Logs for Lockchick

I actually dont recall when I found this it was between end of September and beginning of October 2024. Awesome cameo good effort Im impressed thanks!

TFTC! sometimes all I need and want is a simple little box, something easy to find, this is that. I added a trinket. Many thanks
16-Sep-24
I reckon my maths has never been my strong point and Im out by enough to make me look stalkerish. Ugh. This is right near my new house! I *love* firemen! I have left the sleeping firemen here a painted rock which says words to the effect too

Replaced the cache which was not here no more see the epic note lol Now a much smaller cache youve seen one like this before, its not as unique but it is replaced and ready to go
**LONGEST NOSTALGIC NOTE IN THE HISTORY OF ALL NOTES* They allow 4000 chanceries I couldnt help myself. Promised myself I would not cry though! I am the owner of this here confirmed AWOL & MIA cache. Bit of a bummer its gone actually *sniffle* to anyone else sure yes it was a random, super ugly chunk of concrete waste material but that heavy toad of a rock was my first lovingly handcrafted container and I was proud of the big nugget. I had so carefully drilled a hole and concealed the tin for the log in there, I really was so chuffed to bits with it at the time. Why would anyone make off with the ugly loaf of concrete? The answer is they wouldnt, they probably didnt, for once in their shady lives, whoever they are. LOL These things happen. After all, nug-nug was lounging here with newfound purpose for about four years. If you ask me, thats a pretty exceptional innings for a cache but especially one which was an otherwise useless and unwanted block of concrete. Its probably just been kicked or chucked in to the shallow drain which runs parallel to this road. Im pretty sure I could see it down the embankment but Oh well. Let us not dwell on caches in the past, caches loved & lost. After all its better to have loved caching and lost a cache than to never have known what the love of caching is at all. My second homemade cache container I am super happy to see, is still alive and well, just down the path a way. A chunky top of a bit of fence I found like a kid finding a buck in the gutter man I was so happy with how cube-like it was. I remember running home to make it in to a badly hinged but darling none the less, wooden box just the right size for its job really. Why not go find that one whilst youre here finding this one which I have now replaced. There is a trinket for the first to find the replaced cache too. It says got cache? On one side and from Lockchick on the other. I was learning how to engrave on metal so its a dog tag in the shape of a bone. So random I know. Very rare and highly collectible though Being the only one I ever made

Oh yeah and FYI: the sheet is gone.(All of you people not logging your DNFs will know this already) The council probably does a clean off every few months or something, dunno why they need to be party poopers & take stuff down.I suppose they look tatty after a while. Still council should have left it there ! Mutter mutter
Sigh. Too hard will maybe put this in the same category as Ryan at Mawson Lakes. Perhaps the CO should consider having this independently verified.

Would anyone who owns a ladder & who loves being tormented by nano caches like to come looking for this with me? Call me 0434 626 755
02-Mar-24
I cannot believe how much notice I had for this and I still fell over at the last minute and discovered it sitting there in a message THE DAY AFTER IT WAS ON. Something is broken in me since Dad died I just dont function like I used to. Sniffle. Sorry Frog
08-Dec-23
Friday night and I got an emergency call out to a young mum who was fretting as she found her little ones inside and herself locked outside with the dog when she went to give pooch some water. Thats why I was in Osbourne at 10pm when I usually wouldnt be. And its not that I couldnt find the cache. Its more like . Well, I chickened out. I couldnt even get out of my van and look for it cos I dont know why.I guess my anxiety is beating me. TFTH anyhow

Ok! I shall come. I may bring a trusted grandma muggle friend because I want to see if she thinks her grandies will enjoy caching. See you then

So, I’m am not a noob to this hobby by any stretch and the amount of times I’ve told noobs to read the description before going to GZ to only then have a whinge they don’t have a pen, or a TOTT, or whatever. I max e a mad last minute dash to the nearby bunnings which I had put off all day. Because when I get the thing I bought home I have a fair bit of work to do out in the cold by myself with only spiders for company to assemble said Bunnings purchase and only then does my real hard work begin - no wonder I thought I would procrastinate and get a cache on the way home. So, I did the classic rookie error and picked the closest to me distance wise and regretted it the moment i pulled up and THEN more closely looked at the cache description and attributes *facepalm*
i will be back another time. Thanks anyway for your cache I shall have to procrastinate the procrastination and get another day!

I found this in the last two weeks of November 2022, sorry I forgot to log it and I don’t recall exactly the date either but none the less I can confirm : was no trackable in this cache at that time, fyi. Otherwise in almost plain site at about eye level ️ TFTC! Peeps need to remember to tuck it outta site or slight cammo cover ️
Found easily.
I went for this one for three reasons being
1. Near enough to my place
2. Trackable listed (those who know me will know my cache name could well be trackablechick) and
3. A cacher has requested a SITREP on a trackable.
LOG:
nice hidey spot, clue don’t make no sense now and I reckon it is a bit of cache creep happenin. None the less, good hidey spot choice as the co-ordinates were still a suitable match* thanks for the cache!
TB SITREP:
Negative to any TB here today.
Photo of contents of cache supplied.
Will log according to the link in the note on the cache log asking to do so.
* caching done with an iPhone so that is worth noting if I comment on coordinates being accurate - it’s not accurate enough to place cache using this type of device alone, however I can normally zen-find most cache with the iPhone.

This little thing had been on my list for a while. Thanks for the fresh log. Signed and put back. With squirrel

Second visit second can’t find it for me. That’s not to say it’s not here. I am obviously suffering cache blindness!
I shall return another day.
I shall return another day.

Now, unless I am missing something here - there was not a single trackable in this cache today (which is why I came) but the cache appeared to be in good nick. TFTC!

Hahaha,
Me personally?
I don’t know this feeling as well as dozens of customers who tell me all about it as I am using said wire to fish said keys off the front seats of their car etc since it is my job and of course I have these TOTTS as standard fare in the van but … I see this at 421pm and it says to attempt it daylight hours only. DOH!
That maths means I can’t head straight there for the swoop on FTF what a bummer.
And the next two days for me a crammed with errands and work. Dammit. I won’t be able to get to this for the FTF
I bet someone does go for this outside of hours and Mr Barky Bark might have his moment to shine. Lol.
Nice idea for a cache.
Anyone want to borrow my TOTT, it’s borrowable. I have two. Natch.
I am not gonna have the chance to get to this for the FTF but yes it is a tool you may borrow if you ask nicely.
In my line of work it’s called a (wait for it) “long reach” or an “under the door” tool. Oh yes.
Inventive hey? LOL
Msg me

Bugger! I’m only a skip from here and then I did the right thing and read the whole cache page only to see I need a pole. Oh well! Next time

My nana Faye passed away on 23 June 2022 to be with my recently departed dad (her son) in the place we all go after our time here on this earth.
She was 98.
That’s a solid innings, I gotta admit.
She was born before the Sydney Harbour Bridge was built!
May you rest in peace, Nana.
You inspired me for as long as I can remember.
I love you
️

I don’t know if getting what the hint means would be the difference between the penny dropping for me ….. or not.
I really miss geofriends who I could call excitedly and discuss our theories etc when doing puzzle solves & builds.
10-Jun-22
I stopped in here just to drop off two travel bugs which need to get to England by July this year. I figured this favourite cache would be safe for the trackables and most importantly would be picked up by cachers who are travelling - it is a travel bug hotel after all!
09-Jun-22
I saw two trackables appear in this little cache so decided, as people who know me will confirm, I am the trackable protector of sorts - I get a bit of a kick out of making sure they’re safe! Or in this case, get moved long for a race goal.
Geoparents need to make sure the kids don’t find the redback spider just under this cache!
TFTC! Ps nice tree indeed!

This is one of my big alltime happy memories of when I first arrived here in Adelaide. As a result I am very protective of this. I’ve noticed people reporting that it’s not locked and/or not lockable? Please call on me if you need the lock fixed sneaky ok xx
Could have sworn I logged this one when I found it but apparently not. Found and signed TFTC
Well now. Saw an auction at a house across the road and decided to come find this sucker. Read the hint, it was helpful! Signed the log and put back where I found it. I miss caching. TFTC

After 20mins of searching this for this tricky bugger, I was about to DNF when I decided to risk an ant or a bug in my hair and get a bit closer. Worth it. Signed it and put it back where I found it and how I found it. Clever and simple and I like that. TFTC !
Nup. Not today Cachesphine. Standing spot on the coordinates & I found half of an old possibly truck goofball but that’s about it. I shall try again another day!

Well that’s very interesting.
SA continues to surprise me with all sorts of little history gems (and rocks, LOL) like this.
Thank you for teaching me yet another new thing about this lovely state where I have decided I will settle now that Dad isn’t in Sydney.
Despite knowing Sydney like the back of my hand, I admit i feel relief in letting go of my ties to the Eastern states.
There is comfort in the beauty and the history of this place where I’ve chosen to settle and begin the next chapter/s of my life AD (“after-Dad”)
On Day 1, when I arrived in Jan 2019, it was at a wee B&B cottage amongst the grape vines in Bethany. It had much stuff all over the walls and in books left out on the table boasting proudly about the German settlers’ heritage in the area - and I had no idea!
I have been a like a proverbial learning sponge since then, sucking up as much new info as I can in manageable doses. This is good stuff you’re adding to my newfound awareness of SA.
How is it that I was not even aware SA had a German settler history until I came here?
I blame the egocentric primary school teachers of my youth over in the Eastern States *tut-tut*
Blowed if I can even see a way to start your puzzle let alone solve it! However, I’m not so fussed about that and instead enjoyed learning several new things about slate (“flagging” and mixing it with limestone to make cement, for example) and I find it bewildering as to the sheer quantity of the stuff they moved back then.
So, I just wanted to say thanks for contributing to my learning.
(Oh boy I got through what I wanted to say without making one single clean slate or “tabula rasa” pun. snort!)
TFTPC (thanks for the puzzle cache) !

Aha, found him. Big sucker under some pretty sweet simple cammo! What is that? A chip bowl?
Watch out it is actually … well, an anthill.
I did pick up the trackable from this cache but have moved out of the house I was living in in the meantime. Trackable owners please be patient as i locate your thing to log it officially. There may be a small delay, my life is in boxes. Oh and that’s not a geocache joke. All my trackables are safely in one box except this one, I will find it soon!! It is indeed safe.
TFTC nice view.

Finishing a job late on a locomotive at One Rail near Toll on Vater, I decided to bite the Bob Bullet and actually just attempt the nearest cache - which out here of course is a BFE cache. Three difficulty *i sucked in a sharp breath*
Nailed it, it wasn’t too hard but then I saw where it was taking me and decided that’s for another day!
Interesting reading about I assume your relative ! Very interesting thanks Bob and thanks for updating it for palindrome day!
Here’s a photo of a view from the lock on the train

but it’s a whole 6km away from where I am & I can’t really see me doing the long drive.

Excellent. Sometimes at the end of a particularly stressful week I just want a box under a tree in relative privacy. Thanks for this cache.
I don’t think it needs the “needs maintenance” flag, things were fine enough - paper was cold not wet and it was low ok space in the book but I’ve seen far worse.
This cache was just what I needed!

I bow to the Squeak of Sneak, for his unique container size “?” Is always fun to find
No gecko for me but I did find the cache not a soul to be seen anywhere today a public holiday.
First cache of the new year - may this year suck a lot less than the past year

This is the second DNF attempt on this for me… only this time it’s daylight and this time I have no F to P anymore. Might contact Sir Squeak himself and see if a nudge might help me. Thanks for the cache i am yet to find Squeaky!

Introduced a complete muggle friend to geocaching with this cache. Could’ve picked an easier one! And maybe not on a 39 degree day.
Good ten min search finally found the booty.
TFTC you sneaky cacher Azzo !

Giggled at the word “togs” - that’s wgat I called them as a kid… so it’s either a NSW or QLD term. Either or it made me smile. So did this cache being published and pounced on in Stansbury! Ah Stansbury… you were my motivation to get to know my first Harley Davidson three years ago.. the cache, the FTF which had sat there for weeks until Harley and I showed up dripping wet . Good times.
11-Dec-21
Too good for me today for the second time this one evades me. Nnnghh a hint couldn’t hurt. I stand on he coordinates and I cannot see the cache. Maybe I am blind or not en point
17-Nov-21
Today was my father’s funeral, it was at Matraville.
It was the hardest day of my life. I don’t know why I shared that here, nothing to do with caching. But I can guarantee it will be the only cache I ever do in a dress, a conservative long black dress. Cute hide thanks for the cache and cheering me up today xx

Introduced 2 girlfriends, both total muggles, to this fun game with your cache here - we were returning from an overnight trip to Berri on our magnificent shiny machines with The Bayside HOG (Harley Owners Group) Chapter.
Anyway of course my noob muggle friends spot it before I did, LOL
TFTC.
I spotted the Ernie trackable here today also.

Well let me know if I can help in any way with the build components, necessary material modifications or further (specific) tools like I did last time.
Only too happy to help.

The cache was pretty messed up, container was cracked and full of water so I replaced it best I could. It’s in the same place it was. TFTC
