I hitched down to the lake on my day off today. Walked around it and did a bit of Te Henga walkway.. I've already been here in summer, felt good to be back! The weather was on my side, so I could fully enjoy it:)
Some muggels were here at the first attempt.. So I stopped on the way back and had a quick find!

This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache. 

Didn't do this one. It is in the area where the rahui is laid down. I think the cache should be disabled for that time..

This was the last one for me today.. Took me a few minutes.. I pulled out some rubbish out of there. So if someone visits this cache with a car, would be cool if he could grab it from the parking area:) Cheers!

Yes, I saw the sea! This one took me a while.. One reason is the steep area.. To be honest, I prefer caches where no new paths are created for..

This is a really special place for me.. I took a bath here in summer and was completely alone, even that there were heaps of people on the other side of the lake.. Today I saw one other man on the hole walk.. Quick find!

The last time I was here for the caches a bit further down, I didn't had the time for this one.. After a river crossing and a mean bush walk, I was able to leave my signature this time. On the way back I met some cows. We didn't really made friends although they followed me and watched every step of mine. Had a real nice walk! Thanks to the owner!

I spend beautiful 1,5h on the beach today.. The weather couldn't have been better, sunny as! Just nice to feel the warm sand and sun but the cool cave and water..

I've already enjoyed this cave in summer, a time without caching.. Today I've been back! I spend 1,5h on Bethells Beach on a day without a cloud in the sky:) To be honest: The thingy in my hand is my phone as I needed the tablet (that I navigated with) for the photo.. I went for a great walk yesterday, finding this one and the other tradi up the road. I grabbed my rain coat before leaving and expected to get wet, but I was lucky:) The way back was funny because of a river-crossing after a lot of rain:)
This box took me some time to find.. Maybe it is just me, but the coords leaded me too far..

I visited the volcano by foot and therefore walked next to the street for a while.. I had a look at the different layers, thought about why it is how it is and picked up a stone for the foto afterwards. I don't even know why:D I needed the 'GPS' for taking the foto.. Thank you for this Earthcache! Fitzfatz-Team 

I just hit the 'log geocache' button again after more than two years and the first time on the other side of the world! F**k yeah! An hour ago I suddenly thought about geocaching since ages and even had to shortly think about the password for logging in. I had a look for the closest box and smiled. That's close:) I'm staying with the pig-owners at the moment.. (The pig moved a while ago and she's not alone anymore:)) We've enjoyed some beautiful sunsets from here! (No-not me and the pigs:D) It didn't took me long to find the cache. There was a bit of water in the container, but the logbook is still in an excellent condition.. I dried everything and left my signature:) I didn't need any technical devices for this one because of the special circumstances.. I used a GPS before, now I have just a tablet. I don't want this cache to be my last one for another two years;) So if anyone can recommend me a good app or whatever I would be really happy:)
