Logs for Gedc

13-Oct-13
Cache has been opened and most appears gone. Put snaplock back together and rehid but may need a visit

12-Oct-13
Found the cache but it appears to have been trashed by someone else. Snaplock container was open on the ground and the log was wet and falling apart. Put back together as best as possible.

Didn't even know this was here and have driven past it for umpteen years. Nice walk from another local cache. This drove the family nuts for about 25 minutes.

We kept on wandering off, checking the co-ordinates and landing back roughly in the same spot in front of the memorial.

Had to sit down a few times and re-read all the clues and past comments, none of which really helped so not going to spoil it in this one.

Was just standing there looking around while the kids and good lady were opening drain covers along the road !!! when I thought..Nah..Can't be..Worth a look.

First 'Dad' find in a while given one of the kids has a homing radar for these things - seriously.. Very chuffed and what a great hide and location.

Don't give up. The find is worth the hunt. Log book was full

Bloke sitting eating his lunch on a Sunday afternoon so we did some other puzzle solving in the car on the IPAD before he wandered off. Took about 15 minutes to find this one. First style of cache like this I've come across. Very nice indeed. Well put together.

Nice puzzle. Good find. Took badge and left badge. Lovely day . Few muggles out cycling but we avoided them.

Went back and revisited after a couple of helpful pointers. Found it and replaced back in the position it should have been in according to the pointers I was given. It had fallen a little from grace.

TFTC. very funny

Spent 45 minutes hunting around without success. GPS took us to under the bridge each time we moved off and back into the area so fairly confident we were in the correct place. Very frustrating. Hope its still there? Lovely and quiet spot

Somewhat tardy dropping off this trackable. Only found out today one of the kids had stowed it amongst our geocache goody bag. Nice location. A few turns in the road to find it .

Dog and owner splashing around in the river. Fabulous area. We have lived about 300 metres from this 'reserve', drive past it at least 3 or 4 times a day and never realised what was hidden behind the trees.

Nice walk. Thanks for the heads up on the playpark/tennis area. As you say, easy to miss.

Swapped a toy.

Short drive and an even shorter walk. Cool hiding place. Found without any trouble. Thanks for the cache

Spent a long time looking around the ' clue ' area. Over, under and into everything but still no joy. We had 5 people trying to find it..Maybe we were at the wrong point !

Went back on day 2 after a little bit of help and realised how we had looked everywhere around it but never actually saw it...Found it within 30 seconds Smile

Great hiding place. Need to think a bit more outside of the box when trying to find caches as they ain't always buried.

Good time up the hill with the kids and rellys from Scotland. Found this one after a few minutes of GPS compass going around in circles.

Nice location and given me an idea for our first cache placing. Thanks again

Cache had been opened and left scattered around. Moved Travelbug into the cache, packed it all back up and hid under a pile of rocks in same spot. Logbook a tad soggy. Could do with a drying or replacing.

Nice views all around though Smile

Found it on second try. Was in the correct space and searching in the wrong type of bush Smile TFTC

Found Travelbug to move on. Nicely hidden cache

17-Dec-10
Great cache. Don't do what we did and walk 25 metres into the brambles. Disengaging 3 kids from the brambles was fun Smile Its as the directions say - around 10m into the bush.

Kids had a ball swapping 3 softies out for 3 back in.

Yay...2nd attempt looking for a cache on Day 1 of our new family sport. 8 year old found it whilst hanging upside down - he does that a lot !

Think we have the bug. TFTC SL

First attempt and first day out playing with my new Garmin Etrex . Tried twice to locate and even with the additional clues I think we found the single tree and stump but no cache. Had 3 kids nearly swimming in their anticipation to find it so either I cant use the GPS or its gone Sad

Should a more experienced hunter be passing please have a shot so I know if its me Smile

Cheers
