Had a quick look around for it but not really a good search. Didn't find. Will go again in a few days and search for real.

Alfe5 found this on a cold windy day. The cache was in place but wet inside with a little bit of water standing in the bottom of the container. Emptied and dried as much as possible but the cache needs some help I think. TFTC

Alfe5 found this on a cold windy trip to the rocky coast at the end of the road. Found the cache in good shape after walking past it several times. TFTC

Alfe found it today with no problems. Didn't log the book. Alfe2 says, "the pencil is pukaroo."

One, perhaps two would like to attend, but timing will be an issue. It has to fit between work and an evening commitment. A definite maybe... but here's hoping.

A nice place to have a think and watch some ducks. The landmark is impressive. I wonder how long it has been since it was a little lad and how much longer it will remain. Lots of nice places to sit and have a think.

A favorite place. Always has been one of the first places to visit when arriving back into NZ after being overseas for a while. Take a bottle of wine and a good friend to remember the past or contemplate the future, or just go alone to think things through. Lovely place and well worth the trip.
No swaps, but did drop off the Cat Bait TB that stole away in the pack while visiting the Taurange Hotel.
Thanks for the cache!

It is strange how one can drive past a place almost everyday and not notice that it is there. Thanks for the quiet place to sit and think, or play some ball.
The cache is well stocked so be sure to bring something to swap. Of course, we didn't, so we just drooled over a couple of the items.
Found a couple of old friends staying in the hotel. We decided that a couple of them needed to move on. We picked up LUMY the KIWI and Slalom for a ride around town. Slalom will likely go a bit north, perhaps to Kati Kati area. LUMY *might* be in for a trip across the ocean, but timing might be a problem. We'll see.
Thanks for the cache!

Did a drive by late yesterday afternoon, but didn't have time to stop and look around. Came back this morning and gave it a go. Never did find the first stage, but went for a stroll around the park and looked where I would have hidden something and came across a cache of goodies. Dropped off Team Canada Travel Bug and picked up Cat Bait Travel Bug and signed the log, probably with the wrong date.

A great place for a view, and a quick cache! Don't know why this took twice to locate, maybe just an excuse to visit the site again. Swaps were nil/nil, but picked up the Team Canada travel bug.
Thanks for the cache!

Work is "spittin" distance away and I didn't know that this place was here until today. Went by to have a look around mid-day and returned after work for a little stroll and a little caching. Will have to return for a picnic one day real soon. Excellent hiding place, not too difficult to locate, but not easy to stumble across.

Dropped a Travel Bug off that hitched a ride from Texas... YeeHaw. Someone needs to move him along, but don't upset him, he's probably packing a knife... or gun.
Thanks for the cache.

Interesting. Another first. Log tide makes this possible without boats and such. Got a few bug bites though. Probably Mozzies or chiggers or something. Do chiggers exist in New Zealand? hum..
Thanks for the cache to log.

The park is lovely. What a wonderful, quiet place to have a gathering of family and friends for some outdoor event, perhaps a wedding or familty reunion.
The cache area, on the other hand, would make a great place to film a jungle movie. Lots of big trees, heavy undergrowth, and plenty of flying, biting critters. Strongly recommend bug spray if you plan to linger in the area or have much of a dislike for being biten.
The cache is damp, but the contents seem okay. Wanted to leave a travel bug, but forgot to take it, so it will have to go in the next cache. Signed the log, but didn't swap anything.
Thanks for the hunt.

A short drive from Katikati to the end of the "good" road then into the bush. Two outta shape guys sloging along took about 2 hours to get to the mine. Got to the mine about midday and found three hikers there. We brought a torch, but they didn't, so we lent them ours, but had to wait for a while for them to get bored and leave. A few minutes of searching we discovered the cache. A quick log entry and back down the trail to the clearing (a hut location perhaps?) for a quick lunch and back to the car. Total time, 6 hours. Anyone should be able to do this in less than us. Have fun and enjoy the hike.

That hole is big enough to drive a truck into. A really, Really, REALLY ***BIG*** truck, a lot of them actually, and then have room for a truck derby or something. It is deep too. "How deep is it?", you ask? Well, go have a look, but don't stand too close to the edge.
Thanks for the cool cache.

A favorite place to visit, and greatly enjoy the trip each time we go. But, alas, we did not find the cache. Could someone verify it? We believe that we found the cache location, but no treasure was to be found.
