Logs for Goannas
07-Sep-24
One of the few we haven't done one our regular run. Unfortunately unable to sign as the lid is broken and the cache is sodden. We had nothing to replace either. Will message CO with photos.

Cache has gone missing. Most disappointing. Disabling until we can find a suitable replacement container.
05-May-24
A quick check located the cache about 1 metre from its intended location but still intact. Replaced where it should be. All good here.
31-Mar-24
Checking cache was still in place after some infrastructure has disappeared. All still ok with the cache.
Coords for Waypoint 2 corrected. Thanks to the cachers who pointed out the error and apologies to anyone who was led astray by them before.

Found today while visiting the cemetery to photograph for our Facebook group. A bit unnerving with the sound of gunfire from the nearby range, but we walked away unscathed. The meat ants were a bigger danger.Could do with a new container as the lid no longer fits properly. TFTC
31-Jan-24
Found it on a cool and dismal day. Not great for sightseeing but good for caching. Coords out by a few metres. TFTC.
30-Jan-24
We visited this gorgeous spot on our road trip up the coast from Eden to Sydney. Mobility issues prevented us getting right down to the pools. Photo is of Mr Goanna with our travelling birds.TFTC

Lovely view today, despite the haze. Here are our travelling birds enjoying the stop. TFTC.

Thanks Snakepitters for alerting us to the fence that's been recently placed. Cache is on public land so it's still fine to access but additional caution may be needed.
30-Sep-23
Took a drive to check on this one. All good here. Everything is in place.
01-Jul-23
Replaced the original container a similar style but not a mint tin. Contains log, writing stick and one small piece of swag from the old container.

Container needs replacement. Will be back up and running ASAP.
18-Feb-23
Replaiced container and log. Beware of snakes if you're out and about. There is plenty of grass and they are active in this heat.
08-Jan-23
Had a good look around the obvious spot and surrounds but couldn't find out today.
02-Oct-22
Apologies everyone for the delay in replacing this one. I will be updating it in the next day or so.
Cache has been replaced. I wasn't able to replicate the original, so the container is different and placed differently.
Coords remain the same.
There is a log book and writing stick, plus a few treasures to restart the collection.

Quick health check. Dropped of some Woollies Lego swag. Replaced cache in original, slightly less visible, location.

Taking our time to take a longer road home than usual. We don't normally do trails but decided to do this one and pop in for a look at Auburn Gorge.
#1 was a fairly find. Cache and log in good condition.
Left a dinosaur sticker and dropped off a travel bug.

Huge storm overnight has water running through the gully so it's not safe to find this cache. Hopefully won't be too long before it's available again.
Just as we re-enabled, we had a huge storm overnight. Road will not be great for a little while again. We don't want anyone getting bogged.

The cache has been relocated at new coords and the road is now accessible.

Thank you to Dora the Explorer who rescued the container from the flood waters and relocated it. We've checked the location and it's most suitable. We've decided to leave it there rather than replace in the original location.
