This was a fun earth cache. Lived in Ontario most of my life, but learned a whole lot I didn't know about the lake. Answers sent to the CO.

A) Awesomeness - 3 Decent
B) Diabolicalness - 3 Bit tricky, but not overly so
C) Upkeptedness - 4 Well kept up for a farmers field
D) KidFriendlyNess - 5 Let the kids run free
E) AdultFriendlyNess - 3 Small admission price, but nothing that will break the bank
This is a corn maze at Johnny Wilson Farm in Granite Falls, North Carolina USA. My sons pre-school class came here on a field trip. The farm has a petting zoo, two mazes, pumpkins patches, apple orchards, and a bouncy house.
It took about 15 minutes to solve this maze - with a group of 3 year olds and their parents.

My in-car gear is pretty simple. I just have a dash mounted Nuvi.
I do carry a Garmin Montana and use a Galaxy Nexus in the field. If I am on an extended road trip I also use a MacBook Air in the car for extra trip planning.

The Old Taylor Distillery near Frankfort Kentucky - home of many a bourbon distillery.
I have been collecting pathtags founded in caches, and traded with cachers. It has been a great way to store up memories of places I've been and people I've met.
United State Post Office in one of the most relaxed sounding places in the world: Carefree Arizona.
I record everything digitally. Field notes on my Garmin Montana, and uploaded to gc.com.
Most notes I need to take in the field I use my camera for - Android with Instant Upload to plus works wonderful.
If I need to do math, I carry a small paper notepad in my pack.

This was in Castle Rock park in California about 2 years ago. I was out on a hike, and doing some geocaching. I got to GZ at a rest stop and noticed some muggles. I decided to wait them out. I looked, but didn't see any signs of GPSrs or other "I am a geocacher' giveaways.
After 20 minutes they headed off, but not down the trail, rather they went into the woods and stated looking around. So I asked if they were, by chance, geocaching. It turns out they were, but were trying to use a map and compass. So I offered to assist them by sharing my GPS, They got a much better caching experience and some time being mentored in the hobby, and I got some hiking buddies and some local history and colour.
All in all a great trade off.

This is the grave of Mildred Wirt Benson, the author of the Nancy Drew detective series of books for kids. They were quite popular in North American when I was growing up.
The grave and monument to Sir Isaac Brock - The British general who saved Canada from US invasion during the war of 1812.
Alligator Back Overlook - overlooks the amazing valleys of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina.
Found outside NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View CA. It came on me quick so no chance to put a GPS in the photo.
I met this fellow in June 2012 at an event. His name is Andy "HeadHardHat" Smith and is one of the better known geocaching podcasters in the world, at least in North America. He is the one in the tie die.
My favourite drink is Alexander Keiths India Pale Ale, from Nova Scotia Canada.
Taken from my house in North Carolina.

A saint carved into a tree.
Note: These are from vacation last year. I stumbled across geocaching.com.au and wanted to back fill some interesting locationless caches.

This is an old US revolutionary war marker in Kentucky. It is not "forgotten", but it is lonely as it is the only grave in this cemetery. Check out the birth and death years
After a cache in the dark. It was in a church parking lot. I pass GZ, and do a quick 3-point turn to head back, as I am in then middle of my reverse I hear metal on metal - sure enough I backed into a metal sign, warning me to be careful backing up.... oops.
My van still has the cars in its paint from that encounter.

Guaranteed unique rail crossing. It was made by a private land owner to act as a gate for his property. The rail only goes about 10ft on either side. The owner was a rail engineer and built this after his retirement.
It can be found at the posted co-ordinates in Clayton North Carolina USA

A family cemetery for the Burkes in Lousville Kentucky USA, This small cemetery is surrounded by hedges and a huge shopping complex. There are only a few people who know this cemetery exists.

A rainbow taken from US Airways flight 464 from San Francisco California to Charlotte North Carolina. No coordinates posted as GPS devices are not allowed on US Airways flights, but it was just before landing, so this was somewhere over Western North Carolina.
A rare full circle rainbow.
