Day 1 of a long weekend in Stanthorpe to attend the Xmas in July event. Alkzura, the 3 geokids and I, visited the Robins and picked up a couple of caches and went to the Christmas in July event.

Unfortunately for me geobub did not have a good night and after many hours of screaming I resorted to the driving technique. Of course once he finally passed out I decided to pick up a cache to make the 3am trip worthwhile. By the light of a nearly full moon I quickly found and signed the cache and then headed back to the motel. TFTC 

After a wonderful long weekend in Stanthorpe to attend the Xmas in July event Alkzura, the 3 geokids and I picked up a couple of caches on our way out of town.

We pulled up to this one and I jumped out to make the grab. After I'd been back and forth for a bit I asked Alk to have a look and he picked up the cache which I had been wandering past blindly. [B)] Oh well we all suffer cache blindness occasionally.

Thankfully after the last two caches this was a park and grab. TFTC 

Alkzura and I haven't missed a Christmas in July event and this was no exception. We love coming down to Stanthorpe, we love the caching and we love the people, especially Team Robins.

Big groups of people and places away from home are usually quite a challenge for our two Fragile X kiddies, but they both love it here at casa Team Robins, so our biggest problem was trying to curb their enthusiasm. In the end we had to head home early because the baby was tired, and didn't get to mix much, but we enjoyed the hospitality while we were there.

Our middle geokid was keen to help find the treasure but even with her help it took a while to find the cache. Of course that was because I had us looking in the wrong spot. Alkzura finally made the find and we were on our way. TFTC

My theme for the weekend was cache blindness. In my defense it's been 7 months since I've been caching because I just had a baby. [8)] After not seeing the cache in the first place I looked I wandered further afield while Alk watched the kids. The new vantage point revealed what I'd missed before but in my haste I slipped down the embankment and ended up in the bottom of a ditch. Ahhh the indignity. It was pretty funny though.

With the cache signed we headed off. TFTC

This cache has one of my favourite types of containers so it was a case of pulling up and knowing immediately where it was, and upon inspection, grabbing the container. TFTC 

Well it's been sometime since we've been able to do any caching, but baby number 3 is now 6 months old and we never miss an event in Stanthorpe. See you all there!

Alkzura and I were staying at the Stamford for a night before the birth of baby #3 (sans kids) and couldn't resist this one. Being 8 1/2 months pregnant I can attest to the easy terrain rating. TFTC 

Oh that's just mean! 400m from home and I'm the size of the Hindenburg!  

Out on date night with Alkzura and decided to pick up a cache as it had been a while. Found easily where expected. TFTC 

Took the kids for a play in the park and it's definately still in place. Sorry I forget a replacement log! I'll get my act together and do some cache maintenance.

Had hoped to get a few caches today but the kids weren't up for it, so grabbed this one after a short stroll and headed back. TFTC 

Once parked this was a nice walk and an easy find with Alkzura, EngPhil and Palopinto one our way to do the Cursed Pistol. TFTC

What a truly awesome cache! I enjoyed the adventure today with Alkzura, EngPhil and Palopinto. I think EngPhil has covered the story so TFTC.  

I'm going to archive, this cache has had a number of moves and disappearances, so I think it's time. Thanks to all who came and found it.

Finally!!! We were on our way to our annual Stanthorpe event but had to have another go at this cache. Take 4 was the charm, although for the first time the GPS directed us to a completely different location. Not sure what was going wrong all those other times, but Alkzura had his hands on it pretty quickly this time, despite some muggles having a cup of tea at the back of their car nearby. He is a wiley one that Alkzura. TFTC 

Alkzura, the kids and I were on our annual pilgrimage to the awesome Stanthorpe event and thought we'd stop by and grab this cache. Initially I was in completely the wrong spot, but a quick look at the GPS had me in the right spot and Alk and I were signing the log and putting it back before jumping back in the car. TFTC 

Booked accomodation and have been planning our attendance (it's a tradition now) since publication. Just forgot to log our Will Attend. Add myself, Alk and the two rugrats to the list. Looking forward to it! 

Got a nice set of co-ords, but can't go and have a look until I get the kids off to Kindy. Suspect it will be gone by then. [B)] 

Here for the WWFMX event, Alkzura and I headed off with EngPhil and family to find this cache. We were pre-warned about the WP issues, but got lucky at the final when we ran into two fellow cachers in the know. Taking advantage we signed the log book. Hope you don't mind too much geckomaster62. TFTC

After a wonderful weekend camping at the Boreen Point camp ground we started to head home, but of course had to drop by a few caches on the way. This was cache number 4.

We had no trouble finding the cache at it's quite location. The kids were getting restless to get home so we didn't stop and have much of a look around. Cache was found in good nic.

This cache was a tad difficult to pick up due to the muggles wandering around but Alkzura managed to sneak the cache out, sign it, and get it safely back in place while the kids and I pretended to enjoy the view.
