Logs for Maclir

23-Jan-09
A quick find - it certainly looks like a great place to stop for a picnic.

Thanks for the cache.

As the description says, a pleasant walk with great views - it was a short walk from the car park, and the morning hadn't become too hot - although the beaches looked incredibly inviting.

Thanks for the cache in a lovely location.

No trouble finding the first stage on a drizzly morning - so rather than walk down the track to the final stage, we drove around (and around, and around) trying to find a place close to the final point. Eventually we parked, and walked maybe 600 feet to the location - it would be a lovely walk along the creek on a fine day. No trouble finding the cache.

Thanks for the cache....

Over in the Coffs region from Mississippi, USA visiting my parents. We spent the day exploring Bellingen, Dorrigo and the surrounding area - fantastic scenery. We stopped at the falls for lunch, but half of all the files in NSW were there as well....

I thought I wouldn't be able to search for the cache, as a council worker (or someone) was doing some weed clearing in the area - but the cache was quickly spotted.

Thanks for the cache.

After a day with my parents exploring the hinterland, we stopped at the deep sea fishing club for my wife and mother to chance their luck on teh poker machines. My father and I walked up to the top of the headland, and he found the cache quite quickly. I left a US Quarter...

Thanks for the cache.

It seems that in the last two or three days, a bulldozer has cleared all of the scrub in the area just next to the road. The cache may still be around, but 50 metres below its posted location, and under a huge mound of dirt and other material. We couldn't even take in the view, as the clouds had rolled in.

We are over here in Coffs from Mississippi,USA visiting my parents. After spending some time checking out the sunday morning markets at the Jetty, it was a short drive up to the cache location - and we found the cache quickly.

Thanks for the cache.

After our disappointment at the previous cache site (GCGQQ1 On A Clear Day) the greatly expanded Team Maclir (with parents from Coffs Harbour, cousin from Bathurst, and sister, nephew and niece from Eungai Creek descented on the cache. Tegan (niece) was successful in locating her first cache.

We left a US 10 cent (dime) coin.

We are over here on holidays from Mississippi, USA visiting my parents - so the extended group, including my cousin from Bathurst, and sister, nephew and niece from Eungai Creek searched for this one - a quick and easy find.

Thanks for the cache.

We had a whole group of us - we are over here from Mississippi, USA visiting my parents. We also had my sister and brother-in-law, and their two kids, and a cousin from Bathurst. I managed to get my 12 year olf nephew hooked on geocaching, and Tavis was so excited when he found the cache.

Thanks for having the cache in a lovely location - we stopped in the picnic area for lunch afterwards.

We searched in vain fro about 20 minutes, I suspect this has gone AWOL again. But great views from the lookout.

After an extensive search by all eight of us, the cache could not be found - maybe the troll has eaten it. So we went for pizza and pasta instead.

We are up in Coffs Harbour visiting my parents, over from Mississippi in the USA. The walk up from Diggers Beach is steep - but the views up and down the coast are spectacular. My father spotted the cache- so we took the travel bug, and left a US quarter.

Thanks for the cache, and giving an excuse for a good walk.

This was a trip down memory lane - as a kid our family would stay in Red Rock for our summer holidays during the early 1970's. Now I am living in the USA, but we are over visiting my parents in Coffs Harbour, so a drive up the coast to Red Rock was mandatory.

My father and I enjoyed the walk from the caravan park up to the headland, where we spent some 15 minutes searching for the cache - eventually we found it, and I left a commemorative USA Alabama state quarter.

Thanks for the cache.

We are visiting Coff Harbour from Mississippi, USA, visiting my parents. They wanted to take us up to the lookout to see the view, and we wanted to find the cache. It took some finding; the tree canopy made the GPS receiver a bit unreliable, but some diligent searching eventually paid off.

We left a US quarter - thanks for the cache.
