A lovey walk in the shadow of the stones with Terry and it was a quick find. TFTC

The sun came out as Terry and I arrived and it looked wonderful if the slight winters mist.

Thanks for a great cache at a historical site. Email sent

We dedicate this to our friends The Freelanders who encouraged us to tackle this and whose guiding hand was so helpful.

Often described as the best cache in Rome it certainly is. We cant say too much about it but we went to places which werent on our visiting list. TA got side tracked to a huge market near one place!

Thanks for a memorable cache. We so enjoyed it.

TFTC

PS Jim and Jill went up the hill not once, not twice but three times!!!!!!!!

12-Sep-07
We were at the Zoo at 9.30am, prepared to pay but no it was free for us. We ZOOmed off to the cache and soon found it and its all in good order. Signed the log and then enjoyed looking at the animals. TFTC

We had passed by the day before and there were hundreds of glass balls? We wondered why. On our return they were all in black plastic sacks. Why? Anyhow, we soon had the cache and signed the log. What a place of history. TFTC

I was pleased to join the team to complete the final part of the cache. I started it with another group but they couldn’t progress it. For members of the team can I say that it’s a wonderful spot for a cache, even when I signed the log today at 12.30pm it was blowing a gale, pouring with rain and very - very muddy!!!

John and Di are to be congratulated and on a very original cache and I am sure we would like to entertain any of the team who visits this area.

I am making contact with a partner and have now registered it?

The famous Portland Bill lighthouse, in Dorset, UK, which we have seen for years but never, visited before.

It was a lovely spot and worthwhile a visit.

04-Jul-05
We spent a long time searching but I have a feeling that its been taken.

Looked in the oblivious place but neither of us could find it.

The position of this lighthouse in Brixham, Devon, UK is stunning.

It must be a quarter of a mile walk to the lighthouse along the breakwater and it seems that you are walking through the middle of the sea.

It was a cold wind the day we visited.

05-Feb-05
Don’t know a lot about this dam. It’s a huge lake near a cache! On the Fonthill Estate with lots of lovely footpaths to enjoy. Not far from Salisbury, Wilts,UK

It was a grey old day but the water was crystal clear. Lots of birds about.

19-Jan-05
The interesting point of this bridge is that it has two lanes of traffic and shops on both sides. Look carefully at the picture and you will see that the old bridge still exists and the new one was just put on top of it.

The bridge is is Lyme Regis, Dorset, UK

One of the great English poets who was born in Ottery St Mary, Devon, UK on the 21 October 1772 and died in London on the 25 July 1834

The plaque is on the beautiful church of Ottery St Mary and the family house is nearby where his descendants still live.
