Logs for Goodesy37

Well, looks like there is no need to get a replacement cache as this one is still there. Sorry for not being active, I was on holidays
18-Feb-17
With School Camp coming up in a few days, I am going to be too busy over this next week to check this one out, so I am disabling it until I can take a proper look at the cache.

Down at the beach today, decided to pick up this cache as it was pretty much directly behind me. Was having a bit of trouble so resorted to reading some of the logs. After that I had a fair idea of what I was looking for; the cache was soon in hand. Great camo, I brought my family down to have a look it at it and they loved it! Tftc

Pretty sure this one is gone. I knew it was the right tree because of the bird box and I found the hidey hole but no cache. Sorry.
Picking up some caches that I ran out of time to do yesterday. Signed the log and off to do the next one. Tftc
I came here yesterday to attempt this cache. The cache was quickly located, but the retrieval was another story. I fired off a message to the Double A's requesting a hint and continued on my way, hoping they'd answer by the time I was on my way back. The next day I was checking messages on my phone when I saw I had a message from the Double A's. Without giving it away, the message broke it down into three parts. It was a good help because I found out I had been trying to do this one the wrong way (no I wasn't trying to pull it out or use strength; I just had been attempting to do something that couldn't be done). I won't say anything more because that would be leaving spoilers! At first I still couldn't work it out, but later in the day, boom! It hit me! I knew exactly what to do and I could even visualise myself doing it. Great cache, it has earned a favourite point from me. TFTC!

Looked for quite a while but without success. Whether my phone had me in the wrong spot or I wasn't looking hard enough I don't know, but this one was taking too long so I had to give up. I'll be back but for now this one remains unfound.
Grabbing some caches in this area, this was the first. A little bit hard due to the long grass but it was found after a short search. Never knew that there was a park here! Tftc
I was running out of time and I was about to leave when something caught my eye; it was the cache! Thank you for introducing me to the path less taken.
Found it open on the ground everything gone. Will log a needs maintenance when I get home. The photo attached is the exact position that I saw it. There was a perfect hidey hole right where my phone said was GZ so I have put it back.
Like I said in my previous log, the cache was out of place, open, wet, and nothing in it.

After a couple of DNFs I went down here to make sure that the cache was still in place. It wasn't; the hiding place had been obviously tampered with. This cache will be back soon but for now it is offline
18-Dec-16
Finally a found! After two attempts (the cache disabled shortly after both) I went straight to the where the previous muggled cache was and did what I had to do to find the location of the cache. Love the new hiding spot!

Here at the state relay day, I had a twenty minute break to go and pick up a cache. This one was the closest so off I went. Yes, quite a few hides holes. After reading the logs I knew exactly where to go and it was a quick find. Tftc!

After getting back from camp today, I had a day off, so I decided to go and pick up my closest unfound to home. I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for, especially after reading some of the logs. These are my favourite type of geocaches, simple and easy, yet satisfying and effective. Tftc.

This one was really frustrating. It wasn't that I was having trouble finding the cache, I was having trouble finding GZ. My phone kept putting me in different places. Oh well, has happened before.
06-Nov-16
Our first multi! Out with the family today, we came past this one and I thought, why not give it a go? We got to WP1 without any trouble, and after a few quick calculations, we had GZ located. Arriving at GZ, we had 4 people searching and as a result it was found straight away.

Well, yesterday I came here at 11:00 and found that nothing had changed, the nano was still there and in it was the same frustrating question which I still had no idea what the answer to was. I was really stuck, so I contacted Elphin requesting a hint, and one was given. After that GZ has been located, so I raced off leaving my stuff in the playground hoping for a find. Well all I found were two muggles having a picnic right where I wanted to search, so I left and came back at 4:00. At one point I thought I had it, but Elphin responded with a 'No'. I was searching in the right place, just couldn't finish the puzzle. Oh well. I'll be back

The night this cache was published, I was very sleepy, so I said to myself that I would get up early and if there were no logs I would go for the ftf. Puts a new meaning on the phrase 'You snooze you lose!'. I was very surprised when this cache popped up because coincidentally I had plans if placing a cache here myself called 'Rocky Road' but it looks like I was beaten. This cache definitely could be the start of a trail though.
Throughout the week I kept finding myself busy, and this cache, just over a K from my home location, was starting to bug me. So even though there was a 95% chance of rain on this typical Melbourne day, I raced out to go collect the cache. Found pretty quickly, but I was rushing because I could see little ripples in the nearby puddles which meant raindrops.

This log has been delayed slightly as my phone died after finding it. I found this one on the way back, luckily I have done one of these types of caches before so it wasn't too hard to retrieve.

Well, after meeting mark himself and hearing some of the history behind this cache, I was more interested in this cache then I thought I would be. This cache was on the easier side of the scale, but still a good hide.

As I arrived at the location, my gps suddenly flashed a warning saying that it was on low battery life, so I turned it off and grabbed my phone instead. I didn't need it in the end, because as I landed at GZ (my gps had gotten me that far) I did 'spot the difference' and soon had the cache in hand. As I turned to go, I heard a voice say 'that's my cache.' It was the hider mark himself. We chatted for a bit before going out separate ways

Good cache. Only one complaint, it took me longer to replace it so it was completely hidden than it took to actually find it! Tftc
Well, I was going to go and do the 'Henry Street Trail' but with this one so close by, how could I say no? One of my favourite types of caches, hard to spot for muggles but a quick and easy find for geocachers.

After successfully finding 'Nesting Season' , I was in good spirits heading towards this cache. Well, the description of this cache says that you needed to look for 'a hide at the base of a tree'. Well, almost straightaway, my friend Tom said 'Look! Up there! I found it!', and my immediate reaction was that he must be joking. He was not. Tom had found the actual cache. If you have found this before you would know what I meant. Well, it wasn't too hard to get it after that. This cache blew both of us away, we thought it was incredible. This one gets a favourite from us.

Had a free afternoon today, so I decided to make the most of it by going out to collect some caches. On the way there I rode past my friend's house and I thought, why not take him with me? So I did. And I'm very glad I did! Even with very little geocaching experience, he managed to spot all 3 containers. Off to do the next one now. Tftc

Actually found this cache a couple weeks ago, but for reasons I'm not going to bother writing down I never got around to logging it.
Well, finding this cache was definitely an adventure. And not just the cache! I actually had a bit of trouble finding the 'Al-E-WAY'. I rode around the block 3 times before stopping in front of the church. I walked through to the back and that's where I saw it. The next time I rode around, a kept a watchful eye on the path, and then went in. The cache itself was not hard but still clever.

Decided to get out of the house today to pick up some DBT Caches. This was the first one. I was a little bit stumped until I re-read the cache description; I then lowered myself to the ground and boom, there it was

This cache has been on the to-do list for a while now, and today was the day. I rode my bike down the little dirt track until I ended up at GZ. I had to take my bag off before attempting this cache. After a quick search the cache had been spotted. Another great example of how to hide an attractive, creative cache.

Despite the storm clouds, I decided to go and pick up this cache on my bike. I, like some others, had not explored this area before, so my plan was to ride through Karkarook park and see what happened from there. I was cutting through the nearish Dales park when I first noticed the rain. From there, it very quickly became fierce hail, and I had no choice but make a bolt for the nearest shelter, which was over by the playground. After the hail died down, I decided just to try and get to Karkarook as quickly as I could. If the rain came back, I could always take shelter in Karkarook. Fortunately, the clouds disappeared and the weather had no effect on the rest of the journey. When I finished riding through the rather soggy path, I headed straight ahead towards the gate. Looking to my right, I had reached the park. When I came into the park, the GPS led me straight to the 'Trapdoor' and the creative cache was soon in hand. I rode past quite a few caches on the way to this one, with the plan being to start from Kingston Road and work my way back up towards Karkarook park. Unfortunately though, I ended up being pressed for time, so I only ended up doing this cache and one other.

Hi everyone, Sorry for such a terrible day. Looks like my cache has disappeared, not to worry as I have plenty more containers at home. I will replace this cache as soon as I get the chance.

I rode into Hodgson reserve feeling pretty good about myself having picked up 3 caches today already. But the thing that really made me smile wasn't that I found the cache, but that this was the ground that I played my first ever game of interschool footy. Thanks for taking me back!
I rode my bike down here today hoping to find a couple of caches in this area. When I arrived at the cache location I started getting annoyed with my gps, thinking it was taking me to the wrong place but actually I kept walking past it! I actually was looking too hard, so a tip to the next person that comes along is that the cache is more obvious than you will first realise.
Thanks for sharing some history, I will definitely come back here and take a look at the museum. 5th and final cache for the day
Second cache for the day. After a short ride from the previous cache, I arrived at 'cryptic corner'. Found the fake and 'spikey' and soon after had the cache in hand. tftc now off to do the next one

Thanks for the confirmation elphin. I went the other day and found the nano but not the cache. I just thought that I was hopeless!
