Found by senior son, but real point of note was junior son biked the whole way there from home. Beautiful site, lots of black shags sunning themselves on the remains of the wharf
Can't believe haven't been to this cache before - it's within view of our house.

Found it just as we were giving up - our GPS unit did not work so well under the trees A lovely place with a wonderful track to go for a quick walk with the kids.

Better luck the second time! Good to get out of the house on a damp weekend

Took Mr 9 who found the journey to be a) too hot on his feet when we went over the dunes, b) too rough on his legs as we bush bashed over the dunes to the cache and c) too wet when we walked on the beach on the way back. I, on the other hand enjoyed the cache, and the dogs did too!
Little yellow car in, water pistol out. Also removed a travel bug from unite for diabetes, logged elsewhere!

Had fun walk with Mr 9 and Mr 5 seeking cache - Added travel bug, and dolphin ring. Brisk day in the wind, ran down the beach afterwards

The nine year old said it was quite hard to find. Log is indeed tatty, and we forgot to bring a pen!!! Nice outing for an evening when the kids were getting a bit scratchy - the dogs loved bombing up and down the hill...

We were close, but no banana. Lots of muggles around today, will go back and nail it later.

Good to have another excuse to visit a great park. They had a stone carving symposium on there today, very interesting. Little green man in, horse out.

Had a great time with a group of friends showing them how geocacheing works. One of them found the well hidden cache. Fantastic site...

Fascinating story - heard from one of the locals that it was stolen either in the beginning of the journey, or near the end!

Had a nice quick outing to amuse the four year old. Good thing I took him, he found the cache before me!
10-Oct-04
[Raining today, but had a great walk round the park, then drove to the cache. The four year old loves finding treasure, and yelled "Clever Mummy!!" when I found it. He kept the koala and left a matchbox truck.]
Its a very easy find when you realise it is no-where near Rivendell...]

This was our first cache. We took all the family - Mum, Dad, Connor (4yrs) and Hamish (5wks). It was an easy walk for Connor, the tunnel made it like an adventure, and it was neat to see a travel bug. Bug might get to Dubai with Dad if Scooby doesn't move on with someone else. Good cache, not too hard to find.
Took pencils and left a cow key ring.
