Cache Log:
We were fortunate to link up with 2nd Son and Strait Cash on the way out to this cache. It provided a good distraction for the mosquitos [:o)]. Nah- Seriously though, it was a good hike discussing some of the oldest caches across the country with a couple of cachers just as crazy as we are (and you just DON’T find that very often). The journey back seemed so much quicker since we actually knew where the trail was on the return [:p]. Thanks for helping us to put another state’s oldest cache in the bag [^]! Fav Point from me for the adventure with new caching friends !
Day 8 Log:
We started our day with the rising sun (again [8)] in the heart of Spring City . We just needed a bit of daylight to complete our targets in the area and then we were on the way to Potters Pond . Once we had the state’s oldest knocked out, we had officially achieved all of our major goals for this trip [^]. With the better half of the day still in front of us, we checked into our hotel in SLC and then walked around the capitol area until well after dark [|)]. We enjoyed a couple of local brews, grabbed a tasty burger for dinner, took part in a few nearby raids, and reveled in what we had done in the last 8 days. We went to sleep soft and snug in our hotel with 41 finds to help wish us sweet dreams : 16 Letterboxes, 12 Virtuals, 8 Traditionals, 5 Earthcaches, and 2 Benchmarks !
Adventure Log:
Found with inxtricablfate (IXF) on a 9 day road trip through the NorthWest part of the US . We started our adventure in Salt Lake City (SLC), Utah (UT) and journeyed in a counter clockwise loop for just shy of 3,300 miles before finally making it back to start [8]. Our trek took us through the Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming (WY); Helena and Missoula in Montana (MT); Coeur d’Alene and Boise in Idaho (ID); Spokane and Kennewick in Washington (WA); Pendleton and La Grande in Oregon (OR); and Ogden and SLC in UT [^]. Along the way we visited the oldest active caches and remaining CAA caches in WY, MT, ID, and UT and the state capitols in MT and ID .
Each day on the road brought us plenty of adventure and entertainment ! The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone in WY, of course, offered us a full day of enrichment via virtuals and earthcaches [^]. MT provided a vast, beautiful open sky full of stars for us to enjoy and my single closest call on a CAA find (or most any other find, for that matter [8)]). ID gave us a very fun morning spent around Boise , which contrasts vastly with the afternoon a couple days before spent driving loops through the mountains trying to reach Camels Prairie Stash in Boundary County [xx(]. WA welcomed us warmly with a happy fanfare into Spokane and shed a silent tear for our passing once we shot out Kennewick [|)]. We mostly just passed through OR uneventfully, though we did take a few extra mins out of the schedule on our stop through Pendleton [8]. Having the most time in UT to play with on the back half, we showed a little more love to the state than we had in the past, wandering leisurely around the capitol area in addition to our jaunt through the state to track down the oldest and the long awaited CAA #50 [^]!
It was a very fun trip that covered a lot of miles and a lot of goals : 4 state’s oldest, 4 CAAs, 55 new DeLorme pages, and 48 new counties . IXF and I took over a lot of Pokemon gyms along the way (maintaining 20 at virtually all times), conducted 4 and 5 star raids every day, slept as little as humanly possible, played as much as we could manage, enjoyed the reading of “The Eye of the World” by Robert Jordan on audio book, and found geocaches at just about every place we stopped . By the time we returned to the SLC airport on the final day we had made a grand total of 311 finds, which includes 135 Traditionals, 95 Virtuals, 30 Earthcaches, 30 Letterboxes, 16 Mysteries, 3 Multis, 2 Webcams, and 25 Benchmarks (not in total) [^].

Cache Log:
Yahoo – The oldest in Arkansas [^]! I expected this one would be a little tougher to get to, but was very happy to see that I was dead wrong [:o)]. Star Wars Lego dude in the cache so I swapped him out for a toy truck. Also traded out several TBs while I was here and then took a few pics to mark the occasion . TFTC Ed Normandy [|)].
Day 4 Log:
We took a much needed nap [|)] for a couple hours in front of the MO capitol building (RIGHT in front of it ) and then woke up with the sun to start the day off on the right foot ! We enjoyed a brief tour of the capitol grounds, all to ourselves [:o], and then got on the road toward Memphis [^]. Our route was a mostly straight shot south right up until we made it about 20 miles north of Little Rock [8]. Since we’d already been through AR’s capitol on our trip a couple of years ago, we skipped it by and turned directly east, running through Searcy on the final jump of the day into Memphis . I kind of wish we would have had a little more time (or daylight) to work with in Memphis, but we just can’t fit everything we want to do into the plan . Oh well, at least it gives us a reason to visit again on a future trip [^]. By the time we reached Cook Out for dinner and our hotel for some sleep [|)] we made a total of 56 finds, including 45 Traditionals, 6 Earthcaches, 4 Virtuals, 1 Mystery, and 8 Benchmarks !
Adventure Log:
Found with inxtricablfate (IXF), skeletor10 (SK10), and memomls on a 6 day road trip through TN, KY, IN, IL, MO, AR, and MS . Our goal for the trip was to take 4 separate sections of counties on our map and run the finds between them from county to county until we had successfully connected all 48 contiguous states [^]. Our route started off in Nashville, TN; meandered north toward Louisville, KY; cut west to St. Louis, MO; took a round-about way into Jefferson City, MO; shot south to Searcy, AR (just north of Little Rock); and finally back east into Nashville through Memphis, TN and Tishomingo, MS [|)]. In 5 days we covered more than 2200 miles, averaging about 440 miles per day with 50-70 finds each day . Despite staying around the Nashville area the last (half) day, we still tacked on an additional 200 miles, rounding us out at 2400 miles in just 6 days time [:o] [:o]!
Since this is the only road trip we took this year that was not focused on completing a specific state (i.e. WV and LA) we had some flexibility to play with our route to make it bring us right where we wanted to go . This enabled us to finally track down the Cache Across America (CAA) finals in KY and MS; visit the state capitol buildings in KY and MO; and locate the oldest in KY, TN, and AR. Not only that, but we were able to spend quite a bit of time on the freeways / highways, rather than the winding country backroads, so for the most part we made great time enroute from stop to stop [8].
Thanks to the combined efforts and specialties of our caching crew for this trip, we executed a relatively flawless trip (minus the day 1 timing hiccup ) and maximized our time [^]. I glued myself to the driver seat and got us to each find quickly and safely . IXF took the co-pilots chair to manage the navigation and overall trip timing, working through the frustration whenever I ignored his directions . SK10 kept his phone at the ready to provide supplemental satellite imagery whenever we needed a bird’s eye view of a GZ . Memomls took on the mantle as our scribe, keeping our social media accounts actively tagged and sending answers to COs whenever we completed an earthcache or virtual. Because of this awesome team dynamic we managed to secure a whopping 340 Total finds for the trip, including 225 Traditionals, 54 Virtuals, 27 Mysteries, 26 earthcaches, 4 Multis, 2 Letterboxes, 1 WherIGo, 1 Webcam, and 46 Benchmarks [|)]. A big thanks to each of the COs who hid the many caches we found on this extended weekend adventure .

Cache Log:
Just one more find in Meigs County [)]. Ya’ know, since we’re already over here and all [:p]. We also always appreciate a trip into a local cemetery, so this was just hitting the right buttons with us [^]. Quick find once we reached GZ and then we continued the journey, back into WV . TFTC The Spauntaneous Life !
Day 5 Log:
After waking up in the hotel’s “social experiment” room, we all thawed out on a drive around the Charleston area, picking off some of the cooler caches in the area . Sure, it was raining and we were wet until about lunch, but it was still much better than going back to that room ! Compared to the first 4 days of the trip, today’s roads were a very welcome change of pace. Not nearly as steep, not nearly as windy, and several of them had speed limits worth meeting . We took a little longer on the route than expected, but it was not a problem given the timing of day 6 . We ended up stopping for a nap at about 4 AM when we hit the transition point into the final day of the plan [)].When the clock rolled over at 12 AM I clocked our daily total at 47: 41 traditionals, 2 mysteries, 1 earthcache, 1 webcam, 1 multi, 1 letterbox , and 7 benchmarks . Just need to power through 1 more day [^]!!
Adventure Log:
Found with inxtricablfate (IXF), Skeletor10 (SK10), and SCGeoNinja (Ninja) on a 6 day caching road trip through the mountains of WV . My goal is to complete at least 1 state’s county and DeLorme challenge every year [8]. Given our current progress along the east coast and limited time to take on a larger state this year, we opted to continue the fun with WV, flying into PIT then running a clockwise loop around WV . Well, as clockwise as you can get when literally every road is another winding mountain adventure . SK10 opted in without hesitation since it would put him into Ohio (1st time caching there) and SCGeoNinja was A-OK with linking up with us for the trip as long as he was not required to do anything except finds caches for us [8)] (totally cool with me, but I guess I should have specified showing up on time ).
The journey was not what I had anticipated, but it certainly ended up as a memorable experience just the same . Right away we started off with hurdles to overcome since Ninja failed to make our flight time (by like 5 minutes [:o]), setting the caching clock by 4 hours [B)]. Balance our now inflexible schedule against the bad weather that stuck around most of the weekend and now you have our team out hiking a few miles along the mountain trail at 2 AM, just soaking in the rain [xx(]. Certainly memorable [)]! Oh well, though we did not dry out that day, we did eventually shake it all off and the caching continued to roll forward regardless [:p]. Once we had caught up on the time from that misadventure, we did not do too bad pacing the rest of the trip. In fact, we even managed to squeeze in an extra hotel stay at a critical juncture, which ended up being my personal highlight of the entire trip (despite the fact that I barely used the hotel room ).
Our winding loop through WV brought us back through 52 of 55 counties and 43 DeLorme pages, leaving out only what we all already had on the far east side of the state from previous trips into WVTim land . Along the way we did quick hops in MD, VA, OH, and a wrap up in PA on the “long” way back to PIT [)]. Our poor rental started off at 2,453 miles and clocked back in at 4,772, totaling 2,319 miles in just 6 days [:o]. Yeah… I feel bad for it (but only a little ) in light of the ~400 miles per day I averaged on some pretty rough mountain roads [^]! We closed the trip with a total of 254 caches, including 198 traditionals, 20 Mysteries, 20 Earthcaches, 7 Multis, 4 Letterboxes, 2 Webcams, 2 Virtuals, 1 Wherigo, and 16 benchmarks (not counted in the total). A huge thanks to all of the COs who hid caches along the way to make this epic journey possible !!!!!

Cache Log:
We came down here today for the express purpose of locating this cache [^]! We just love tracking down the oldest in each state we explore . We kind of lucked out too that today was a no fee day . We took our sweet time, strolled in casually, and made the find in short order . Definitely a spot worthy of housing the origin story of VA’s caching history. Thanks for bringing us down here on this fine Tuesday morning BigCall [|)]!
Day 5 Log:
We departed Martinsburg, WV shortly after midnight and made the long, dark drive to Falls Church in the pouring rain [xx(]. The weather had me concerned about making additional finds, but it magically cleared up right around 2:30 AM right when we arrived [^]. How well timed was that [:o] [?] We made a few finds in the area before locating a nice spot to bed down and wait out the sunrise [|)]. As soon as the first rays of light crested the horizon, we hit the final part of our itinerary HARD . We finished up the last couple of cities IXF needed, picked some cool challenges off the list, and tracked down the state’s oldest . We didn’t have much time to work with, but we made every minute count . By the time we arrived at the airport around 10:30 AM we were feeling pretty good about ourselves with a total of 18 finds to claim for the day, including 10 Traditionals, 7 Mysteries, 1 Letterbox, and 6 benchmarks. I just love seeing a plan come together into such a flawless execution [^] [^] [^]!!!
Adventure Log:
I embarked on an extended 4th of July weekend adventure with inxtricablfate (IXF) and DirtyD13 (DD13) into the heart of Virginia. Our mission was to work through the west half of VA to complete the state County, DeLorme, and Independent City Challenges ! Once our main mission was complete, we could turn our attention to the newly established SCBC (Smart Caches of Berkeley County) geotrail in the Northeast corner of West Virginia . The SCBC trail gave us just the right motivation to keep the party moving all day long and through the long hours of the night to achieve our goals in VA and slip into WV for a strong finish [|)]!
Although IXF and I had never cached with DD13 before, he came ready to rock and roll with great recommendations from several long-running members of our crew [|)]. They were right about the synergy he would bring to the team dynamic [^]. The 3 of us had a great time rolling across VA together, knocking off caches county by county, page by page, and finding good times all along the way . DD13 quickly picked up on a few of our weaker areas (caching by phone [B)]), lending his specific expertise to fill in the gaps and keep our team moving along as “efficiently” as possible .
I am not sure where exactly we went right – planning, execution, or somewhere between the two, but this ended up being one of the best timed trips we have ever tackled [^]. We managed to stay on track every day and even get ahead at just the right places to build time for the important stuff, like the amazing tour of Natural Bridge Caverns . This trip was so well timed, in fact, that we picked up the final target listed on our itinerary a mere hour ahead of the time we needed to get on our way to the airport. An all-around success in my humble opinion [8)]!
By the time we returned the (previously brand new [:o]) rental car back to its point of origin near IAD we had gone a little over 1900 miles with finds spread across 55 new counties / independent cities (and a few retreads) . I wonder what the rental car folks thought when they checked the mileage count and then did the math on just how far we had to drive to do that ? For our efforts we ended up with a grand total of 218 finds to lay claim to, including 168 Traditionals, 21 Puzzles, 14 Earthcaches, 6 Virtuals, 4 Multis, 3 Letterboxes, 1 WherIgo, 1 webcam and 35 benchmarks [^]! A big thanks to all the COs who hid caches to help us on our journey through the region !!

Cache Log:
Our 1st find of the new day (around 2 AM) and our 1st find in Maricopa county as well as DeLorme page 52 ! I drove all through the night at incredible speeds (topping at 107 ) to get us here as quickly as possible. Somehow, the rest of the crew was able to sleep for the duration of the journey despite Mr. Bill’s wild ride for the past couple of hours [:o]. That was the best part of the night for me, by far [^]. The hike through the desert from the spot I parked within Bulldog Canyon was tame by comparison, though I admit that memomls and Skeletor10 would likely beg to differ . Initially, this hike was planned in the middle of the night simply as a matter of the timing of our arrival. However, after we hiked out a little over 1/2 a mile at 90ish degree temperatures, I realized this would have been killer during the day [|)]. I sure am glad it worked out for a middle of the night visit instead because we had lots of fun and the view of the stars out here was breath taking [^]. This one get a favorite point from me all around and hands down. What a great spot to have to come out and find the oldest in Arizona. I doubt I would change anything about this one ! Thanks for keeping it alive all these years Dan Rich!
Day 5 Log:
Found with IXF, memomls, and SK10 on Day 5 of a 9-day geocaching road trip through the Southwest . Today was planned as a catch up day, since I was confident we would be far behind having just tackled 4 500+ mile days in a row [8)]. Surprisingly, we were right on schedule [:o], which allowed us lots of extra time to hunt down pretty much every cache on our target list for the day [^] - - Lots of cool virtuals ! Our major achievements in day 5 include a 300 mile jump to Blythe, CA for the sole purpose of picking up I-10 qualifiers, a midnight romp in the desert to find AZ’s oldest (Geocache), a hot trip around the grounds of the AZ state capitol building, and a successful find on the Cache Across America – Arizona . By the end of the day we had made a total of 44 finds across 3 new counties and 6 new DeLorme pages, including 24 Traditionals, 16 Virtuals, 2 Puzzles, 1 Earthcache, and 6 Benchmarks. Tomorrow we make our way through NM into TX where we will be spending the whole rest of the trip !
Adventure Log:
An absolutely incredible 9-day geocaching road trip through the Southwest [^]!!! Okay, well, it is technically 10 days [8)], since my count starts with the infamous “Day 0” … We began our journey in Houston, TX and drove a 5,100 mile loop [:o] around the Southwest in pursuit of Cache Across America caches, state’s oldest, state capitols, top favorites, counties, DeLorme pages, challenges, virtuals, and any other interesting geocache we came across along the way . Inxtricablfate and I had a whole day (Day 0) to play around the Houston area before memomls and Skeletor10 arrived, which signaled the official beginning of our trip [|)]. Once our team had fully assembled we made our way east from Houston, TX into Lake Charles, LA then north through Shreveport, LA, Texarkana (TX / AR), and all the way into Little Rock, AR. We struck out west from Little Rock, AR progressing through OK, TX, NM, and AZ to eventually reach the Eastern-most border of CA in Blythe . Upon tapping the edge of CA we immediately turned around and began progressing south and east back toward Houston (the long way, of course [:p]). We spent a good amount of time in Phoenix, AZ and Tucson, AZ, crossed the border into Mexico from El Paso, TX, enjoyed a good showing of TX along the I-10 and I-20 and killed all of our remaining time around the state capitol in San Antonio. We concluded the trip with an amazing 653 total finds: 315 Traditionals, 182 Puzzles, 100 virtuals, 23 Multis, 14 Earthcaches, 13 Letterboxes, 4 Webcams, 1 Wherigo, 1 event, and 105 Benchmarks (Too bad those don’t add to the find count, eh ?). A geocaching expedition that none of us will soon forget !

This is the second of two caches found today with the full magtfplanner crew (Mrs. Mag, Big O, and Little Mia) (the other was a webcam on route). I have been eyeing this particular virtual for a very long time, but never thought it would be financially efficient to pay that much money just to take a picture in front of the castle [:p]. Since we now have our season passes in hand this and the other virtuals in the Disney theme parks have become much more realistic possibilities ! After making our way into the park and catching the tail end of the morning parade, the very first thing we did was scoot down Main Street to capture the required shot needed to claim the find. YAY! Mission accomplished! Let’s head out guys [^]! No? What? You want to explore the rest of the park? Really [:o]? Is that a thing? Hmmmm… Who knew a 4 year old and a 2 year old would rather hang out in Disney World for the day than go caching with their daddy [?] I think they have their priorities a little out of whack, but whatever… So, instead of going to play with the green boxes on the map for the rest of the day we acquiesced to the children’s demands and decided to spend the rest of the day in the park instead (Shhh…don’t tell the kids this…but we were actually going to do that anyway [:o)]! ) It turned out to be one heck of an adventure . We danced with the cast of the Mickey Mouse Club, whirled around in the tea cups a few times, shot lasers as Zurg’s minions, dove into a Honey Pot with Winnie the Pooh, climbed to the tippity top of the tree house, and even embarked on a harrowing cruise through the jungle. We wrapped the whole adventure up by meeting Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Minnie, Pluto, and even sneaking back stage for a quick “Hello” with our good pal Mickey Mouse. Though we did get hit by a little bit of rain during our visit, it did little to dampen our high spirits [^]! What a great time had by the magtfplanner crew! This is the first of many trips to the Magic Kingdom, but the only one of which I will get to the tale of our adventure on a cache log . Thanks for giving me a chance to relate our story for the day and for helping me to finally claim a “Found it” for the Magic Kingdom Budddhavista. Happy Caching [^]!

Day 2 Adventure Log:
The 34th of a total 50 caches found on 4-day weekend road trip from Jacksonville, along the Gulf Coast, through Tampa, around the Everglades, and finally into Winter Haven for 2 back-to-back days of fun at Legoland . Big day today: 5 State Park ORGT caches, the oldest cache in the state (finally!), and my last 3 DeLorme pages to complete the state challenge . Let's do this [^]! Despite staying up in Tampa caching until 1:30 AM this morning, I was wide awake before my alarm turned on and ready to set out on our adventure at 6:30 AM sharp [|)]. The family wasn't very far behind me . Unfortunately, our friends continued to sleep until almost 9 AM and since we were locked into their house by the alarm (and unwilling to wake them) we started the morning a full 2 hours behind when I had planned . Darn [xx(]... Once again I had to shift the itinerary around to compensate for a delay, but we still managed to get the schedule on track and reach our hotel at the end of the day. More importantly, I visited all of the state parks on my list and hit my major goals, so it turned out to be a good day despite the slow start (wet shoes not withstanding [:p]).
Cache Log:
Of course, it goes without saying (though I will anyway) that this was my BIG goal for the morning ! I missed this cache back in 2010 when I explored the state with IXF (it was disabled at the time, if I remember correctly) so I was psyched to finally have another shot at it today [^]. The kids were still passed out HARD [|)] from our big morning in the other state parks along the way, so I set out on the trail by myself to locate this one while the wife played on her phone and watched over the sleeping kids. Good thing I left them behind too, because the swarm of mosquitos and biting flys would have quickly driven the lot of them right over the edge . It wasn't really a problem for me until I reached the GZ though, because I used this as an opportunity to run through the park, which kept the bugs from landing and eating like they really wanted. Wish I would have slowed down a bit on the way in though because I came up on a wet spot pretty early on and before I even had a chance to react -- Splash! Splash! Squish, squish, squish [xx(]... Great, now I get to have wet shoes for the rest of the day ... Oh well... Once I reached the GZ and slowed, the cloud of bugs descended toward me [xx(]. I pulled out my spray and coated everything exposed in a good layer of "Stay the heck away!", thinking I had gotten the best of those little buggers . They then proceeded to laugh at me, push through the heavy fog in the air, and go straight for blood [B)]. At best, it slowed them down, at worst it only encouraged the feeding frenzy, but I can say with absolute certainty that my protection didn't do much to stop them [:o]. Used one hand to ward off the hungry crowd while I stamped the log and sorted through the cache with the other. Found 2 of the pathtags left by previous finders so I snatched them both up and dropped up a couple of mine in their place. I also spotted a pretty cool shark & dolphin toy set that I though the kids would enjoy during bath time, so I traded those out for a whale and dog toy (a dog that is a toy, not a dog's toy [:o)]). Once the cache had been secured back in its long standing hiding spot, I egressed from the park at the same speed and direction I had come in from. Thought I was going to outsmart the standing water this time, but it still managed to get me despite my caution, leaving a refreshed squishy feeling in my shoes for the return trip through the park. What an adventure! Florida at its best . Thanks for bringing me out here to a spot I NEVER would have visited without the right incentive and for giving me a chance to finally, finally claim the find on the oldest active cache in Florida DOGBONE and anidanid and Lorriebird!

Found with Skeletor10, inxtricablfate, PumpkinHunt, and SCGeoNinja on day 2 of an epic 3 day road trip through the east half of Alabama over Labor Day weekend . Working on completing the state's county and DeLorme challenges and enjoying our time on the road along the way . Trying to make good time to arrive at The Night Stalker trail of caches at dark, so sticking to the park-n-grab qualifiers as much as possible for the rest of the day. Really cool to see the track as we zoomed by on the road. How many world famous tracks have I been around now? We discussed in the van, but we didn't really reach a good number [:p]. Wish we had time to pick up more in this series, especially considering how fast we could more through 'em, but really have to stick to the goals or we'll miss all the fun tonight. At least I got to claim the find on this one though, as I've seen the movie Cars way, way, way more times than I'd like to admit [:o)] (Its my sons favorite movie ). Thanks for giving us a quick pit stop as we race our way toward the finish EggSilent4 .

Found on Day 1 (in the middle of the night) on an 8-day road trip through the Midwest with my trusty team of fellow Seekers: inxtricablfate, -HellFire-, and memomls. Flew into Denver, Colorado from Jacksonville, Florida to get our 4300 mile adventure into gear, hunting Cache Across America hides, state’s oldest caches, every county/DeLorme page we touched, state capitols, most non-traditionals (with an emphasis on virtuals and earthcaches), and any other interesting things we could find along the way [^]. Our loop extended through Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, North Dakota, Manitoba CA, Saskatchewan CA, Montana, Nebraska, Wyoming, and most of the outlying areas around Denver . This was, of course, one of our biggest goals of the trip . Not only did we get to find the oldest cache in the state of Kansas, but also got to put our names on the logbook for the oldest active geocache in the known universe [^]! Was surprised to see how close it was to the road, considering how hard some of the other oldest caches are to get to, but I had no complaints at receiving an easy reward for my effort to get here . Thanks for keeping this cache alive for all of us geoaddicts and giving me an opportunity to drop off a favorite point!

The 2nd of only 3 caches found on Day 0 of an 8-day road trip through the Midwest with my trusty team of fellow Seekers: inxtricablfate, -HellFire-, and memomls. Flew into Denver, Colorado from Jacksonville, Fl to get our adventure into gear for the 4300 miles ahead, hunting Cache Across America hides, state’s oldest caches, every county/DeLorme page we touched, most non-traditionals (with an emphasis on virtuals and earthcaches), and any other interesting things we could find along the way. Our loop extended through Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, North Dakota, Manitoba CA, Saskatchewan CA, Montana, Nebraska, Wyoming, and most of the outlying areas around Denver. You probably already knew this (or not), but there’s not a whole lot going on out here just before Midnight, even being a Friday night. Made for a nice quiet GZ to pick up the find without any muggles looking over our shoulders …or any lights to see by [:p]… Thanksmondou2 for putting out this cache for us to enjoy during the course of our road trip !

We had not originally intended to stop until we were well outside of Denver, but with the 31 days of August pressing down upon us, the team decided we needed to stop as soon as we left the airport and secure our calendar day. Guess I can’t complain because this makes for my first official find in Colorado . Don’t worry, plenty more to come . Thanks Raddad637 for putting out these caches for us to enjoy during the course of our road trip !

Visited with the family on our virtual walking tour of the D.C. area . Security guard was sitting on my answer [xx(]. I asked him if I could squeeze by and he just laughed and made a comment about geocachers [:p]. LOL. He also gave me a little bit of a history lesson about the Washington D.C. mayor who's name is right next to the foreign mayors. Then it clicked - The Good Charlotte song "Lifestyles of the rich and the famous" mention doing crack and running for mayor of D.C. They were talking about this guy [:o)]. How funny . Learn something new everyday [^]! Thanks for leading me to this fun virtual DaisyChain.

Found with EJ2007 and inxtricablfate during the 2011 GroundSpeak Block Party weekend on a trip from Jacksonville, Florida. We cached all the way from White Rock, Canada to San Francisco, California, picking up great caches all along the way . This was the last cache we needed to complete our respective Jasmer Challenge grids ! Might have been a tough find if not for the expertise of EJ2007 in sniffing out that which would prefer to remain hidden! TFTH and helping us complete our Jasmer Gride clarkaw [^]!!!!
