Logs for 12bertramcrew

30-Oct-11
Took a rubber cow from the moo.Left a frog in the log. Very nice cache.

29-Oct-11
The virgo of the crew was most impressed by this neat and tidy cache with little ziplocs for everything. Nice mosaics holding up the Burring. Took a cute elephant, left moo moo rubber. TFTC

19-Oct-11
Drive by here on my way to and from work but usually car pooling. Coming through alone in the early afternoon it was easy enough to wait between passing cars and grab cache. TNLN SL Smile TFTC.

Drive past most days but as I car pool not really doable. Left early and alone today so easy to stop and grab. TFTC

16-Oct-11
Rode from home along old new brighton road. So tiny, without using the clue might have taken forever. In fact we met up with a friend from work who I'd been talking about geocaching with, he and his lovely boys were a great help. SL TFTC.

15-Oct-11
Such a gorgeous day so after swimming and whale watching we went for a ride. I remembered "Middle of the Road" as we were going along Old New Brighton Road. Turned on the phone and headed straight there. Wow! now I know what micro means. Might never have spotted it except for the help of 3 brand new geochachers (a friend from work and his two boys) that we were lucky enough to meet up with on the bridge. Very Happy TFTC!

06-Oct-11
Walked along the beach from home (about 4ks). Was a beautiful afternoon and a great little spot. TFTC.

03-Oct-11
Nice walk. Easy find. We kept walking down to "Madstars 100th Hide". Took Pirate keyring. Left Frogs. TFTC.

We'll be returning here with goggles and flippers. Beautiful! Took nothing. Left frog. TFTC.

Introducing a local to geocaching and to places in her own backyard she's never been. Took nothing. Left frog and pen. TFTC.

Had to make a big deal of the view as some muggles approached. Nice walk and also enjoyed the nearby swing. Took pink glittery cat. Left frogs and stickers. TFTC.

02-Oct-11
After Out Of Bounds' brown snake just up the road we were a little hesitant but refused to be stumped. TFTC.

Nice one. TFTC.

We jumped out of the car thinking muggles shouldn't be a problem on such a miserable day, they weren't but a brown snake was so we got straight back in the car.

Those couple of steps in from the road are well worn. Its a little damp but love the log. TFTC.

01-Oct-11
Embarrassed to confess that I did not actually know how to enter the co-ordinates - what a noob. Walked around the point in case we stumbled upon it. Too cold to hang around for much of a look. Will try again.

Great spot for the cache. Took Yoshi with trackable. Left frogs.

30-Sep-11
So windy that there were few muggles to worry about (quite sure this one would be all but impossible on a nice summers day). Took bouncy ball, left frog. TFTC.

Nice easy one. TFTC.

Jumped out to have a look but the rain was just pelting down too hard. Will try again another time.

We lifted Lucy to grab, sign and return. TFTC

The rain abated a little so we headed up the path. So many bats in the trees overhead and not only the creek but the path were flowing due the heavy rain. Log a little damp. Would never have known this lovely walk was here so TFTC.

Took a bandage that was mouldy and a few yucky bits, left a new ziplock for log, some stickers and frogs. Great spot. TFTC.

Not sure how I could miss this considering everyone else has mentioned how easy it is, I've even read the clear hint and looked at the spoiler photo Sad

Still grey and windy so no muggles to be seen in this lovely park. Took ribbon. Left frog and stickers.

Pretty sure there was a car parked by GZ. Never mind we have a few for today and might try again later.

26-Sep-11
We were in the right place (even the right time as the few muggles around were focussed on their afternoon coffees) but needed more intrepid and experienced fingers than our own. Our first encounter with another geocacher - thanks Wink
SL. TFTC.

Clue was so detailed we didn't even bother with the phone just strolled around the building and spotted easily. A muggle or 2 passed by but probably thought how nice that pretty girl is writing her number down for that hansom young man as the 19yo members of the bertram crew completed the log standing in the laneway. TFTC. We no doubt checked out the architectural details of the building more than we would otherwise and that is one of the reasons why this geocaching caper is so cool.

A little rain was not going to put us off having another look this morning. Found it quite quickly took it back to the car to sign log. Took Giant Golf Ball with trackable Travel Bug left a couple of pens. Will add a TB when we next encounter one as this is a close to home for us as well as being a good size and seems well protected so perfect for exchanging trackables etc

25-Sep-11
Phone was running out of batteries and we are still newbies so did not find it but will go back soon (with charged battery) and try again.

No phone reception for me here so when we passed by the sign the other day we decided we didn't really have a chance but after reading the clues and some past logs, gave it a go and found it at knee height so placed it up higher to match the original description better (hope this is ok). TFTC

17-Sep-11

Lots of people in the car park but all headed to the beach. Nice walk, we had a little trouble but a lot of fun finding it. Cache number 3 - woohoo! SL logbook a little damp. TFTC

Isn't funny how obvious these things can be once you have spotted them. TFTC. Lovely park. We had a shady little picnic to celebrate our 2nd ever find.

Our very first find!!! TFTC. So much fun Smile
