Due to major vegetation using heavy machinery along the aqueduct this cache was sadly destroyed. Unfortunately as we are not in the area enough we will not be replacing this cache.

I love old cemetery caches, reading the tragic tales of how some lost their lives or dying so young. I reminds me that we immortal and should really live each day.
In Marlo working on the fires and I can hear the thumping of the chopper blades as they work over the fire at Cape Conran while I hunt for this cache.
I was able to sign the logbook without being attacked by thousands of mozzies this time noting that it is in good condition and well sheltered from the rain. TFTC

Currently on deployment to assist managing the fires and had some time to kill before the start of a tedious night shift.
Mistakenly tried to access the cache from the beach side completely missing the path entrance closer to the road. It's disgustingly muggy and the mozzies are by their thousands. I was constantly walking around while I signed the logbook in a failed attempt to stop them biting me. Cache is in good condition with plenty of room in the logbook........now to find some stingos to drown my legs in. TFTC

19-Jan-20
I must be the only one who has found this cache during the summer peak holidays without a single muggle to be seen in the area.....and possible the entire town. You see, the campsites are abandoned of people but many belongings remain (still set up in many cases)as they fled the fire that ravaged this beautiful town only a few days ago, leaving it sadly blackened. Kelly is here in a management role for the fire response to protect the town and ensure the remaining residence are safe. The morning before her flight out after a demanding weeks work she had an hour to spare and decided some cache welfare checks were required. We are happy to say this cache and monument are in good condition in an unburnt area and the cache is safe. There is plenty of space in the logbook and it is ready to be found when tourists are allowed to return to the town.

Up in Ballarat for another girls geocaching weekend with Morcs4. We love multi's in old cemeteries as they take you to some very interesting people in our history, and this Wherigo is no different. The information provided was well researched and we enjoyed zig zagging through the gravestones looking for the ones we needed. Unfortunately, my GPS became haunted looking for the last zone and it had us walking around in circles trying to locate the last gravestone down, one with such a sad ending. Thanks for a great Wherigo wozzle68.

Apologies for the late log.......sometimes life gets a little crazy and then you realise you have forgotten to do a heap of cache logs!
Another girls weekend away in Ballarat and after spending most of the morning at the old cemetery we made our way across to the new. A nice simple cache made a nice change from the Wherigos and Puzzles. Thanks for the cache.

This was the second half of a girls weekend away with Morcs4 and our second attempt at retrieving this cache. Last time we didn't have appropriate footwear to get to the cache, however, this time I came prepared. Thanks to some great flexibility I was able to get to the cache in no time, although I did manage to scare a local resident who then scared me as he flew away. Thanks for the puzzle Smile

With a late start it gave us time to check that we had all the 'tools of the trade' for whatever we may need. With no knowledge of the Difficulty or Terrain of each cache we packed everything!! Ok, maybe not everything, the budgie smugglers were not going to make an appearance so we decided on packing the kayak instead.
Teaming up with Riddell and OzHockeyChick we headed back to the car after receiving our paperwork to work out a plan of attack. Our plan was to aim for the big point ones and we circled them on our map but they were all so spread out, so we picked out an area with the most and found a workable route. We hit the road targeting the furthest one which was in Powelltown and planned to make our way down to Upper Pakenham via Gladysdale, Beenak and Cockatoo. We travelled made roads and dirt tracks, climbed trees and hiked up hills, all in the beautiful spring sunshine.
Four hours went so quickly and we would have loved another hour to be able to get to the gadget caches, but we had a ball racing from one cache to another and finding the codes required........except for Eagle Rock, dam those rock wall caches!!!
Thank you day1976 and ilukaperi for the time you have put into this event. Coming third in the race was a bonus and we are looking forward to next year's Show & Shine.

I was sitting in the car trying to figure out what was left to find in the Mystery at the Museum challenge while the other went to look for this cache. It wasn't too long until I received a text that another pair of eyes were require. I joined them in the search as becNmonts proceeded to climb the tree for a look at a possible hide while geoturtle37 showed me something else of interest. A look in a place where becNmonts had accidentally broken a branch reveled an issue.......but I'll let her tell you that story! A favorite point from us on creativity. TFTC
