It appears that there is an interest in finding this cache. WP2 has hopped to an unknown location and needs to be replaced, I dont want prospective finders to not have the joy of locating it.Im taking this cache out of the game until I can squeeze in some time to replace it.

It’s a public place, nothing I can do about those that drop hypodermic needles around. Best advice I can give is “ don’t pick them up and play with the pointy end”
Leather gloves are cheap and should be included in the kit for any cacher that intends to put their hands in dark places.

Shrubbery grows, gets cut back and grows again. The waypoint is there and will stay unless someone blows up the rock.

I brought the car in for service and took the opportunity to wander around the area a bit while waiting.
The cache container wasn’t closed completely so the contents are damp and the log book is on its last legs.
The misbehaving clip can be locked in place by pushing it against a hard object.

A message from the lizard alerted me to a pending trip to this cache, along with an invitation to come along. After getting up at some unearthly hour I awaited the lizard's arrival. We motored to Cowan and then trained to Wondabyne station.
After an interesting trip we arrived at the station where, GPS's at the ready, we ventured into the unknown. We followed a well trodden track until the contour line we crossed matched that of the cache.
We picked our way across the untracked wasteland, aiming for a place that evoked memories of other hound dog caches.
Intuition was correct and soon there was before us a classic Hound Dog container. The container was opened and the contents examined with awe. We had found a 2002 cache with an original log book still in use!
We signed the log book and gazed at early pages, remembering the names so often seen in cache logs 18 years ago.

Continuing up the hill to the end of the firetrail where we passed a single hike tent the lizard and I strolled along the rock strewn track discussing things of no consequence. It was only after the spotted some female members of the species stopped ahead that we realised the arrow was pointing to our rear. We quickly reversed direction, retracing our steps and being mindful of the landscape the found a location there the direction indicated by the arrow coincided with an easy access to the land.
Not to bore you with the details I'll jump ahead and say we came across a large container containing a variety of objects including a couple of log books.
As the instinct when finding a container containing a logbook in the bush is to sign said log book, we both did so before replacing it in the container and the container back to where we found it.
