Would someone kindly visit this cache to check if my Travel Bug, "Giacomo, the Italian Chef," is still hiding out here? If so, would you please take him along with you and place him into another cache so that he may continue on his original mission to visit Naples, Italy? I would be so appreciative if someone would tell me of his whereabouts. Thank you.

Too bad this style of cache is no longer permitted. I think it is just fun to watch and see just where a cache will go and how many cachers will seek it out. I thank the owner of this cache for allowing it to be brought to GeoWoodstock 5 so that those of us on this side of the country can share in a bit of geocaching history. You are most gracious!

After a full day of caching in Sylva, NC, I found this handsome fellow just standing around puffing away on his pipe. Since it was getting a bit chilly outside, he was inside the restaurant (Nick & Nates) where we ended up our day with a hearty dinner. I invited him to join us but he “wooden†consider it. He said something about preferring to simply stand around and puff on his pipe. However, he did permit me to have my picture taken with him.

Target # 39 - Life Imitates Art Imitates Life

This bronze statue of a little girl drinking from a fountain is part of a series of statues and monuments of the Asheville Urban Trail which depicts the history and growth of the City of Asheville, NC. Visitors to Asheville can take the entire self-walking tour or choose to engage in the guided tour offered each Saturday from spring through autumn. The person in the left side of the photo of the girl drinking from the fountain is myself with GPS in hand.

This is, indeed, a truly impressive virtual cache! It’s definitely one which is relative to geocachers everywhere. Perhaps someday, I will have the opportunity to view it in person and be able to really appreciate its magnitude. Thank you, Ghosthunter, for presenting this cache for all to enjoy and learn.

While visiting in Tennessee last month with my other half, Atrus, I came across this neat old covered bridge. Apparently, it’s quite old and historically significant to the local community.

This mailbox (made to look like an old Chevy) is located in Hendersonville, NC, USA. I noticed it a few days ago but had to wait for a day without rain to take the picture. As it turned out, I got lucky and was able to speak with the owner of the mailbox. He told me that it was a homemade gift from his wife’s boss and that he had only put it out a few days before. When I asked if I could take a few pictures of it he said, “Sure, take as many as you like!†He seemed really proud of his unique mailbox. I took these pictures using my PalmOne Zire 72. I don’t think they are too bad for a PDA!
