Logs for LandieCrew
17-Apr-05
The LandieCrew fone this one on a lovely Canberra Autumn afternoons caching. As other logs mention, a quite easy find on the way to a beaut lookout.
The landie crew found the cache after a bit of searching, the landie Kids were begining to give up. The travel bugs bedding down for the on coming winter. I'll probably be going to europe for work over winter, If the bugs still their I'll swing past and pick him up on the way.
A hill I drive past at least a coupla times a week, good to finally walk up it, quite specy. The landy crew enjoyed the outing with the landy kids making a few exchanges.

The Landie crew were spending a week in the alps so this cache was nicely placed for a rest along the way. Found the cache easy enough. cache has been visited by non-geocachers, they seemed to enter into the spirit of things tho. The bucket was split, most of the contents were in plastic bags so were OK. Bitta duct tape over the split and the bucket is sealed again. Nice spot, base camp for a horse riding group while we were there.

The Landie crew were out for an over nighter. Our track home led to the flat for lunch, so we took the opertunity to find the cache while the hot dogs had their hottnes installed. The cache was in good nick and a relatively easy find. The kids swapped a Banana's in PJ's book + Wallace and gromit coloring set for the watch. A great area, a probably summer destination

Found cache after a leisurely stroll with 5 kids under 7 along the lovely walking track. On the way we saw an abundance of wildlife including wallabies, koalas, kangaroos, emus and wedge tailed eagles. The 5 year old located the cache under the small shrub and we exchanged Killarney beach shells and small nest for frog and snake.A most enjoyable experience for all.

Well the LandieCrew had a clear but very windy winters day to vist the cache. We all enjoyed the walk and the lookouts[^].
On the day the co-ordinates were about 20 uphill from the cache.
The LandieMum found the cache, further confirming my belief that I I can't find anything the I should ask her.
Really enjoyed the views. Once the Landie kids grow up it will be nice to do the canyon walk. Swapped the keyring for a frog.

Well the LandieCrew decided it was time to stretch the legs. The day we planned ended up being a beaut Canberra winters day. Was great having the steep section first - I hate to think what the landiekids would have done if it was at the end. LandieKid #1 found the cache, starting to get an eye for it. We used the compass bearing. Walking around the rocks, to the steps, the GPS narrowed the location to the area. A great view, quite popular, we saw about two dozen people in 6 groups. Felt unsual being the only ones who knew of the cache's existance. We swapped Preston the dog for the red plane. Be glad when LandieKid #3 is out of the pack! Thanks ACT4WD club - The LandieCrew, from LRCACT.

Took the crew out for a sunny saturday walk on Anzac day W/E. A great spot, will be a good one to introduce the Landie kids to over night camping back pack style. The kids found the stash and made three swaps. Talking with the kids we missed the easy track to the beach (Figured I didn't need to monitor the gps too closely - oops). Got to the lookout and climbed down the rocks and walked back along the beach. Climbed down the rocks with Junior landie on my back, he enjoyed it. Looks like a fun MTB ride.
