Searched, thought, searched, thought - no luck.
Met another couple of geocachers (thanks Geotrove for the extra clue). More searching, and finally found it.

Our first find in New Zealand! Big hello from Canada.
Took a little bit of searching, and our GPS had us in slightly the wrong spot, but eventually our little guy found it.
