Logs for Redbaroness
05-Nov-13
Visiting while on the Sapphire Princess. Had a wonderful day of feeding rays and sharks, snorkeling, and a great traditional lunch at a motu. My non-geocaching buddies didn't object to a trip to the famous Bloody Mary's. TFTC

27-Oct-12
Queenstown - what a beautiful city! Enjoyed visiting the area with a group of artists from the US. So many wonderful sites to paint. Email sent a while back. TFTC
24-Oct-12
Quick find while sketching Campbells Cove. Tried for this one 3 years ago while visiting Sydney but there were far too many muggles. Sorry for the late log. TFTC
24-Jul-10
Replacing Bob the Skull after catching him up on some of his travels a while back.
01-Dec-09
2310. Visiting from California and flying back to Sydney tonight. Enjoyed visiting Cape Tribulation and snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef during my brief visit to Cairns. Time to bid a final farewell to Mr. Small's Class Adventure coin and hope it has further great adventures for his class. TFTC
28-Nov-09
2309. A beautiful day for a walk along the Esplenade. Easy to spot this one as I approached, and the morning was quiet. Made a quick grab, signed and replaced the cache. Wow, when the tide is out here, it's really out. Enjoyed watching the birds in the mud. TFTC
27-Nov-09
2308. Last morning in Sydney before heading to Cairns. My shopoholic traveling companion needed to hit a few more souvenir shops, so I took advantage of the time to grab this cache and visit Hyde Park. While accessible day or night, it's definitely easier to access when you can first spot the exact location when the gates are open. TFTC
26-Nov-09
2307. Thanksgiving Day for an American in Australia. Working on "The Day Challenge" and needed one for this American holiday. I selected James Mitchner, a natural choice for someone who loves to travel. I nominate his work "The World is My Home" - another natural choice for me, though almost any of this other books would have served the purpose well. Dipping Mr. Small's geocoin for the miles. TFTC
24-Nov-09
2306. I was staying right across the street from the botanical gardens. Waited until the weather cooled a bit after my arrival on the Rhapsody of the Seas on Saturday before taking a walk around the gardens. Waited out some muggles who appeared to be taking up permanent residence on Mrs. Macquaries Chair, but they finally departed. As my traveling companion snapped another less than flattering photo of me, I met a couple of cachers from Germany whose gps had died so I loaned them mine for a photo. Thanks from bringing me to this piece of Sydney history with it's fantastic views.
18-Nov-09
2304. After riding the cable car up to the botanical gardens, my traveling companion left to do her own thing. Yes! I can cache and do what I like now. Walked on down to the waterfront and quickly picked up this cache. Dropped off the Caching Hazards geocoin. TFTC
2303. It was pouring rain as our ship arrived in Wellington so I headed to the museum until the rain stopped. Enjoyed viewing the exhibits, then went for this cache as soon as it dried. Dropped the Dolphin geocoin, and dipped Mr. Small's coin for the miles. TFTC
2305. Quick find as I'm walking my way back to the cruise ship. What started as a really rainy day in Wellington, turned out to be beautiful. TFTC
17-Nov-09
2301. Sent my shopoholic traveling companion off so I could geocache in peace. Thankfully I wasn't born with a shopping gene - now caching gene, that's another issue. Visiting from California and enjoying a beautiful day in Christchurch. Dipping some geocoins for the miles. TFTC
16-Nov-09
2298. A quick find while waiting for the train to Tairi Gorge. Beautiful train station which shouldn't be missed. TFTC
2300. Another milestone. After returning from the Taieri Gorge train ride, I spent some time wandering around the city. Rained off and on. Tried for the Octagon cache, but there were just too many muggles sitting at GZ, so gave it a pass. It was quiet over here, and while it took a bit of searching, I finally came up with the find. TFTC
2299. Took the train while visiting on Rhapsody of the Seas. What a beautiful ride. While others were busy shopping I was able to make a quick grab of the cache. Left Red Handed geocoin. TFTC
12-Nov-09
2297. In Hobart for the day and found the park to be quiet. Dropped the Arachnid geocoin. TFTC
2296. In Hobart for the day on Rhapsody of the Seas. After a morning out to Bonorong Wildlife Center, I spent some time walking around town and picking up a couple of caches. Dropped a friend's geocoin in hopes it would make it to Antarctica. TFTC
Dropped Bob the Skull in hopes he'd make it to Antarctica. Such a dilemma - take him to NZ or give him a chance at Antarctica. Settled on the latter. Been fun traveling with you Bob. On to new adventures other cachers.
11-Nov-09
2295. Enjoying the cooler temperatures in Tasmania. Arrived at the cache too late in the morning to view penguins, and won't be able to stay late enough to see them this evening. Had a wonderful bus driver who dropped us at Ferndale and arranged for the next driver to pick us up and take us to our next desired stop. That just wouldn't happen in Los Angeles. Australians are so friendly and helpful. I love it here. TFTC
Dipping Bob the Skull for the miles. He was grabbed from a cache before I had access to log his placement.
10-Nov-09
2294. Made a quick grab on a hot Melbourne day before heading to the visitors center for a walking tour of the city. Dipping travel coins for the miles. TFTC
Appropriate name for a cache to dip Bob the Skull in for the mile. Sorry for the late log, but didn't have computer access to log immediately, and then when I did, Bob was in the hands of another so I had to wait to grab him.
08-Nov-09
2293. Calm seas traveling across the Australian Bight and time to stretch our legs again in port. Hot day in Adelaide, but never to hot to cache. TFTC
Dipping Bob the Skull for the miles. Sorry for the late log but I didn't have computer access and needed to wait until I found him in a cache to catch up.
05-Nov-09
2292. Enjoying a day in Albany while visiting on Rhapsody of the Seas. The whole town seemed to be out to greet us even in a light rain. Dipping coins for the miles. TFTC
Har, what better place for Bob the Skull to visit than the sailing ship Amity. Dipping Bob for the miles. Sorry for the late log, but I didn't have computer access, and was waiting to find him in a cache to grab.
04-Nov-09
2290. Visiting on the cruise ship Rhapsody of the Seas and took a walk to this lovely beach. TFTC
2291. Enjoying a walk along the beach on a beautiful day in Bunbury. Climbed to the top for a great view of the area, counting each step along the way. (Answers to questions sent.) TFTC
Unfortunately the area around the plaque was roped off for maintenance and with the crowds around from the cruise ship in port, I decided not to cross over to get the information. Still it was a nice view.
01-Nov-09
2289. Spent my first full day in Australia with a walk from the CBD to Kings Park. What a beautiful area. Have the answers to the questions, but no valid email address to use. Thanks for bringing me to this informative site.
31-Oct-09
2287. My first Australian cache! After 19 hours of flying Los Angeles to Sydney, Sydney to Perth, I was exhausted, but needed to stretch my legs and also I am working on a challenge cache that required I find a cache on Halloween. As I approached GZ I wasn't sure the cache would be accessible, but it was. Dipping coins for the miles: Mr. Small's class travel ingot, Red Handed, Valorie's Caching Hazards, Dolphin Coin, and Aye Mateys. TFTC

2129. Way back when, part of my family was on the ship "The Welcome" that landed in Philadelphia with William Penn. Thanks for the interesting history. TFTC
2112. Another relatively quick find on our day of mega caching in the Huntington Beach area. TFTC
2136. Parked right in front of GZ for a quick find. TFTC

2155. Shell1fish thanked heaven for a chance for a bathroom break, n6uzs thanked heaven for more food, while TheWonderStuff and I thanked heaven we finally had a chance to chat in the car so I could get some info about NZ for an upcoming trip. TFTC

2153. I have one of these Bermuda Triangles in my house. Stuff falls into it never to be seen again. We succeeded in finding the cache, then disappeared to find another. TFTC

2121. Was more than happy to accommodate the request to move the car just a little for cover. TFTC
2151. A guy was getting into his car right at GZ. Was taking him forever. N6uzs slopped his foot into what appears to be a perpetual bog with green slime. Finally I came up with the cache. TFTC

2122. I had checked this out closely on Google maps before we went out for the day, but I still ended up on the wrong side of the fence. A quick trip around the block got us to where we needed to be for a quick find. TFTC
2148. Found the cache right in the middle of the portable garden. TFTC

2159. This was my nick name as a kid, so of course I had to find it. Hated that name back then, but would love to have it now. TFTC

2147. I walked around searching all possibilities. Then I took a little break and told TWS that my gpsr said I was on top of GZ. Now why I didn't check that out more closely the first time I'll never know, but eventually I did and there it was. TFTC
