Logs for darkath11

27-Apr-19
I'd just like to thank NepeanCacher & the Geocaching community for supporting this GC.
I no longer Geocache and hence am grateful to you all for supporting each other and the GC'ing community in maintaining the Headland caches.
NepeanCacher did find the correct location to re-instate the GC, happy hunting all!

Thanks for the rude log Bindair Dundat, since your attempt today with Purple was the first didn't find recently, and if you'd read prev finds, its an eclipse tin now, not a mocona jar?, you might do well to not order the cache owner around with demands like maintenance and archive it thanks.
Whenever I'm in Evans I do check the cache, and I always go out there when either my Headlands southern or northern caches are logged as DNF or ill post if I'm unavailable to do so.
I'm currently working full time so rest your ungratefull booty, when I'm free this upcoming weekend ill check up on the cache and fix anything broken or missing. Smile

08-Oct-15
Checked as I said I would, all is fine.

17-Jan-15
Back in situ right where it was first put, please don't put it back "in a slightly harder spot" ect guys I'm assuming that's why it was lost in the first place Smile
Peace.

Hey so it is missing unfortunately, I'm in coffs so will replace later this week

28-Dec-14
Hey everyone, i had a quick check and couldnt find it myself last monday, ill have a deeper inspection asap again, as i know a few cachers have moved my cache slightly, as annoying as it is... if i cant find it after my next inspection, i have a spare container to replace it with.
Peace

26-Apr-14
Sup guys im at uni and will be home within the week for work, will fix during this time.

29-Dec-13
Dam, thats a bugger Fergclan, good luck with the hunt next time you're in Evans anyway Smile

23-Dec-13
Hey everyone, Merry Christmas, Congrats to all for finding this cache, and just in time for christmas I am in prep to finally place the second cache i have planned for the headlands. Headlands (Northern Views) will hopefully soon be published this time taking you down a different path and giving you all another great vista of the coast from the beautiful Evans Head.
Thanks all

Although archived, of which i am strongly contesting, the cache is still in its location (post-movement and coords change) so anyone looking here wishing to find this cache, it is still in situ, on public land, so feel free to go searching, note: stay away from the 4WD track opposite the gatesas this is where some cranky old man has been harrassing cachers.

Happy Caching

17-Dec-13
Net88 I a done with being civil, I will be blunt, the cache was moved well away from the first location, away from the land this man supposedly owns. Anyone still having troubles from this maniac has every right to notify the police, i have lived in this plce all my life and its rediculous that anyone is out there living, the nearest house is at least 200 meters away on the opposite side of the IG estate.
And to get facts straight the 'sooking' wast the man threatening us, it was about people refusing to enjoy this location such as yourself and captan terror, and continuing to ruin my ex[erience as a cacher and hider in this location.
Do NOT complain to me if you are unhappy with this man and his metal pole, call the local authorities?
Even as a child we would all go to iron gates when we were bored and spend hours there, this person apparently in residence is VERY new, with all the problems with iron gates when it was in development it was put into the banks hands due to money owned, no one can afford to purchase and regenerate the site, in other words no one legally has the land or can legally live there, so lets all show initiative and do something about it maybe...
Thanks

As per some less than fun sooking recently regarding this Cache, I have also increased the difficulty to reinforce that the gate itself is the host for the cache and coords, to state this simply, the gate is set as the Coords and the gate is so large it spans a few degrees of coords, If you want an easy cache just to increase your found count then dont come for this one, any caches placed by Darkath11 are more challenging in one way or another to add further excitement to the GC experience.
I might remind fellow cachers that the cache would not have been published and listed if it didnt follow the guidelines set down for us.
Thanks

15-Dec-13
Hey guys, just checked up on the cache, everything is fine, i did however, MOVE the CACHE to the opposite breadth of the gate still the same distance from the Coords so they wont need changing, also to note, the coords are set at the centre of the gate simply to make it more challenging, you do not need to cross the gates.
Hopefully this should save cachers from that cranky old man and his metal pole. Thanks everyone.

haha to locals like me, the name of the cache was enough of a clue to walk down the hill to pick this one up straight away, good fun, tftc

As I suspected after re-checking it (again) it has been moved/ removed,
as this is a very busy location especially over summer I may not replace the eclipse mint container (cache) untill some of the tourists leave,
im assuming, as it was a newish looking container, that it ended up in a bin by a muggle...
Sorry Guys, D11, will replace as soon as it is reasonably safe to do so...

17-Dec-12
Yes I used a glass moconna coffee jar only because it has a tighter seal and in an area like this in Evans is safe to do so, and is much momre durable, in more-so urban / utilised areas plastic is a must, but this spot it seemed appropriate.

12-Dec-12
still here, due t public location have been keeping an eye on it, will go down tomorro to double check Smile

11-Sep-12
trying to get better coords, will officially update when i can but -29.111978,153.433784 according to google maps is where it is... will re-do coords with gps next time im down there.
-D11

I set the coords when I put the cache down so on my devices it is correct. On one of my friends devices it put it 100yards further south so it devends on your gps device as to where you are placed, but it is at the surf club not actually in the scrub.

Correct FergClan, as well as having the greenies and the land's native owners on their backs which didnt help, imagine how different this area would be with 2x the population in Evans...
Just saw all the bad spelling and stuff in the details, ill fix them up as soon as school holidays start when ill have a bit of extra time on my hands.
