Logs for Trumpy-Gee

31-Dec-14
Stumbled across this one while walking, but will take credit for the find....cheeky! Had already viewed the plaques and found them very interesting. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

27-Sep-13
Nice to get out of the city for a stretch

Will be interesting to return in 12 months time to see the changes.

Clever caching theme names. Had a day to do the 'touristy thing' in Canberra...no way near enough time to visit the sites; Two hours in the War Memorial/Museum and we didn't get past the aviation section! We'll be back to sight see and follow up with some more caching.

03-Sep-12
easy find
took pink whistle replaced with tweezers

07-Jun-12
enjoyed racing around bushland with kids.

17-Nov-10
Funny story (or not)... Had a group of muggle kids with us......all very enthused about searching for their next geocache treasure. The kids were racing around in the vicinity of GZ when we heard a very loud and excited "I found it!" The adults in the group caught up with the kids who were all squatting on the ground huddled around a blue container with lots of 'treasures' in it. The kids were ratting through the treasures "Can we keep these?" "Can I have these ones?" On closer inspection we realised they hadn't discovered a cache, rather a collection of feral cat scats all catergorised in envelopes and put in a collection spot by the DSE. It was a mixed reaction of absolute horror and side splitting laughter! Sorry to DSE if we mucked up their research project.
Finally found the real cache....all good. TFTC

Found wwith group of Muggle kids. We enjoyed a picnic lunch in the Cow Camp (a public shelter) and exploring the Alpine village without the snow to negotiate. TFTC

Took a group of muggle kids up the mountain. The Gnome Tree was a great spot for the kids... they loved it! Easy find cache.

22-Oct-10
Dropped a group of Muggle school students with my GPS just up from the White Rino art gallery and they walked the 3ish km back way to GZ. They were pretty excited to be out on a treasure hunt, it certainly motivated some otherwise reluctant walkers. A lovely spring day, a little exercise and a nice surprise at the end..... we weren't disappointed. A bit more running around and exploring for those with energy to burn, a picnic morning tea and everyone was satisfied. We collected a couple of geocoins to transfer on our next adventure. TFTC

31-Mar-10
Top spot; loved the 360 view.

Two Bays Walking Track is fantastic. Great to have another excuse to walk a section. Thanks to "gmj3191" for clearing the cobwebs from across the track. Wouldn't it be good if geocachers had a 'secret sign' so we could make a connection while out seeking? Or not?

09-Jul-09
Tracks cleared so no logs to negotiate. Enjoyed gorgeous weather and speccy views of snow capped mountains in the distance. TFTC ... a good one.

24-Jan-09
Favourite one to date. Little huff and puff walk to be rewarded with great mountain views and good cache. The hut was in great condition and well prepared for visitors. The not so long drop loo had the best view. TFTC

23-Jan-09
Heads down bums up but had no joy in finding cache. Maybe we needed the geokids for this one. We found nice shade and relief from the heat of the day to have lunch here. Enjoyed secondhand bookshop nearby too.

Boiled the billy and enjoyed the view and Reserve walk. Tried not to disturb the spikey, colourful spiders that had woven a criss cross of webs around GZ and general area. Nice stopover. TFTC

Hot, dry dusty drive in, easy find, speccy view, drove out in wild storm and torrential rain. TFTC

21-Jan-09
Glad we had our bathers and fishing rods with us. Magic spot; had a swim and watched a sea eagle soaring overhead. There was no geocaching information in cache.

19-Jan-09
Confident we had the location, searched hi & lo for cache, no joy. Enjoyed walk all the same.

Gorgeous day, spectacular views TFTC

Visiting muggle family in area took them caching for their first time; muggle kids very excited. Pleasant walking, beautiful views. Found cache easily under white flowering tree that wasn't an Acacia. TFTC

17-Jan-09
Confident had location but counted 57 Muggles milling around so we decided not to attempt to expose the cache. Great walk, still patches of snow visible. We'll be back at a quieter time.

14-Jan-09
47.5 deg C hot, dry and dusty; no sign of water.

02-Jan-09
Old haunt of mine; great swimming hole but yes, very cold below 6 inches. Views are more vast due to the fire damage; that's good and bad. T green frog L yellow frog; seemed fitting for the environment. TFTC

Ideal walking/running track; can go for miles if you wish with great bush and coastal scenery TFTC

01-Jan-09
Took two friendly muggles on the search, they're signing up as a geocaching team cos they loved it!
Spectacular spot to explore, TFTC.
