I was terribly regretting that I will never see this rock on my own eyes when I had seen it for the first time on pictures (it was a year 1980, Czechoslovakia was a communistic country and its citizens could not travel freely). Fortunately, the time has changed and an only obstacle to visit it was a journey across a half of planet. Finally, the journey was realized this year and we visited Uluru as one of the main points during out tour across Tasmania and Australia. We were unusually lucky – after several days of rain the weather was very favourable. We walked around the whole rock during a beautiful morning. The peak of the rock was closed because of a strong wind but on the end even this was opened for us. My visit to Uluru and Kata Tjuta belongs to my strongest experiences I ever had, not only in Australia but during my whole live …

There was a minimum people on the beach and lenght of it corresponds with my jogging rate. What more can I wish…

I‘d never seen wind like this! I reached the trigonometry point though, but the descent might had changed to free fall. Sun was shining above Hobart, people were dressed in summer clothes and snowstorm were going to start on Mt. Welington in a while. Amazing experience. THX

I have been looking forward to this track during our planning of Tasmania tour already. I hoped for a good weather and a reasonable time for a climbing. The weather was just perfect but I had hardly two hours to get up there. Lucky enough I had manage it. An unforgettable sights were a reward for me. I have to confess I was a bit sad we could not go a Victoria track.
