this one was nice and easy to do ' we even got to watch the show before getting the photo. we spent 8 days in the parks and this was the only cache I was able to do there since the kids had me running around to all the rides and shows. we make this trip every year and was glad to see a geocache in the park. I am loggin in some coins for mileage. Thanks

Iron Hill School, constructed in 1923 in a rural area of northern Delaware, was one of more than 80 schools for African-American children built between 1919 and 1928 as part of philanthropist Pierre Samuel du Pont's "Delaware experiment." Though small and modest, these school buildings incorporated the latest design concepts in Progressive era education.

the school was turned in to the iron hill museum. you can see the old windows have been painted over. the museum is still used to teach childern today during field trips from the local schools.

I drove by this structure many time not knowing it was a lighthouse since it is not on the water. but it is. here is the only history I can find about liston lighthouse

In many locations, range lights were used to guide shipping in areas where navigation was difficult. Range lights consisted of two lighthouses, used in conjunction with one another to mark channels for ships to move safely along the coast. When the two lights were lined up directly over one another, the captain knew that the ship was safely in the channel. However, when the two lights appeared to tilt or lean to the left or right, the ship needed to change course to continue safely on its way.

The Liston Rear Range Lighthouse was constructed in 1877. Built from iron, and assembled in the form of a skeletal tower, the lighthouse stands 120 feet in height, giving the light a focal plane 175 feet above the water of the Delaware Bay. The lighthouse was fitted with a second order Fresnel lens, which remained in operation until it was automated and replaced with an aero-beacon in 1976.

Today, the light still remains an active aid to navigation in conjunction with the Liston Front Range light. The lighthouse is operated by the Coast Guard and is not open to the public.
(informaton for their web page ) have to credit. currently there is no historic marker for this light house but it is in the works.
