We checked this area out over Christmas and it is still closed to the public, so we cannot replace it at this stage.
This area is still not in very good shape to take a replacement cache. We will keep an eye on what happens in the area before we make a call on what to do.
12-Dec-20
We will be checking this cache out over the Christmas Break to see if the area is open again.

Cache relocated due to the damaging fires.
Cache finally replaced and enabled following the 2019-2020 Dunn's Road Bushfire.
Tried to replace this cache today, but the area is still closed off after the bushfires. It looks as though there are building some nice new amenities here too, so it should be lovely when re opened
Tried to replace this cache today, but there is still some clearing going on in the area after the bushfires earlier in the year. We will come back shortly to see how things are then.

Our current plan is to reactivate this cache in around 4 weeks from now, as we are now allowed to travel more freely, and we can now also start to sort out the issues with our burnt property in Batlow.
Our apologies for the delay.

Thanks for your patience with this cache tiddalik - it has suffered a double whammy, with the bushfires in the area in January & now the COVID-19 travel restrictions. As you have stated, as soon as it is safe for us to get to the cache we will do so & work out the best plan of attack from there.

With the restrictions being in place for COVID-19, we have been reluctant to venture into this part of Cronulla in case we cause issues with the local rules that have been in place. We do intend to replace this cache & will endeavour to get in to do so as soon as possible, without causing concerns for the health & police authorities.

At this stage, the area is still recovering from the damage due to the bush fires & we do not wish to put undue pressure on the immediate area until such time that we can be sure that more damage won't be caused to the environment through caching. We will continue to monitor the situation & provide updates until such time that the cache can be reinstated.
Thanks for your patience.

My apologies for not attending to this cache. We actually did try a couple of times, but could not do what was required due to the high muggle activity.
We will set about getting this cache active again ASAP, and provide updates as requested.

Due to the fires that have recently torn through the area, we are disabling this cache until we can get into the area to see if it still exists.
We will do this as soon as practical, as it is still unsafe to enter the area.
