quick find. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2254This was the second of four finds for the day. After logging an Adventure Lab waypoint, I realised that I had all the information for this bonus cache. Following the green light from the checker, blackdiamondrun and I headed towards this cache to start our day out. On a Sunday afternoon, there was almost no traffic except for the person who was following us the whole way only for us to realise they were catching the ferry whilst we pulled over to look for this cache. With the hint, we made a quick find. SLTNLN. TFTC.

It looks like I am free so I am looking forward to catching up with everyone.

Perfect timing for the event and for my schedule.

#2244This was the first of two finds for the day. I have been slowly but surely working on completing the A-Z of CO names and after my trip to Adelaide, I realised I was only missing Q. There was a cache in Adelaide that would have fit the bill but for some unknown reason, I did not end up finding it. Now back in Sydney, I was looking using Project GC to find the closest CO starting with Q. I was not holding too much hope for something local, but fortunately, this CO's name popped up and I was elated that the cache was not really all that far from me. I was heading south towards Camden and decided to detour specifically to this cache. Much like the previous logs, I found several spots that could fit the hint and it was starting to bug me that I couldn't find the cache. After expanding my search area, the other piece of information from the previous logs presented itself - a mass of ants all over GZ. Without much grace, I grabbed the cache whilst trying to wipe the ants off my hands, signed the log, and returned - again - wiping the ants off me. TFTC and for helping me fill in the last CO name.

This was the first of two finds for today. I have been looking at filling in the missing D/T combinations and when I saw this cache recently published, I set out to purchase the required TOTT. Last week, blackdiamondrun and I visited GZ to determine where the cache was likely located and were able to return today with the TOTT. Of course, the first spot was not the correct side, the second spot was too far away but the third was just right. We both visited the garage, admiring the valued pieces and admiring the associated extras. Whilst I am not a car enthusiast, I can appreciate the time and care people take with their vehicles. We signed the log and the returned the garage to its hiding spot. TFTC and a FP.

This was the fourteenth of thirty-five finds for the day. On the last day of our SA Sojourn, Mizmaz and I were finding local caches around this area. It was fortuitous that the original date of this event changed, as the new date fit into our schedule with ease. This was an interesting event for myself as I have never attended an event where the CO did not turn up. Nevertheless, this was a great way to meet some new cachers and catch-up with a few others we meet only a few nights before. Attending this event was another to add to our tally of our SA Sojourn and I have to say the parks and facilities around Adelaide are fantastic. TFTE.

#2091 This was the tenth of twenty-seven finds for the day. After finding Dromaius Novaehollandiae, Mizmaz and I drove not too far to reach GZ for this cache. We already had the solved coordinates. Given we are travelling around in the middle of a workday, we easily found parking but reaching the cache was something we were not prepared for. Normally we have equipment to help us reach but holidaying means we dont have our regular tools with us. Mizmaz managed to work out how to reach the cache using some things we happened to have in the car. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2108This was the twenty-seventh of twenty-seven finds for the day. After finding Black Pearl Scouting, Mizmaz and I continued our trip in the local area, hoping to add another quick find to our tally. I was not sure why this one was on the list until I noticed the cache name and agreed it would be fun to find. We managed to work out where to park the car given the direction we were coming from and of course being late in the evening, we were braving the cold and battling fatigue. We were initially drawn to the historic feature nearby and then made to walk to GZ. This was a quick find and the container certainly lived up to the name. SL. TFTC.

#2083This was the second of twenty-seven finds for the day. After visiting Flinders Faithful Friend, Mizmaz and I drove up towards this cache. We managed to score a parking spot not too far away, but then realised we still had a somewhat tricky walk to get to GZ. I think from the approach we took, that the terrain rating should be higher, but nevertheless, we were rewarded with a relatively quick find and for a moment took in the view from the bizarre lookout. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2107This was the twenty-sixth of twenty-seven finds for the day. After finding Scouting Its a Crime Mizmaz and I continued our trip in the local area, hoping to add another quick find to our tally. Oh my this cache really tested our searching skills and bravery to reach in and search around. Armed and protected with long pants, rip-resistant jacket and tear and puncture resistant nitrile coated gloves, I started searching amongst the holly and other dangerous plants. It was starting to become more effort than anything else, particularly when nothing was showing up. Fortunately, Mizmaz managed to locate the cache not exactly hidden where we initially thought but the good thing is that it was not so far into the dangerous plants. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2090This was the ninth of twenty-seven finds for the day. After completing the Little Marion in the Village Adventure Lab, Mizmaz and I headed towards this cache. We already had the solved coordinates and were lucky to find a parking spot close to GZ. We used the hint and checked several spots but nothing was showing up. After several passes to ensure neither of us overlooked, it only took Mizmaz to take a couple of steps back and spot the cache. Neither of us are tall so I just managed to reach and grab the cache using the available infrastructure. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2097This was the sixteenth of twenty-seven finds for the day. After finding Woodroofe Gardens, Mizmaz and I continued our trip around the local area, hoping to add another quick traditional to our tally. Although we already found a cache with a CO name starting with V, we thought it would be great to have another. We checked both sides and were a little distracted by the terrain rating, as where we were standing when we found the cache, it felt like the rating could be increased. Thank goodness we stayed dry. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2095This was the fourteenth of twenty-seven finds for the day. After finding Recycled, Mizmaz and I continued our trip around the local area, hoping to add another easily solved mystery to our tally. Mizmaz already had the solved coordinates and after parking the car, we walked the short distance to GZ. As we walked past the statues, I expected to see some form of information plaque or story behind the sculpture as the image set is quite telling of todays parenting struggles. This time we had to wait until our devices settled before using the hint to ensure we were looking for the right type of cache. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2082This was the first of twenty-seven finds for the day. After our long day return trip to Victor Harbour the day before, Mizmaz and I decided to stay more local today to give ourselves a chance to recover but still find the caches on our list. I am quite familiar with looking for somewhere to park on a university campus given I spent 6 years teaching on-campus in Western Sydney. Something felt a bit off today as there were hardly any spots available but there didnt seem to be too many people around except for those right near GZ. I guess though they are quite used to having people come in to look at the statue. After reading the required information, we took our photos. TFTV.

#2092This was the eleventh of twenty-seven finds for the day. After finding Nightmare on Elm Street, Mizmaz and I drove to this cache. After parking nearby, we assumed we needed to cross the bridge and I had flashbacks to all the suspension bridges I traversed in my trip to Vancouver in 2019. Needless to say, I was not deterred but our devices were indicating no need for us to use the bridge. We happened upon GZ very quickly and with the help of previous photos, we soon had CIH. SLTNLN. TFTC and an even bigger thank you for helping us cross off a missing month in our Ausmer calendar.

#2084This was the third of twenty-seven finds for the day. After finding Bizarre Lookout, Mizmaz and I continued our day of local caching. Knowing that Earthcaches are giving the most points for the Cosmic Quest and that this is a unique spot given the history, we did not want to let this cache pass us by. We spent time talking about the area and trying to determine the answers to the questions. Admittedly, my knowledge about earthquakes is cursory at best, so I had to do extra research when I arrived back home. TFTE.

#2094This was the thirteenth of twenty-seven finds for the day. After finding Reel Defenceless, Mizmaz and I continued our trip around the local area, hoping to add another easily solved mystery to our tally. Mizmaz already had the solved coordinates, and we found parking easily which was starting to become a theme for the day. This was a quick find but I think the hint threw us off a little bit. SLTLNLN. TFTC.

#2093This was the twelfth of twenty-seven finds for the day. After finding Have a Swinging Time, Mizmaz and I continued our trip around the local area, this time to ensure we ticked off a multi for the day. Mizmaz already had the solved coordinates. We found parking easily and managed to determine GZ relatively quickly. SLTNLN. TFTM a quick find is always a bonus!

#2102This was the twenty-first of twenty-seven finds for the day. After finding Dice Another Day, Mizmaz and I continued our trip in the local area, hoping to add another quick find to our tally. This was one was hit and miss as to how to approach it in decreasing light and short showers. We were lucky to find a spot to park but this helped reduce the walk over to the cache. SL. TFTC.

#2098This was the seventeenth of twenty-seven finds for the day. After finding DuckDuckGo, Mizmaz and I continued our trip around the local area, hoping to add another quick traditional to our tally. This one was tricky! Although Mizmaz had the solved coordinates (great poem BTW), we had some difficulty locating the cache. To our fortune, the premises nearby was not in use, so we could searched unrestricted. Expanding the search a little further out and from a different approach made all the difference. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2096This was the fifteenth of twenty-seven finds for the day. After finding Elephant Daze, Mizmaz and I continued our trip around the local area, hoping to add another quick traditional to our tally. We are very familiar with such hides but as we approached GZ, we had some different ideas to the shade of the colour in the hint. We did inspect other options but were continually drawn back to the structure that the army possibly had a say in the colour selection. SLTNLN. TFTC.

24-Jul-24
#2044This was the eighth of 45 finds for the day. After finding Tommy and Summers Treasure Hunt, Mizmaz and I headed towards this cache. I have been looking for a cache with a CO name starting with V and this one fit the criteria. We parked as close as possible and then made the walk over, being careful of the fence wire. Thankfully, the time spent searching for the cache was minimal as I saw the cache poking out. SLTNLN and replaced with more camouflage. TFTC.

#2053This was the seventeenth of 45 finds for the day. After completing the nearby Willunga Carvings Adventure Lab, Mizmaz and I started our mission to locate several caches in Willunga. This cache was a relatively easy find and I enjoyed looking at and learning about the old buildings. It is amazing how they are still standing, in relatively good condition and yet newer builds have many faults and definitely would not last as long. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2045This was the ninth of 45 finds for the day. After finding Bin Ere Dun Dis, Mizmaz and I continued our hunt for caches with cute names on our way to Victor Harbour. The name of this cache drew us in and we located a good spot to park the car. Unfortunately, the wind was really picking up making the walk across the open grass area quite challenging. When we reached GZ, it took some time to locate the cache and it is likely the terrain rating was suitable when first place but not so much 10 years later. We couldnt quite work out how the cache name applied until we located the cache. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2069This was the thirty-third of 45 finds for the day. After finding Victor Harbour Mansion, Mizmaz and I started our drive back to Adelaide. As we have spent some time together on road trips, we have a tradition of finding caches that are welcoming us to the town. This is what put this cache on our list. While we thought it would be in one location, the cache revealed itself elsewhere. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2070This was the thirty-fourth of 45 finds for the day. After finding Enjoy the Fleurieu Peninsula, Mizmaz and I continued our drive back to Adelaide. As this cache was on this side of the road, we opted to find it on the way back. This cache was on our list as one to complete a missing month and so after we found a place to park, I quickly ran back to GZ and after a quick search, located the cache. SL. TFTC.

#2054This was the eighteenth of 45 finds for the day. After finding Buckland House, Mizmaz and I aimed to find this cache as we had already restored another one in this series. The hint was very handy, as was the general area of GZ. A quick find to add to our tally. SL. TFTC.

#2055This was the nineteenth of 45 finds for the day. After finding Mary MacKillop Willunga, Mizmaz and I headed in the direction of this cache. There was something intriguing about the name and we decided it shouldnt take too long to locate the cache. We parked as close as possible, and walked around the trees into the logical spot hiding the cache. There were a couple of false starts until I could just manage to reach the cache. Then we opened it up and realised where the name came from very funny! SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2060This was the twenty-fourth of 45 finds for the day. After finding Victor Harbor History. Miniature Village, Mizmaz and I made sure that we did not miss this cache. As this was my first time in South Australia, we were aiming to log at least one of each cache type and the low D/T rating made this a great option. The cache wasnt too difficult to locate but hopefully it stays in place without getting muggled. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2067This was the thirty-first of 45 finds for the day. After visiting Granite Island, Mizmaz and I read the details for this cache. Visiting the location for the camera to take our photo has been a long time in the making. Back at the Wangaratta Mega, we both managed to log the webcam at Mount Buller and shortly after attending the Canberra Mega, we decided that a trip to South Australia would help us complete many goals, including missing months, and to log the other webcams in Adelaide. At the time of planning, this cache was disabled, and did not make our list. By sheer luck, I was checking out some details for our trip and noticed this cache was recently enabled. This one change resulted in adding an extra day to our itinerary, and a long drive from Adelaide to Victor Harbour. This is the one that we were also very glad to have visited during the middle of the week, middle of the day, during a school term. This meant we could spend as long as we needed to get the best picture. At this stage, we determined that we have now visited 50% of the webcams in Australia and with any luck, will complete 100% of them by the end of our trip. TFTW.

#2058This was the twenty-second of 45 finds for the day. After visiting Water Stone, Mizmaz and I continued south and decided to pick a few caches along the road that allowed a decent place to pull over and stop. Once we arrived at GZ, I looked at the cache name and before reading the description, had a pretty good idea why the cache name was chosen. Luckily for us, the only cameras were on our phones. Another quick find for us. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2059This was the twenty-third of 45 finds for the day. After finding Smile For The Camera, Mizmaz and I continued south and this cache was next on our list. In what seemed like a repeat of the previous find, we pulled over to a safe spot, read the hint and quickly located the cache. It seems a little disappointing that the village is no longer there but I guess peoples tastes change in the attractions they visit. SLTNLN. TFTC.

#2068This was the thirty-second of 45 finds for the day. After managing to take our photos at Penguins, Mizmaz and I proceeded to find some uniquely named caches or at least caches that would take us to unique locations. This was indeed one unique location. As we pulled up close to GZ, I read the hint and spotted the most likely hiding spot. A quick find and a consideration for the long history of this residence. SL.
