Logs for Knappling

09-Jul-09
I think this one is gone. I looked for nearly 15 minutes with a friend. We checked every location even remotely implied by the hint.

No luck, even with several helpers.

I looked for a while with no luck on this one. It must be a good hide.

I think I would have found this one, but I was in such a rush to get back to the tour bus that I only had about two minutes to look. It was a good workout to run all the way down and back up to the lookout where the bus was parked.

Found it easily, but unfortunately I dropped the cache as I was replacing it. I'm really sorry that it is gone. I watched it float for a while then sink as a ferry went by. It was too dangerous to try to retrieve it. This is probably the lowest point of my geocaching career and I feel awful about it - I would try to replace it myself but I am visiting from Alaska and I don't have the necessary equipment. The cache is gone, which is entirely my fault because I dropped it and it sank. See my log below for more details. (7/8)

No luck with this one, but I didn't spend very much time and could not seem to get close enough to the location. Maybe I'll give it another shot next time I visit Sydney.

No luck with this one. I looked with help for about 15 minutes before giving up.

First find outside of North America, first find in the Southern hemisphere, and first find in Australia. Hope to find more while I am here. I was about to give up after ten minutes of looking but then I found it - great hide. TFTC! #437

This is my family's flag. Its pole is a piece of driftwood that we brought back from our annual trip to Homer, Alaska. Whenever giving directions to our house, we say "Its the one with the flagpole." The picture is with my GPSmap 76.

The coordinates are accurate within 20 feet.
