Logging this retroactively, I've been to NZ before learning about Geocaching and now I'm taking a virtual tour on the map to log any non-physical caches I can from places I visited as a muggle. This crater is unforgettable Smile

Bicycled all over amazing New Zealand as a muggle in 2011-2013. Now going back on a virtual tour looking for all caches I can retroactively log (logging date matches time of my GC account creation. I've been to ChCh many times and passed by this park, too, although I didn't take a picture back then.

September 11th 2001 was my first day at my new job in Prague, Czech Republic - taking calls from drivers in need and sending tows/mechanics. I remember being so immersed in familiarising myself with the job, the software and how to handle the phonecalls that when one of my colleagues turned on the TV and there was just mute footage of a smoking skycraper, I had thought it looked like that movie The Towering Inferno from 1974 and not giving it much thought. Only when I got home that evening and saw the news did I learn about the attack.

Byl jsem tu! Fantomas. TFTC. Greetings from the Czech Republic.

I've bicycled around NZ back in 2011, when I didn't know about geocaching. I went to the fossil forest and swam in Curio bay, I remember the smell of flax and the cold water despite the hot day. I'm very happy to be able to add this to my cache collection even though it's been years since my last visit to NZ. Great memories.

Sweet Lake Tekapo, one of my favourite places in the world. The milky water was weird, almost disturbing, but the air... that's a different story. I'll never forget the strikingly clear air as I approached from Burkes Pass and saw the Southern Alps so sharp on the horizon they could cut! In the evening, it was amazing to see the fog forming over the surrounding mountains, engulfing them like steam from a witch's cauldron. And the clouds at sunset! They were like golden whipped cream, bloody incredible. My camera could never catch their full beauty.

My first time at Tekapo, I was biking the South Island and that day I had met a Japanese couple in their 70s, also on bicycles. Bloody hardcore. They invited me for dinner and by pure coincidence, I found out there's an actual Japanese restaurant in Tekapo, so I learned how to eat sushi properly that day. Seriously, I had the best time in Mackenzie country.

Bicycled all over amazing New Zealand as a muggle a few years back. Now going back on a virtual tour looking for all caches I can retroactively log (logging date matches time of my GC account creation. Camped at Slope Point, right next to the sign, after a hard day's ride back in November 2011. Even though the cache was archived at the time, I feel more than entitled to log it now. I still remember the amazingly beautiful sunset with Stuart Island outlined in the background and huge sunrays shooting up from behind the horizon around 11 at night. One of the most rewarding moments during my stay in NZ.
