Logs for TommeGun

04-Apr-12
Sounds like the log is now full. I am away for awhile so if the next cacher could download, print and cut out a log sheet, http://www.techblazer.com/wp-content/uploads/Geocaching-Log-Sheet-0.5-inches-Color-Logo-Refill.pdf , and take it with them to replace the full log, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!!!

The posted coordinates take you to the first stage which is located at the north end of the lake.

Out with Quadwrays for some morning caching before it got hot. QW beat me out of the car and had cache in hand before I could get there. TFTC!!!

Out with Quadwrays for some morning caching before it got hot. Nice easy find before the heat of the day. Nice placement! TFTC!!!

Out with Quadwrays for some morning caching before it got hot. We made a quick grab when we actually found where GZ was. Interesting placement but a fun one. TFTC!!!

Out with Quadwrays for some morning caching before it got hot. We looked for a minute or so and I grabbed the most obvious thing. TFTC!!!

Out with Quadwrays for some morning caching before it got hot. We almost needed pliers to get the container open, but we prevailed. TFTC!!!

A friend of mine from Irland ,that I met while wotking in Vietnam, was in town so I took him out to see the sights. We saw the "cattle drive" walked all around and took lots of pictures and finally came over to Billy Bob's for a beer. I couldn't pass this cache up as we were SO close it. Thanks for a great time!!!

Solved it today but doubt that I'll ever make it the 9121.4mi from my home to grab the cache. Fun puzzle though, thanks!!!

CoolFind 2100Cool This was a VERY cool cache. It started by trying to find out what was swinging on a pole. Your were right, you'll know it when you see it and IT was a lot of fun to watch. Next, as the Tropical Storm Mathew soaked the area, we sheltered at a great place to eat and dring. We had wonderful food and cheap beers which was a really nice change. Then it was off to the ruins. The ruins were, as expected, very interesting and the views spectacular. Thanks for bring us to this place!!!

Made the grab after thinking about the hint for a while. I had been right by it for 10 minutes when my eye caught something. Thanks for the very nice hide and for bring me to this location. I didn't have time for the museum (although I really wanted to explore it) since I was on a cache quest in a new city. TFTC!!!

I thought that this was going to be tough with all the muggles, but the placement was great. This was a nice easy find and I introduced a couple of prospective cachers to the excitement. TFTC!!!

I don't know what "so morgan" found, but it wasn't this cache. There is NO way that you can stand in the grass next to this cache as it is in a lake.

I think that I found the worst tour of Ha Long Bay that is available. It sure looked good on paper (internet) but it sure lacked. We were supposed to go to a floating village, but we didn't. We were supposed to go kayaking, and almost didn't. We were supposed to have a great hotel on Cat Ba, but we didn't. I asked about these rocks and they said that the 3 day cruise would not go by them. At this point I got angry and insisted that we go. Luckily we passed by them on our way back in and I could see them in the distance. Just like all the pictures but a lot smaller than I expected. My cruise might have been bad, but the scenery was spectacular! Thanks for bringing me here and for the great information which the tour 'guide' did not provide.

This is one hard cache, especially with a badly sprained ankle. My family and I were on a 3 day 2 night tour of the bay and Cat Ba island and I couldn't pass up this opportunity. After touring Surprise cave, we went to the kayak area where they explained that they didn't have enough paddles and it happened that my family didn't get them since we were last off the boat because of my ankle. I finally got a kayak by myself and my son and wife followed me out to the cache. Even with my ankle, my son and I crawled all over the rocks where the coordinates put us and finally made the grab. Make sure to bring an extraction tool. Thanks for the great diversion in a beautiful area. TFTC!!!

I took a second trip to the bay with some friends on 2 October and decided to check on the cache. Still there in good condition and I left a pathtag for the next finder.

Thanks for a second time to get this cache...
