Logs for Dukes Team

28-Jul-16
Dnf but as we had grandsons 1&2 with us we couldn't spend a lot of time looking, this one is only 120mt from home so will have another look soon!

20-Nov-13
Might have the date wrong but we found it after a short search anyway
It had been a long time and sadly we were without our original geo dog, but now we have 2 more geo muts to assist, they love the bush with all the smells and things to do
Anyway after a short walk up the highway and off the beaten track we found it, took nothing but the wife left a small prize as we didnt really have anything else, I think its time to visit the reject shop to stock up on geocaching stuff again

09-Jun-12
Yayyy found it, took both dogs for a walk, dogs and parks and bush go together like jam and peanut butter sandwiches!
Despite my best efforts to look for the cache like it was a bottle of sauce in the pantry I could not find it, even when the wife held it up for me I still didnt see it!
Anyway just logged our visit tnln
Almost lost no 1 dog on the way back across the oval, he decided the group playing in the park was more interesting, luckily he doesnt run anymore due to his age!

12-May-12
Its been a long time between caches, wife and 2 dogs but still couldnt find it, pretty sure we found GZ but despite crawling around and getting licked by one of our dogs we still couldnt find it, can anyone confirm its still there?

09-Sep-05
Found it, wasnt too hard, lots and lots and lots of flying syringes in the area, sorry but I forgot what we took and left, damn memory whats my name again?

Our first qld cache. Nice spot for a picnic, did a double take as the gate was locked, drove back checked gps again and went back to the gate, found it after a short walk and some scrabbling around in the bushes, yes there is some barbed wire so watch out!
Lots of mossies around here too!
The cache was in very poor condition, perhaps a new container and some zip lock bags might be in order, some of the stuff had been wet!

16-Jul-05
Still looking, will have another try over the next couple of weekends, but hey we had a good long walk and the geopet needed to get out too!
Found wp1 for Birthday Bridge Backdrop on our way home so i guess the day wasnt a total loss, you threw us off with your hint about chains etc until I got home and looked it up, will try out my theory next time!
Thought we had lost the dog, while walking through the gullies and over hill over dale, he tears down the hill and takes a flying leap into the creek, you cant keep a good lab down can you!

29-May-05
Ha ha, found it this time.
Took geowife, geodaughter and geolabrador this time.
Geolab loves the bush so many waterholes and things to see.
No wonder I couldnt find it last time, have to remember to listen to wife more as she suggested where it might be and guess what (I will never admit it) but she was right!
took cd, left kermit and travel bug
Good cache in a really top bushland setting!

11-May-05
This was our first for the day, couldnt find any caches we were looking for, always seemed to be just that bit too far off the track for where we were, anyway, after lunch at the local pub (the woori yallock pub, highly recommened esp their deserts) we noticed some kids riding on a bike track, put 2 and 2 together and after a false start found the cache, well my pregnant sister did anyway! Now she and hubby are hooked, but they will have to wait a few months now, at least until the birth of their geo kiddie!
Took photo phrame (for the kiddies first pic) left seahorse keyring!

Never knew anywhere like this existed!
Took geosister and her hubby geocaching, gave her the gps and said you find it sis!
Well she found it! I think they are hooked like we were when we found our first cache!
Pity she is otherwise indisposed for a few more months (carrying a future geokiddie)!
Took kermit left stamper!

07-May-05
Lovely day for a cache hunt, after a couple of false starts, parked the geomobile near the yacht club, nice cool weather for the walk, geopartner found the cache while I was bounding through the bushes, took the travel bug, left some hand cream!

05-May-05
Found it this morning, lovely place didnt know it existed so close to parents place!
Saw some portable golf bags hopping around, lots of birdlife in the park too!
TN, left scratchy!

29-Apr-05
dnf, damn, I think I got sidetracked by looking at the wrong giant
anyway when me and geopet got home (his foots better now)
I took off my socks and found I had picked up a travel bug yuck!

25-Apr-05
after a couple of false starts we drove to the car park about 1.5km away, nice arvo for a walk (no dog this time)
got there and noticed a few muggles around the GZ
looked at the view, muggles left, then more muggles arrived, couldnt search so decided to leave and try another day.
On our way back to the car, muggles drove past us, a quick drive back to GZ and a search. Still couldnt find it, more bloody muggles, so had to give up, geowife says she will check during the week when she doesnt have to pay to get in and there shouldnt be so many muggles about
I can see why its popular with the muggles too!

22-Apr-05
Lovely day for a walk, only problem was our geodog has a sore paw and couldnt come with us!
Beaut views, let geowife find it this time.
Took cd left dice!

12-Apr-05
Dont know why my last log didnt show up, but anyway we found it yesterday.
took nothing left bubble maker mobile phone thingy
walked from home, obviously we thought it was in a different place, ended up walking 8kms thru rugged lower mountains terrain
gotta remember the camera for next time.
geodog saw a roo and almost ran off after it, was touch and go there for a while telling him to sit, stay, heel, come back!!!!!!
Next time will try a drive past first, ended up getting daughter to pick us up, she wasnt impressed by the smelly geopet (he loves puddles)
We stopped off at "girls rule" and think we found the first wp!
Will see how we go next sat with that one!

10-Apr-05
Lost my geovirginity at last.
Have walked along here in the past but this was my first time as geocacher
Took geowife and geopet along for the walk
Had trouble finding the cache, was looking over the ledges, until geowife said maybe its under this rock (where her and geopet were sitting)
Lo and behold there was something in there
took stapler, left soap
and yes there are some wonderful views from here!
