Logs for Dazed and Confused

02-Dec-04
Visiting from Canada so I guess we're dam tourists. Smile Very slippery scramble down due to the rain, but found the cache with no problem. Moisture is getting in so things are a bit rusty/mouldy in there. Took nothing, left a keychain of a $100 Canadian bill. We wouldn't have come here without the cache so thank you for introducing us to this nice spot. I couldn't believe the number of Kingfishers we saw on the way in.

We couldn't find the cache. If it is where our GPS said it should be then the branches of the bush had all been recently prunned back quite a bit so it is possible it was removed by the gardener.

Visitors from Canada. Enjoyed the view. Nicely hidden cache. It was lightly raining with a very strong wind so we didn't have any muggles around to see us. TNLN.

It was a dark and rainy day when we went after this cache. We couldn't find it, but we only had the co-ordinates, not the rest of the description. The co-ordinates indicated the bridge and we searched around but couldn't find it (severely hampered by the mud and darkness.)

This is a nice little historic spot, and a great place to stop and stretch your legs while driving up the coast. Lots of lupins around. We couldn't find the travel bug in the cache.

Took a little truck.
Left a Canada pin.

Found this one while on vacation from Canada. We found the black sand interesting as we have white sand in Ontario.

Took a couple of marbles.
Left a little truck.

The cache was full of water and everything in it is soaking wet, even though they are in plastic bags. The log is ruined. The cache container isn't waterproof and is filling up when it rains. Unless the owner fixes the problem the cache should be removed and archived.

Update: Received email saying the cache has been fixed so switching this from 'needs archiving' to 'found it'. Thanks for the quick fix Moneydork!

It was raining so we didn't do the trail, but we did see the glacier from the lookout. Took nothing. Left a Canada pin.

17-Nov-04
We took the hard way down but still managed to find it without injury. Took a puzzle and left a $20 Candian Dollar keychain. Then we took an even harder way up. We now know more about bracken then we ever thought we would. Smile

Had a really nice walk along the river. It is very beautiful here in the spring with so many trees in bloom. The river was running very high and fast since it has been raining for days. We're learning to recognize the prickly bushes and avoid them. Smile

Took nothing. Left a $50 Canadian Dollar keychain.

Very easy find. Had to make sure we weren't spotted by the other walkers in the area. It was a bit of a wet day but we walked part way down the trail and got some nice pictures.

Took nothing.
Left Friendly Brown Bear Travel Bug. We hope he will find his way back home to Canada.

Found the cache after a little bit of searching. The clues made it sound closer to the path than it is. Nice hiding spot though! Left Muddled Moose Travel Bug who likes the pine forest since it reminds him of home (Canada). We then walked to the summit which is quite the feat for people used to fairly flat countryside (Ontario). The Queenstown Hill is higher than our 'Blue Mountain'.
