Easily found. Thanks for the cache.

08-Jan-13
It appears the cache has gone walkabout. Will replace on our next visit.

01-Jul-11
Now live over 4 hours away from the cache, so getting back there isn't that easy.

Will get back there one day, plus a lot of redevelopment going on in the cache area which was once just bushland is now being being turned into an industrial estate, so wanting to see where things finish before setting the cache again.

See: http://www.nearmap.com/?q=Cache%[email protected],115.875410&ll=-32.094355,115.876654&z=17&t=h&nmd=20110420 And scroll back through time.

07-Nov-10
It looks like redevelopment of the Geocache area is continuing unabated with loads of natural bush and unfortunately the Geocache falling victim to the bulldozers.

We will endeavour to hunt down a new site in the area and replace the Geocache in the near future.

Thanks to everyone who informed us of the loss of this site.

Second visitor to the cache today. Easy find and nice place.

TNLNSL

Thanks for the cache!

20-May-08
Been up here before to admire the view. Certainly a great view that you could never get tired of!

Found the cache fairly easily after looking around and thinking there couldn't be too many places it would be! Certainly put a good amount of work into hiding the cache - you wouldn't even pick it was there!

TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache!

18-May-08
Cache has possibly gone "walkabout".

We are organising a search party and hope to have something back up soon!

16-May-08
Spotted that this cache was nearby and went for the hunt. Not much chance of muggles being near this cache! Cache easily found with the help of the spoilers. TNLNSL TFTH.

New log book added.

Thanks to all previous visitors for your comments and for finding us!

Hi Andrew,
Tried the update co-ordinates function last night when posting the new location, unfortunately received the following error message;

"The new coordinate is too far away from the original. Please check your coordinates to make sure they were entered correctly. If you made a mistake with your coordinates please contact reviewer to make the change for you." (Although we have only shifted about 500 metres)

Message was sent to the reviewer, but now just waiting for the change to be made.

Apologies to Silama, but this was beyond our control. Hope you enjoyed the visit and will try again with the new co-ords.

04-Mar-07
Team VK6JRC went to return 'Winging It' cache to its home today and found that the bushland had been cleared to make way for the Jandakot City development (www.jandakotcity.com.au). It is sad to see so much natural bushland cleared and not a single tree left standing.

We found another location very close by and have relocated the cache here. Hopefully 'Winging It' will be safe here from the bulldozers and other heavy earthmoving equipment.

New co-ordinates: 32 05.716 S & 115 52.483 E

Photos of the new location will be posted soon.

The cache has been cleaned up and has a heap of new goodies in it. If you know our caches, you will know we have some good merchandise in them...!

Can we suggest that reference to the "main road" be changed to Hamilton Road? We don't appear to be the only ones getting lost out here and stumbling onto private property

We were visiting Denmark for the town markets and thought we'd do a quick Geocache on our way to Mt Barker.

We spent a lot of time looking for the water pipe on the edge of the main road - which we assumed was Scotsdale Road, but after some period of time we found our way to Howe Road. There was our next adventure - up driveways and tracks trying to make some sense of the directions. We eventually found the water pipe and the track up Mt Leay on Hamilton Road.

By the time we finally arrived, we were running late and had to be on our way to Mt Barker. Had a quick look at the view, but didn't venture into the bush as the directions had already led us astray too many times.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your message. The cache is ready to go back in, but we just haven't had the time to take it back to site. We are tied up for the next couple of weekends with the Xmas rush, but will hopefully have it back in before the end of the year.

Regards,

Easy find, nice place for a Sunday picnic.

Took: Compass
Left: Pen, card and Geocoin

Got within a few feet of the cache and could see it behind the rocks, but there were LOTS of muggles in the area watching us fossick around. A couple of them even asked us if we were orienteering - we told them yes we were to keep them off the scent!

Cache sighted, but unfortunately couldn't check inside the cache - however we will claim it as a find. Took nothing, left nothing, log not signed.

Cache was easily located. Nice spot and views. Area is well catered for with tables & toilets.

Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

05-Oct-06
Just taken the Geocache home for a bit of maintenance and a cleanup. Will be back soon!

01-Jun-06
Tidied up the cache and moved the Geocoin on to a new destination.

Visited the cache for a tidy up & restock.

14-Apr-06
Visited cache to check it out.

Emptied out the sand & seeds and added some more goodies!

Great to see many people are finding this cache.

05-Feb-06
Called in to Lake Matilda on our way back to Perth from Albany. Like others who have been here before us, we made our way through the spider web and double gee prickles. Long trousers and closed shoes may be a suggestion and leave the geohound in the car! Smile

The co-ords posted were a little out with my GPS. After hunting around for a little while at GZ, we noticed the trampled grass at the other end. My final cords were 34.25.884S & 117.34.210E. Not too far out in the end!

Cache is in good condition.

Took nothing, left nothing, signed logbook.

Logged this cache on the way back from Albany.

Very easy cache - we were almost able to log this one without getting out of the car!

Good spot for a cache and glad we could log it.

Took nothing, left nothing, signed logbook.

04-Feb-06
Cache set.

Our second try at this cache.

Went back and re-read the cache entry, then took the advice to take a seat at cache GZ and think about it!

After a short search we located the cache. Lots of muggles in this area!

As others have noted, the TB is missing from this cache.

We took nothing, left nothing & signed the log book.

We have also set 2 of our own caches nearby this weekend. ("Bayside at Middleton" and "Straight Talk by Joe Swallow".)

15-Jan-06
Romping Roo Travel Bug left. Hopefully some other kangaroos will visit from the bush nearby!

01-Jan-06
Located cache around 2.20pm, our second cache for 2006.

Nice easy one for us. Parked the car a short distance away and walked in almost a straight line to the cache. Found the cache after a short hunt around the usual hiding spots.

Nice new cache in good condition with lots of goodies inside!

Took: Travel Bug & LED torch
Left: Binoculars & box of tissues
Signed the log

Our first cache for 2006 and third time lucky on this one and we finally managed to nail it!

With some assistance from a friendly Geocacher, we decrypted the co-ords and headed off. Thank you and without your assistance we'd have got nowhere!

At the cache site, we parked with a few hundred metres of GZ. A short walk through the bush and a short hunt around at the end and the cache was located.

(I'd recommend long pants and closed shoes on this cache so you don't end up with scratched legs and black feet like me!)

Took: Tape measure
Left: Toy & pouch
Signed Log

Visted at 3.00pm on 1 Jan 2006. Our 3rd cache for 2006!

Easy walk in to GZ and a bit of a look around located the cache in good time.

Cache is in good condition and we even found a friendly spider in the bag the cache is wrapped in.

Took: Nil
Left: Travel Bug
Signed Logbook.

Visted 3.20pm, 01/01/2006. Our 4th cache for the day and for 2006.

A short walk up the access road and we were in GZ in no time at all. A look around the usual rocks and crevices located the cache.

Views from this cache are superb!

Left: Toy & Sunglasses
Took: Travel Bug
Signed Logbook.

26-Dec-05
Found this one quite easily around 2.15pm, 26.12.2005. Cache was about a 150m walk from the carpark. A few muggles around during the day.

Left: Rex the Travelbug & Tigger toy
Took: Binoculars to make some room in the container.
Signed the log.

Visited this cache around 4.15pm, 26/12/2005. Tree and cache were both located quickly and with relative ease.

Left: Lanyard & Zip Pouch
Took: Nothing
Completed Log

11-Dec-05
Found this one quite easily and it was just a short walk from the car!

The hints and photos made it simple enough.

Left: Soft toy, notepad & lanyard
Took: Romping Roo and Riley's Toys #3 Rex. Will relocate them soon.

We were in the area looking for PaddyK Cache 006 and also had the co-ords for this cache which came up when we were walking back to our car.

Had a look in the area that the GPS was indicating as GZ, but couldn't find anything. The clues & hints were a bit abstract and confusing (again! Smile

As the rain was approaching and we had little chance of getting anywhere with this we we abandoned hope!

Went to the initial co-ords and found a food place (lunch bar) almost at the very spot...? Funnily enough, my car also gets serviced in almost the very same spot!

No matter how hard or abstract we thought about things, the name didn't give us any clues to unscramble the "huk, tuk, luk, muk" co-ords. Without them we had no chance of getting any further and abandoned the mission.

Any hints for us luckless geocachers?

Found our way to the posted co-ords OK, even if we did walk the long way around the lake.

At the spot the GPS was showing as GZ had a good look around and found a paperbark tree, with inside the trunk hollowed out by fire. Muggles were nearby erecting the huge powerpoles.

The paperbark tree had a metal hook screwed inside up the trunk, but no signs of any caches. Had a bit more of a look around, but couldn't see anything that resembled a cache.

Were we in the wrong spot or could the cache be missing?

07-Dec-05
We were visiting Mt Barker and decided to give this cache a go.

Found the cache quite easily - co-ords were pretty spot on. Fortunately no snakes in the area today!

Filled in the log book, took nothing - left nothing.

05-Dec-05
I only had the GPS co-ords for this one, no hints on what we were looking for! Sad

We found our way to the shelter OK then hunted around the shelter and under the walkway, but couldn't see anything that resembled the usual looking cache - From the previous visitors, did we miss something obvious about this cache?

Will be back down in Albany in Feb 2006, will take a look again then.

04-Dec-05
We revisited this cache today.

Managed to find it without the GPS.

The cache does need some maintenance - mainly disposing of the tins of tuna as they have all rusted and some new goodies inside.

Found this cache quite easily. Co-ords were spot on.

A bit windy and wintery, but the view all round was magic!

Took a stubbie holder and left a pin brooch.

01-Jul-05
We were looking for something to break the boredom of the loooong drive from Kununurra to Derby and found the Erehwon cache.

The cache took a little bit of time to find, as I had the wrong co-ord's to start with and ended up looking in a nearby creek bed! Once I had the correct co-ord's we managed to navigate back to the cache hiding spot and found it quite easily.

Cache is in good condition. We left a pen and took the pack of map pins.

It would be good to see a few more caches along the highway to break up the journey!
