Logs for mike-miss 

The first find for us while on holiday in the sunny Tasman District. Once we got our bearings sorted it was a quick find. Hint made perfect sense once we located the box. Signed log and dropped a.TB that ive had for way too long. TFTC! 

Out and about with the micro cacher this afternoon to firstly, visit the playground and secondly, find a couple of caches. A short walk from the playground over to this one and after some closer inspection, located this well crafted hide. The micro cacher sure loved the work spent on the camouflage. Log signed, we were onto the next one. All good here, TFTC!  

Carrying on from the previous one we headed over here. This one was quickly spotted although the micro cacher did have to double take the crafty camo. All good here, TFTC!  

Its been a long time between events and all things geocaching. Great to catch up with some old friends and geocaching buddies. Was a great turnout to look at these crafty creations that i look forward in finding in the future. Thanks FMZ and Jägersmum for organising the event and too for the yummy cake. Already looking forward to the next one.  

I plan to be there 

Been here before so knew exactly what to expect. This time though, i did follow the trailhead marker instead of making a beeline to GZ. Much easier when you follow instructions. Found the cache and sat for awhile taking up the views and just the tranquility of the location. Sure is a great view from here! TFTC!  

Always enjoy a walk around the mt with the family and today was no exception. A nice quiet location here and a quick find too. TFTC!  

Did the hard yards over Easter and now back in the BOP this weekend to claim a smiley. Glad to have found this one on a blustery afternoon without too many people around. Took a bit of searching before finally reaching the goods. TFTC and the adventure!  

Completed the ad lab ages ago and today seemed like a good idea to finalise this one. No problems locating and good to sort this one out at long last. Thankful that GZ was nice and quiet on this busy morning. TFTC!  

Grabbed this one on the way up the mount to start an ad lab. Took a while to locate but all good in the end. A busy spot on a sunny morning and a great view from the lookout point. TFTC!  

No luck locating WP1 after an extensive search. Will have to come back another time and have another go. 

Glad to have the micro cacher with me for this one as to not look out of place. An enjoyable find was had by young and old. All good here, TFTC!  

The micro cacher enjoyed the playground nearby while i went a searching. Glad to have the right TOTT to extract this one out of its hidey hole. TFTC!

Out for a Sunday afternoon drive with the family and enough time to find a few geocaches in between. Quickly spotted this one but had to be very careful as wasps had also made themselves a home here very close to the cache. Carefully retrieved and signed. TFTC!

First find for today and first find for 2023. Spotted this one from the car. All good here, TFTC!  

A new day a new year. Lets start the year off on the right foot and find a few geocaches. First for the year and started with a DNF. Nothing to see here, we searched all the spots matching the hint. It appears this one is gone or i need glasses. Will be back. 

A quick look for this one again today as we were passing by doing the new ad lab as we DNFd it years ago. Another DNF for us today unfortunately. May need checking. 

This geocacher reported that the cache might be missing. 

I'd done the hard yards for this one many years ago prior to us living in the area. We've sat on the coords for years, even living locally for the past two - just don't have the time for caching much anymore.
Today we decided to do the river walk for the first time and while we were at it we may as well sign this one off at long last. A quick find here by the micro cacher in the first place checked. Finally we can put this one to bed. All good here, TFTC!  

Last one for today and our last exploring the trail. We really enjoyed exploring more of our local area. Some really nice camo here - TFTC!  

Back on the trail again after some well earned lunch with only a couple to go now. A nice quick find here and spotted on approach. All good here, TFTC!  

Decided today was a good day to go find some geocaches since we needed to explore more of our local area.
Fortunately today wasn't as hot as previous days. We took 2 cars and parked one at each end which ended up being a good thing with the micro cacher in tow.
We parked one car on Riverview Rd and headed down the walkway to this one first. Cache didn't take too long to spot with its interesting camo applied. All good here, TFTC!  

Had heard about the new suspension bridge and today was the day we were able to check it out. Micro cacher had a good time wobbling around on the centre of the bridge. Cache quickly found once we worked out which way to head. TFTC!  

Really enjoying exploring the local trail today as its been a long time between caches and we hardly get out for caching these days. This one was a quick find in the most obvious location. All good here, TFTC!  

Never walked this trail before after living locally for the past 2 years despite driving past here on a daily basis. Really enjoying the walk and so awesome to spot a mini waterfall.
GPS was pointing me to an awkward location and after triple checking no one was home, i carried on. Once at GZ i realised the cache would be here judging by the hint and it didn't take too long to spot. TFTC!  

A quick find here at the end of the trail, although having 2 more to find as we started mid way. The family really enjoyed the walk here today as we were able to explore the area a lot more. TFTC!

Out for a bike ride on labour day Monday with the family. Parked at the theatre and rode all the way to the avantidrome and back. A nice quick find at GZ, TFTC!

Did the hard yards on this one earlier on in the year but cache was missing at that time. Back in the area last Saturday for the Aroha Cruise In car show and as we were in town, we popped past GZ to sign this one off at long last. A nice quick find today, thanks for replacing.  

Stopped past GZ on our way home hoping for a quick find. Found the holder but cache is missing and needs replacing. Will stop back another time. 

A spur of the moment stop on our way home from Waihi today. We have driven past this area so many times with the hope of stopping one day, but never ever had time. Well today it all worked out and we were able to stop and have a proper explore.
The questions were quickly answered and have been sent to the CO for verification. Thanks for the virtual  

Stopped at Victoria Battery on our way home from Waihi today. Been here a couple of times before but never enough time to have a proper look around. Surprisingly, hadn't seen half of the battery on my previous visits so was well worth effort completing this wherigo.

No issues with the cartridge and had a good wander around the area completing all the tasks. Once i had the coordinates for GZ, we all headed for the final and the micro cacher laid his hands on the cache.

Found this one awhile ago and just catching up on logs now sorry. An early morning walk with friends new to geocaching. Found the first car a little closer to the trail and couldn't find anything resembling the hint let alone a cache. A little more exploring and venturing further into the undergrowth we spotted another car and this time the cache was quickly found. No sign of a logbook though and am amused as to how you found this automobile so far from the trail. Took photo as evidence we were at GZ and claiming the smiley. TFTC!  

Also came unstuck on this one after a DNF at the previous. Located something of interest but no cache to be found. Not sure if something was missing or if we were just blind. Probably the later... Will have to come back another day for another go. 

A late afternoon walk as the micro cacher needed to have a run around and wanted to find a geocache. This one didn't take too long to track down but appreciated the camo and work gone into this one. A clever hide here, TFTC!  

Glad to find this one after a couple of prior DNFs. Found this one on the way back to the car as area was busy on the first pass. A clever use of camo here and very nicely executed. All good here, TFTC!  

After some shopping nearby we headed here. Surprised the weather was as good as it was as was expecting rain. Been here before but a long time between visits. Micro cacher made short work of finding this one. Watched a train pass over while at GZ which was a bonus, TFTC!  

In the bay for the weekend. Stopped past here as we were nearby. Been here before but a long time between visits. A quick snap and read before heading on. TFTVC!  

Came unstuck on this one. Searched high and low but to no avail. Figured it would be a crafty one but the long wet grass got the better of us. A fairly busy area with constant muggles. Will have to try again another day. 

This geocacher reported that the logbook is full. 

A quick find here before making the long drive back to the mighty Waikato. TFTC!
