Logs for Hoggorm
28-Oct-05
This is a small botanic garden just outside Kristiansand in southern Norway.
This chess is located at the Hamresanden Camping facility on Hamresanden, Kristiansand, southern Norway. Unfortunately the autumn is upon us here in Norway, and so the pieces for the chess set is removed until late spring and summer.
This Civil Defence Siren is located on a public house about a km from my house. In Norway we often call then typhoons, and they are normally tested once a year.
This house is located at HÃ¥nes outside Kristiansand in southern Norway. The funny thing about this one (there are actually two next to each other) is that it can turn around its centre, so that for example the sun always is in a favourable position!
This is the Varodd Bridge that leads the E18 road over the Topdals River in Kristiansand, southern Norway. The bridge is 624 meters long and was built in 1956.
In 1990 there was build a new "ordinary" bridge next to the suspension bridge, and some parts of this other bridge are visible on the pictures.

This bridge goes over the Topdals River leading out to the waters near Kristiansand in southern Norway. With of the bridge is about 1 metre.
This is the main gate to the local football team "Start" in Kristiansand, southern Norway. Not very impressive you might say... The stadium is not the most modern and there are plans to build a new one within few years. The team Start will tomorrow (on 291005) play the last game this season and, hopefully, they will be the best team in Norway by the end of the day! That, in comparison to their stadium, is VERY impressive though, as they didn't even play in the best league last year!
This is the teams official website:

And I wish them all the best tomorrow!

This Republic RF-84F Thunderflash is located at Kjevik Airport outside Kristiansand in southern Norway (ICAO: ENCN, IATA: KRS). In it's time this aircraft was a top modern photo reconnaissance aircraft and was based at 717 Sqdn at Sola Airport outside Stavanger. The last time it flew was from Rygge to Kjevik on November 28 1969. Norway used the type until 1970.
